Last week, Jessica Simpson made headlines when she announced she’d lost 100 pounds in the six months since giving birth to her daughter Birdie Mae. Now, Amy Schumer’s making a similar announcement—and putting an extremely “Amy Schumer” spin on it.
On Monday, Amy shared a photo of herself on the beach with her sister Kim while wearing a two-piece swimsuit: a black crop-top with matching high-waisted bottoms. Amy gave a shout-out to Jessica in her caption: “Ok Simpson,” she wrote. “I’ve lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker. #norush #givememymoneybackkim.”

Just a reminder: Amy gave birth to her son Gene Attell Fischer nearly five months ago after a particularly tough pregnancy, dealing with a condition called hyperemesis gravidarum, or severe nausea and vomiting.
Amy, of course, didn’t hold back when it came to that news, either, posting from her hospital bed to ler her fans know what was up. “I have hyperemesis and it blows,” Amy wrote in the Instagram caption, shared nearly a year ago. “Very lucky to be pregnant but this is some bullshit!”

She continued her Instagram sharing when she posted photos of herself five weeks after giving birth in a pair of hospital underwear. “Hospital underwear for life,” Amy wrote in the caption. (She also took to Instagram days later to say “sorry, not sorry” to those who criticized her postnatal hospital underwear look.)
As for her most recent Instagram share, it’s clear that fans are loving her honesty about her postnatal body and “no rush” sentiments. “You look incredible. Plus your body created another human. You rock” wrote one commenter, while another shared, “You are so real and that’s what we love about you most!!!” Even more thanked Amy for showing that post-pregnancy weight loss isn’t immediate—and that that’s totally ok.

Amy Schumer is in #norush to lose weight after giving birth to her baby boy Gene. She and her husband, Chris Fischer, welcomed their first son almost five months ago in May. And, naturally, the comedian is armed and ready with her signature humor and plenty of post-pregnancy jokes.
Amy posted a photo to Instagram of her and her sister on the beach. In the photo, both Schumer sisters are wearing high-waisted bikinis and sunglasses while standing on the sandy shore.
Amy joked around with a weight-loss update in the caption: “Ok Simpson! Well I’ve lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker. #norush#givememymoneybackkim”.
Amy gives a shoutout to Jessica Simpson, who gave birth to her baby Birdie Mae six months ago. Jessica also recently announced she lost an impressive 100 pounds in those six months. The singer worked with Harley Pasternak and followed his Body Reset Diet to reach her goal.

Amy’s followers filled the comments with congratulations and lots of love for the new mom. One commenter shared, “Exactly. No rush. Thank you so much for setting this example for the everyday woman who should be focused on healing and learning an entire new life and should be kind to themselves. You look amazing. Good for you.” Other fans commented: “Yes mama!! #norush ♥” and “Rock those suits, ladies!”
Like her previous pregnancy and motherhood updates (remember her hiking excursion in hospital underwear?), Amy is continuing to keep it very real.

Amy Schumer says she’s down 10 pounds postpartum. Jessica Simpson tells her ‘you’re hot’
Amy Haneline USA TODAY Published 6:17 PM EDT Oct 1, 2019
There always seems to be the battle to “bounce back” after having a baby – and it’s especially prevalent among celebrities.
Jessica Simpson took to Instagram last week to share that she is down 100 pounds since giving birth to daughter Birdie Mae Johnson in March. The singer and actress admitted that she “tipped the scale at 240” and was “so proud” to feel like herself again. “Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder,” the mom of three captioned her post.
Well, Amy Schumer’s journey has been a little different, but that’s OK!
The comedian, who gave birth to son Gene Attell Fischer in May, called out Simpson in her own Instagram post.
“Ok Simpson! Well ive lost 10 pounds and 100 dollars to my sister playing poker,” Schumer captioned a photo of her and sister rocking bikinis. She added the hashtags #norush and #givememymoneybackkim.
Simpson was quick to respond and support her fellow mama.
“You’re hot. Size only matters when it comes to men 😜,” Simpson commented.
Fans were quick to praise Schumer for her own weight loss journey and Simpson for her witty response.
“Good job, Amy. You look fantastic,” one commented.
“That’s what I call girl power!” one said to Simpson’s comment.
In a world of constant social media comparisons and mom-shamimg, it’s fun to see celebrities have each other’s backs.
Back in August, singer Pink came to Simpson’s defense when Simpson was shamed for allowing her 7-year-old daughter Maxwell Drew dye her hair with purple highlights.
“I heard people were bummed on Jessica Simpson for letting her seven year old get her hair colored. So we thought we’d share what we did yesterday,” Pink wrote alongside a picture of the singer dyeing her 8-year-old daughter Willow’s hair blue.
Now this is the kind of mom army we want to create.

Amy Schumer Stands Up to Body Shamers with a Series of Bikini Photos
After a designer called out Amy Schumer for being ‘too fat’ to wear a bathing suit on a recent magazine cover, the actress and comedian responded over the weekend in the best way possible. Amy posted eight pictures of herself in a slew of bikinis to her Instagram story while living her best life paddleboarding, hanging on a boat, and walking on the beach. “I feel great,” she wrote. “No haters can f with my baseline.”
Her posts came after designer Dana Duggan posted a comment about the May 2017 cover of InStyle, which features Schumer wearing a one-piece swimsuit while floating in a pool.
“Come on now! You could not find anyone better for this cover?” Duggan wrote on InStyle’s Instagram. “Not everyone should be in a swimsuit,” followed by a vomit emoji.
Duggan’s body-shaming comment is actually quite ironic considering she designs swimsuits-presumably for women who come in many different sizes and shapes.
Duggan defended her remarks telling The Huffington Post: “I appreciate the free press. It’s called freedom of speech. I can have my opinion, and you can have yours. I’m tired of the media and publications trying to push the fat agenda. It’s not healthy, and it’s not pretty. What is wrong with featuring healthy and fit cover models?” Come again??
Luckily, commenters quickly came to Amy’s defense, calling out the designer for her body-shaming. “@southshoreswimwear not everyone should be in a swimsuit?! Swimwear is not just for women who are a size 2!” one commenter wrote. YES-although we hope one day soon this no longer needs to be said.
Unfortunately for Schumer, this isn’t the first time she’s been at the receiving end of body criticism.Recently, she was shamed by Twitter trolls who thought she wasn’t skinny enough to play Barbie in a new live-action remake.
Despite all the haters, Schumer has consistently discussed her body openly, while calling out Hollywood’s unrealistic standards of beauty. And whether you’re a fan of her comedy or not, we can all agree that’s something she deserves a ton of credit for.

Amy Schumer is loving her postpartum body.
The “Growing” comedian, 38, shared several Instagram pictures from a beach day with husband Chris Fischer and son Gene Attell Fischer, whom the couple welcomed in May.
In the photos, Schumer soaks up the sun in a black one-piece swimsuit and baby Gene looks cool as a cucumber in a sunhat while being carried by Fischer, who opted for black trunks.
“We’re good,” Schumer captioned the images, which included a shot of Fischer pushing her around in a beach wheelchair with the couple’s dog, Tatiana, in tow.
Fans flocked to the comment section to compliment her. One follower wrote that Schumer’s “normal womans body” looks “great.”
Schumer proudly replied, “I am loving my warm soft post baby body. Grateful to be feeling so strong again!”

Since giving birth to Gene on May 5, Schumer has maintained a sense of humor while chronicling her days as a new mother. She has also earned praise for her “raw and vulnerable” documentation of postpartum life.
The “I Feel Pretty” star vowed to wear “hospital underwear for life” in June and posted several Instagram photos of herself breast pumping. She also shared a “post baby annoying post” to thank those who helped her throughout her rough pregnancy.

All the feedback, however, hasn’t been positive. The comedian was mom-shamed by some fans who felt it was “too soon” for the comedian to return to work just 14 days after giving birth.
“Sending out love to the moms shaming me for doing standup last night!” Schumer captioned another breast-pumping picture in May, which also featured her hospital underwear.

“I Feel Great”: Amy Schumer’s Inspired Response To Body-Shaming Designer
Amy Schumer is a lady who knows her worth, a quality that is evident in her brilliant riposte to a body-shaming designer.
The 35-year-old comedian posted an Instagram Stories broadcast over the weekend, which showcased a slew of exuberant bikini selfies.
The carefree images show Amy paddle boarding, jumping into the water and generally having an awesome time – all the time looking great in her swimwear.
“I feel great. No haters can f with my baseline,” Amy remarked, drawing her series of swim snaps to a close.

The stand-up star did not directly address Massachusetts-based swimwear designer Dana Duggan, who has come under fire for her mean-spirited response to Amy’s latest InStyle cover.
The magazine’s May edition shows Amy floating on water in a white one-piece swimsuit.
“Come on now!” Dana wrote, in response to a photo of the cover. “You could not find anyone better for this cover? Not everyone should be in a swimsuit.”

As outcry over her comments gained momentum, Dana took to Instagram to defend herself and insisted she had not been fat-shaming Amy.
“I can have my opinion and you can have yours. It called Freedom of Speech. I’m not judging. Just stating my opinion,” she wrote.

Amy has stayed silent on the controversy, as her manager Carrie Byalick told the DailyMail.com that they were busy “celebrating how beautiful the cover is”.
“We’re really proud,” she added.
Despite not naming Dana, Amy’s broadcast on Instagram spoke volumes. She’s clearly happy to step above her haters, and we’re a big fan of her ebullient, two-fingers-up retort.

It’s not the first time Amy has become embroiled in negativity over her body.
Responding to trolls who said she didn’t look the part for a mooted Barbie role in December, the Trainwreck star wrote an impassioned message on Instagram.
“Is it fat-shaming if you know you’re not fat and have zero shame in your game? I don’t think so. I am strong and proud of how I live my life and say what I mean and fight for what I believe in and I have a blast doing it with the people I love. Where’s the shame? It’s not there. It’s an illusion,” she wrote.
“Thanks to everyone for the kind words and support and again my deepest sympathy goes out to the trolls who are in more pain than we will ever understand,” she continued. “I want to thank them for making it so evident that I am a great choice. It’s that kind of response that let’s you know something’s wrong with our culture and we all need to work together to change it.”

Amy Schumer Is ‘Loving’ Her ‘Warm,’ ‘Soft’ Body After Baby: ‘Grateful to Be Feeling So Strong’
Amy Schumer is fully embracing her body after baby.
The 38-year-old Growing comedian and husband Chris Fischer recently enjoyed a beach day with their son, Gene Attell (whom the couple welcomed on May 5), where Schumer soaked up the sun in a black one-piece swimsuit by Lonely Lingerie.
In the first snapshot the new mom shared to Instagram on Sunday, the family is trailed by their pup, Tati, as they walk up from the ocean. Schumer strolls along the beach with a huge smile on her face while her husband carries their sun-hat-adorned baby boy.
“We’re good,” she captioned the image — the second of which showed Fischer pushing his wife and their dog in a wheelchair over the sand.
One fan left a sweet comment telling Schumer she looked “great” in her swimsuit with “a normal womans body,” to which the star replied, “I am loving my warm soft post-baby body. Grateful to be feeling so strong again!”

Schumer was candid about her struggles while expecting — namely with hyperemesis gravidarum, a form of acute morning sickness she dealt with throughout her pregnancy that even forced her into the hospital in November.

But the star hasn’t shied away from detailing the less-than-glamorous parts of life after childbirth, either. Last month, the I Feel Pretty actress shared two photographs of herself that showcased the star spending time with her newborn on two separate occasions while wearing her stretchy, white “hospital underwear.”
Schumer addressed critics on Instagram by sharing another pair of snapshots that showed her walking outdoors wearing all black — the second in which she had her shirt pulled up, showing off her cesarean-section scar as she stuck out her tongue and flashed a peace sign to the camera.
“I’m really sorry if I offended anyone with my hospital underwear. Except I’m just kidding. #csection #balmain,” she captioned the clapback post.

In January, four months ahead of Gene’s birth, Schumer revealed she wasn’t letting morning sickness stop her from enjoying some fun in the sun.
The then-pregnant actress and comedian posted a video of herself in a one-piece swimsuit as she ran down the beach in slow motion. She soundtracked the clip with Warrant’s 1990 classic “Cherry Pie” in the background.
Schumer captioned the post, “I puke anything I eat up until 4pm. But then I’m like … ” She also added the hashtags, “#baywatch,” “#eyecandy” and “#DandG.”
Amy Schumer has always been body-positive. Now, she’s sharing her love of her post-baby body with fans.
On Sunday, July 28, the comedian posted a photo of herself on Instagram grinning as she strolled down a beach in a one-piece bathing suit by Lonely. Her husband, Chris Fischer, walks next to her holding their 2-month-old son, Gene, in a baby sun hat, and Schumer’s dog, Tati, follows behind. She captioned the pic, “We’re good.” She shared a second photo in the same post that pictured Fischer, 38, pushing her and Tati along the sand in a beach wheelchair.
Fans responded warmly to the sweet scene, and many praised the 38-year-old I Feel Pretty actress for her realistic depiction of motherhood and post-baby weight loss. When one fan wrote, “So beautifull a normal womans body you look great!!💚,” Schumer responded with gratitude for her physique.
“I am loving my warm soft post baby body,” the star wrote. “Grateful to be feeling so strong again!”

With her trademark wit, the author of The Girl With the Lower Back Tattoo has been very open about pregnancy and motherhood, posting multiple photos of herself in hospital underwear and pumping.
On May 21, she posted a photo of herself pumping breast milk the morning after she returned to the stage for a standup bit. “Sending out love to the moms shaming me for doing standup last night!” she wrote, adding the hashtag, #schumerpumprules.

She also posted a fake apology for her underwear posts on June 12. “I’m really sorry if I offended anyone with my hospital underwear,” she wrote on a series of two paparazzi photos, the last of which pictured her pulling up her t-shirt to show her C-section scar while flashing the peace sign and sticking out her tongue. “Except I’m just kidding.”

We’re pretty bummed this still has to be said in 2017, but every body is a swim suit body. Can a bikini go on your body? Then you have a bikini body. Wanna rock a one-piece even though you dare to not fit into the sample size? Rock. It.
Comedian and actor Amy Schumer is the latest cover model for InStyle and posed in a Ralph Lauren bathing suit. She was in a pool. What else would she wear?
Looking fabulous in a deep V white suit, Schumer posted the image to her Instagram account this week, writing about being so proud to be on the magazine’s cover and joking that she’s now a Hadid sister.
So proud to be on the cover of @instylemagazine! Thank you @laurabrown99 for the opportunity,@carterbedloesmith for confirming I’m a Hadid, @kimmykuppkakes for hair, @andrea_tiller for makeup, @cristinaehrlich for styling @jessseinfeld for interviewing me!
While Schumer’s Instagram feed has been flooded by mostly positive comments — with fans writing that the comedian looks spectacular, powerful, amazing and beautiful — there are unfortunately the haters.
One in particular is swimsuit designer Dana Duggan. The founder of South Shore Swimwear in Massachusetts commented on InStyle’s Instagram account, which also posted the same cover image of Schumer. In her comment, Duggan wrote, “Come on now! You could not find anyone better for this cover? Not everyone should be in a swimsuit.”
Come. On. Are we still doing this?
Duggan has since deleted her comment, but that hasn’t stopped people from replying to her remarks on InStyle‘s Instagram feed. One user named manya_chatterjee wrote, “Isn’t the point of a swimsuit to go swimming in and we swim with our bodies? Sorry but people bigger than a size 4 go swimming.”
User hayliesnipes commented directly at South Shore Swimwear, writing, “is this really the brand you wish to portray? Your target demographic is women. And even though you may not cater to a plus size market, your market more than likely still will not support you if you continue to publish shameful opinions. Freedom of speech at the risk of sacrificing your brand? Your choice, hun.”
This is hardly the first time Schumer has been body shammed in public, with the comedian previously receiving backlash for being cast as the real-life Barbie, a role she recently stepped away from, but not before suggesting Mindy Kaling as her replacement. We can only dream.
Sadly, this won’t be the last time Schumer or any other woman in Hollywood and beyond comes under fire for daring to look like themselves. This is exactly why we need cover models who don’t conform to traditional media-influenced body shapes, sizes and colours.
As for Schumer, we think she’s doing just fine.
When the shoot is over, cannonballs are a must. @amyschumer 💦#BTS
Schumer did make time for a snapshot with her chef husband, Chris Fischer. They also took their own getaway, a honeymoon in Italy, in March following their surprise wedding in February.
While traveling in Europe just last week, Schumer, 37, shot down rumors that she and Fischer are expecting a child, after she seemed to showcase her stomach in a snapshot.
“I am not pregnant. I am… not pregnant,” she later wrote on Instagram, after she realized that her photo was prompting baby bump speculation. “It looked like I was pointing to a bump or something but I’m not. Leesa Evans and I have created a clothing line for all sizes and shapes and at a chill price point. That’s what I was trying to allude to but thank you for thinking of my womb.”
Earlier in her trip, Schumer joked about another feature on her body: her tattoo, which she’s not a fan of anymore.
The Trainwreck star has long been an advocate for body confidence. Talk about imperfections doesn’t register with her anymore, she told the Project in April.
“I’ve been in the public eye in some way for 10 years, doing standup for 15 years, so I’ve heard every insult you could possibly imagine,” Schumer said. “I am very desensitized to it, I couldn’t read something mean about myself and feel bad about it if I wanted to. Also I know that that’s not who I am.”
She added, “Nothing can really mess with my baseline at this point in terms of my confidence. I have never been apologetic for what could be considered a flaw on my body.”

“I feel great. No haters can f with my baseline,” she concluded her series, which included her leaping in the air, riding in a boat and paddle boarding.
