Rating: 81/100. The Brazil Butt Lift Base Kit is a customizable home workout program for shaping the glute muscles. The kit includes a guide to what different exercises do, a set of workout videos, and more. Over eight weeks you’ll use different video workouts depending on your “booty type” or body shape.

The various Brazil Butt Lift exercises work together to strengthen the three glute muscles for a perky and rounded result. They also help burn fat, bringing a more contoured look to your rear end and whole body.

Each exercise video is 10 to 50 minutes long with strength and cardio training moves inspired by ballet, capoeira and Afro-Brazilian dance. The videos are led by the Brazilian-born “personal trainer to supermodels” Leandro Carvalho, who gets international recognition for his one-on-one work and fitness classes.

The Base Kit of three DVDs is shipped with a resistance band, meal recommendations and other extras. It costs about $50 including shipping and handling. The Deluxe Kit includes ankle weights, stronger resistance bands, and three additional workouts from Leandro to help maximize results. It costs about twice as much.

Brazil Butt Lift videos are available on DVD and streaming from the Beachbody On Demand website. Beachbody has a 60-day refund period for the basic and deluxe DVD sets.

Pros:

  • Shapes your bottom. Brazil Butt Lift exercises strengthen all three gluteal muscles: maximus, minimus and medius. This provides shapely structure. At the same time, the exercises reduce fat around these muscles for a firmer look.

Cons:

  • Time commitment. Leandro’s Beachbody booty lift workouts usually take at least 20 minutes/day and are high-energy. One of the videos is 50 minutes. You get one or two days off per week, but you might prefer a program that’s easier to fit into an extremely packed day.
  • Commercial messages. The Butt Lift workout videos, like all Beachbody workout videos, include advertisements for Shakeology (a nutrition drink mix) and other Beachbody products.
  • Sore muscles. Expect soreness from working your gluteal muscles like never before! If you won’t stay committed when some pain is involved, then moderate-intensity dancing, pilates or yoga might be a better home exercise match.

Who is the winner of Miss BumBum 2017?

Rosie Oliveira, from Amazonas, has now been crowned the winner of Miss BumBum 2017.

Fifteen hopefuls gyrated their rotund rears as they competed for the prestigious crown – which promises fame and fortune to the lucky winner.

But the 28-year-old, who was a favourite throughout, was crowned champion on November 6.

Rosie, who works as a model and reporter, shocked organisers during the competition – by holding a flag of her homeland with a strong message against the current Brazilian president.

How does Miss BumBum work?

Miss BumBum is a Brazilian beauty competition where big bottomed ladies compete for the crown.

Judging for the 2017 competition officially started on August 7 and the winner was announced three months later, on November 6.

The competition was billed as “more elegant” this year – with bums bigger than 107cm BANNED from the contest.

People can vote from anywhere in the world and last year they received about 17 million votes, according to creators.

A final is held in Brazil, with a catwalk and photoshoots, where the winner is eventually crowned.

Who were the contestants of Miss BumBum 2017?

A number of this year’s contestants were causing a stir – and not just for their derrières.

Curvy Gilliane Bonheur, 24, hit headlines after vowing to remove her silicone bum implants so she doesn’t have an “unfair advantage” in the competition.

And contestant Rangel Carlos revealed she’s in a polyamorous relationship with both a man and a woman – and the three are raising a child together.

Playboy model Jeni Summers made history as the first American to compete in the world-famous Miss BumBum competition this year.

Jaw-dropping pictures also showed the 27 finalists of this year’s Miss BumBum competition taking part in a unique five-a-side football tournament.

Who won Miss BumBum 2016?

Last year it was Erika Canela, from Bahia, who was crowned winner after the fiercely fought contest.

Erika, who has a 42inch bottom, took home an £18,000 prize and a lucrative modelling contract.

The curvy 20-year-old was the first black woman to win the popular beauty pageant in which more than 17 million people vote for the country’s sexiest backside.

She has since commemorated her victory by getting a tattoo of Donald Trump on her body after winning the title on the same day as he won the US election.

Erika also revealed Cristiano Ronaldo invited her round for dinner after chatting her up on WhatsApp.

The stunning model claims he asked her to meet him while she was in Lisbon filming a reality TV show – and he was away from girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez playing for Portugal.

Forget dangerous, invasive plastic surgery and gaudy, awkward padded jeans and add this butt lifting workout routine to your regular exercise program.
The glutes are of course a muscle; one that happens to respond especially well to toning exercises. If you want a bigger, fuller, lifted butt, the moves in this workout can make a big difference.
As people age and/or become less physically active, the large glute muscle will loosen, which causes it to sag (because it is a large muscle with a great deal of mass).
Because the glute muscles expand upward and outward when they are strengthened, you can easily (well, relatively easy; exercise is work!) reverse a sagging bottom and get a perky, round butt by training with the video above. You should do these butt lifting exercises three to four times per week, giving your lower body a day of rest in between workouts (this “off” day for your legs can be a great time to turn the focus on toning the upper body).
Aside from being able to make a serious impact on your body’s shape and curves, this workout also burns a high number of calories because of all of the large muscle groups that it engages.
Doing this routine will target and tone the inner and outer thighs, hamstrings, quadriceps, calves, obliques, abdominals and lower back. It requires good balance, but even someone who lacks an excess of coordination can modify these exercises in order to find a version that will help to build their baseline agility.
Remember, the most important thing to focus on while you are doing a movement is form; always choose the hardest version of an exercise that you can do with perfect form. Sacrificing form will make for a less effective workout, so make those details a priority.
If you do this workout regularly (3 – 4 times a week), you should be able to tell a difference in your body composition as soon as two weeks after your first run-through. Keep at this calorie blasting bodyweight workout for a month and you will definitely notice a difference in your body tone and if you have incorporated healthy eating habits, likely a change in the number on the scale as well.

Depending on weight, gender, existing fitness level, actual exertion levels, lean muscle mass, and other variables, this routine will burn between 280-380 calories.

What is a Brazilian butt lift?

  • You are willing and able to avoid sitting directly on your buttocks for several weeks

Despite its name, a Brazilian butt lift is not a traditional “lifting” procedure—it does not address loose skin on the buttocks. If you are bothered by excess, sagging skin on the buttocks or thighs, thigh & buttock lift surgery may be a more suitable option.

Brazilian butt lift vs. buttock implants

One significant advantage of Brazilian butt lift surgery is that it increases buttock size without implants. In the hands of a specially trained cosmetic surgeon who operates in an accredited facility, the procedure has a low risk for complications and can achieve remarkably natural looking and feeling results.

However, if you are very lean, you may not have enough fat to harvest, and buttock implants may be the only way to achieve your desired size increase. Buttock implants may be a good option for some patients; however, it is important to understand the added risks of having implants, including capsular contracture and a higher risk for infection. Buttock implants can also look and feel less natural compared to a skillfully performed Brazilian butt lift.

What is involved in Brazilian butt lift surgery?

A Brazilian butt lift involves three basic steps:

  1. Fat is removed from the hips, lower back, thighs, abdomen, and/or other areas with liposuction
  2. The extracted fat is purified and prepared for transfer
  3. The cosmetic surgeon injects fat into specific points on the buttocks to increase volume and improve shape

Surgery is typically performed as an outpatient procedure, using general anesthesia or intravenous sedation and local anesthesia. It is typical for a portion of the injected fat not to “take” in its new location—an experienced cosmetic surgeon will take this into account and may initially inject a slightly greater amount of fat into the buttocks than is needed to ensure your final results most closely achieve your goals.

Recovering after your Brazilian butt lift

Having an operation on the buttocks requires some special modifications during recovery. While pain is typically minimal and easily controlled through pain medication, you will not be allowed to sit or lie directly on your buttocks for about 2 weeks after a Brazilian butt lift.

During this time, you will need to sleep on your stomach or side, and either lie this way or stand for all activity except using the toilet. When you are ready, your cosmetic surgeon will allow you to sit in a modified position, using a “donut” seat or placing a pillow under your thighs to avoid pressure on the buttocks. Normal sitting activity is typically allowed after 8 weeks or so.

Given you follow your cosmetic surgeon’s instructions, you should be able to resume light daily activities within 1 week after surgery and return to work within 10 to 14 days.

Life after Brazilian butt lift surgery

Brazilian butt lift results are meant to last for many years. Fat cells removed with liposuction will not return to the area, and fat cells that survive transfer to the buttocks will remain for years to come. However, significant weight fluctuations can affect your results, so maintain a stable weight to keep your results looking their best.

Results are typically final within 6 months of surgery, after residual swelling has gone away and you are fully healed. By this time, your curvier buttocks and improved lower body proportions will be noticeable in how you look and in the way clothing fits.

Brazilian butts are so well respected and envied, that many people strive to copy this look. The term ‘Brazilian butt’ was born, and is even now a feature many aspire to achieve.

So how does one reproduce this look as the average non-Brazilian? There are a couple of options – either cosmetic surgical procedures, or a diet and exercise routine.

Brazilian Butt Lift Surgery

Cosmetic surgery to enhance the butt is known as butt augmentation, and has skyrocketed in popularity recently, as more Americans are waking up to the idea that booty=bootyful! (beautiful).

A specific type of surgery was even named after Brazil – the co-called Brazilian butt lift. This cosmetic procedure involves molding the butt to be perkier, rounder and more evenly shaped through fat grafting from other areas of the body. The procedure uses your own fat so is a more ‘natural’ alternative to artificial fillers like implants and plumping injections.

One downside of the surgery is that it can be very expensive, and is an invasive procedure with long recovery times. Another risk is that you can’t be sure that the graft will ‘take’, so your end result is a bit of a gamble.

Exercise is a Free and Easy Alternative to Try First!

You don’t necessarily have to turn to surgery to get a Brazilian butt. Exercise (the right kind of exercise) is a great way to firm, lift and tone up the shape of your butt – and it’s free!

Because the butt is shaped by both fat and muscle, building up the size of the muscles in the butt can amplify and boost up your butt shape, just like a Brazilian butt lift.

Of course, you get added advantages with building a but through exercise instead of surgery – and that is a stronger and more powerful butt, which can lead to overall weight loss through a faster metabolism, better posture, and more physical power.
