Britney Spears is setting the record straight.
Amid reports that the pop singer, 37, checked into a residential mental health facility earlier this month, Spears took to Instagram Tuesday to squelch rumors and let fans know she is doing OK.
“Hi, guys, just checking in with all of you who are concerned about me,” she said. “All is well. My family has been going through a lot of stress and anxiety lately, so I just needed time to deal, but don’t worry I’ll be back very soon.”
Spears elaborated in the caption.

“I wanted to say hi, because things that are being said have just gotten out of control!!! Wow!!!” she began.
“There’s rumors, death threats to my family and my team, and just so many things crazy things being said. I am trying to take a moment for myself, but everything that’s happening is just making it harder for me.”

The mother of two also went after former manager Sam Lutfi for sending fake emails.
“Don’t believe everything you read and hear,” she wrote. “These fake emails everywhere were crafted by Sam Lutfi years ago… I did not write them. He was pretending to be me and communicating with my team with a fake email address.”
The singer, whose stay in the facility has inspired the #FreeBritney hashtag, finished up by writing that she’s doing what she can to remain strong.
“My situation is unique, but I promise I’m doing what’s best at this moment You may not know this about me, but I am strong, and stand up for what I want! Your love and dedication is amazing, but what I need right now is a little bit of privacy to deal with all the hard things that life is throwing my way. If you could do that, I would be forever grateful. Love you,” she wrote.
Sister Jamie Lynn Spears rallied to her side, also taking to Instagram to defend her big sister.
“10 years ago, who was there??” she wrote. “I have been here long before anyone else, and I’ll be here long after. I love my sister with everything I have.”
In January, the “…Baby One More Time” singer said she was postponing her Las Vegas residency so she could stay with her father, Jamie Spears, who she said almost died after a hospitalization. The elder Spears suffered a ruptured colon.
“I will not be performing my new show Domination. I’ve been looking forward to this show and seeing all of you this year, so doing this breaks my heart,” she wrote.
“However, it’s important to always put your family first… and that’s the decision I had to make.”
Is Britney Spears Shooting A New Music Video?
Yesterday, fashion designer Nikki Lund sent Britney Spears fans’ hearts a-flutter across the web when she posted a cryptic but telling photo that seemed to suggest she was working on a new Britney video—basically revealing along with her post that there is, in fact, a new Britney Spears video in the works and on the way.
Breathe (heavy), Brit Brit fans—we’ll get through this together.
The photo, which simply featured a collection colored pencils, pens, and other design sketching materials as well as blurry sketches splayed out on a table, was captioned, “Excited to be working w/ #gorgeous @britneyspears #itsbritneybitch #QueenofPop on #newnew #musicvideo #photoshoot #design #fashion ooh la la,” along with a handful of snazzy emojis.
However, after gaining some attention within the pop music blogging community, the post was removed from the designer’s account within a few hours. Hmmm… Looks like someone maybe wasn’t supposed to let the cat out of the bag with that Instagram post, huh?
Fortunately, some fans were able to grab a screenshot and you can view the grab here if you’re not willing to take my word for it.
Now, Britney’s last album, Britney Jean, was released back in 2013, and considering we’re already in the last half of 2015, that’s almost like 100 years in pop music time. Plus, Britney has been in the studio over the summer, and recently revealed that she has been “working with some women who are amazing writers” on “fun, cheeky, sexy stuff.” Therefore, it makes perfect sense that a new video, and new music, could be right around the corner!
For now, we’ll just have to prowl Instagram for more clues. Stay calm and stay tuned…

The “Toxic” singer took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a video of herself doing yoga in a purple polka-dot bikini in her backyard.
“Today, I’m outside and I’m about to do a little bit of yoga to open up my back and my chest,” she said in the video. “I’m out here with my dogs and we’re going to have a beautiful day.”

After a quick shot of her pups running around the yard, the video cuts to Spears, 38, as she strikes multiple yoga poses.

“In 2020 I will be doing a lot more acro yoga and the basics for yoga,” she began. “I’m a beginner and it’s kind of hard to let go …. learning to trust and letting someone else hold your body 😳 !!! I have a lot of things I keep bottled up so I have to keep my body moving !!!!”

Britney Spears is letting fans in on her 2020 health goals, which involve doing more yoga and connecting with nature.
In a new Instagram video, Spears showcased some of her yoga skills, sharing a series of moves that she said help to open up her back and chest. “In 2020 I will be doing a lot more acroyoga and the basics for yoga,” she wrote alongside the video, which shows her flowing through Chaturanga (or plank to four-limbed staff pose), upward facing dog, and downward facing dog. “I’m a beginner and it’s kind of hard to let go…. learning to trust and letting someone else hold your body,” continued Spears. “I have a lot of things I keep bottled up so I have to keep my body moving.” (Related: Britney Spears Is Our Ultimate Summer Workout Inspiration)
The benefits of yoga are hard to refute. The exercise, which combines deep, meditative breathing with slow, strengthening movements, is incredibly healthy for both the body and mind. Some upfront perks include improved flexibility and balance, better muscle tone, and a calmer mental state.
But the practice can offer some less-obvious benefits, too. Certain poses can potentially improve your immune system, ease PMS and cramps, boost things in the bedroom, and more. Yoga can even sometimes help those living with chronic pain conditions, like Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), a rare connective tissue disorder related to fibromyalgia that causes extra-elastic skin and overly flexible joints. In her post, Spears also shared the fulfillment she feels being outside in nature. “Thank God for Mother Nature,” she wrote. “She’s really no joke. In addition to practicing more yoga in 2020, Spears also expressed interest in improving her running skills. Being famous is a tough gig and she takes time out of her busy day to show off what she is doing on Instagram.
This week isn’t any different and she took a time out to show off her body while doing yoga.
The 37-year-old was doing the splits in barely-there workout gear and thigh high white socks.
So I found this adorable simple yoga studio in Maui … I tried to start off by doing yoga –♀️ but I danced the first 20 minutes and let go ….. I finished with stretching, splits and yoga! Most of the year I did a lot of heat yoga, and I over did it. I prefer cardio and dancing now !!! My trip to Maui was amazing, but I lost 7 hours of footage because my phone didn’t have a back up plan. I was extremely upset … I had 3 outside videos and 7 pics and hotel footage … but anyhow … I kept moving forward !!! Oh, and at night the studio had baby twinkle lights .. I preferred nights … it was magical ——

4 Exercises to Steal from Britney Spears
If you’ve ever wondered how Britney Spears stays fit enough to perform those marathon concerts almost nightly in Vegas and look like *that* while wrangling two kids, you’ll easily find the answer on Instagram. We know she can get down on the dance floor like crazy (remember that totally enthralling video of her dancing to Meghan Trainor’s ‘Me Too’?), but over the past couple of months, Brit has been posting peeks into her workout routines-and the moves she does are surprisingly relatable. Some of our favorites:
1. ViPR Step Up Knee Raise
You may have seen these long hollow tubes at your gym before, but lots of people aren’t totally sure what to do with them. Here’s an idea you can definitely try: this step up knee raise while holding the ViPR overhead. Britney’s using a basic aerobic step, but as you get better at the move you can graduate to higher boxes if you choose. (If you’re still thinking “WTF do you do with a ViPR at the gym?,” we’ve got you covered.)
2. Handstand Walk
If you’re a CrossFitter, you probably recognize this exercise, which takes serious balance and coordination to successfully complete. Not only are you holding a handstand, but you’re also walking on your hands at the same time. It’s a tough gymnastic skill to master, but once you get the hang of it, you’ll be having as much fun as Britney is in this video. (Want to master the regular handstand pose first? 3. Bicep Curls and Thrusters
Looks like Britney is doing strength training on the reg, which is awesome because it helps prevent injury, keeps your bones healthy, and burns a ton of calories. Here she’s using a body bar to do some simple bicep curls, followed by thrusters, a move where you do a squat to an overhead press in one fluid motion. If you’re looking for that metabolic burn, you’ll find it with this exercise.
4. Yoga Handstand
Brit really loves her handstands, and she may be onto something. Handstands actually have some pretty amazing health benefits, like improved stability and arm strength. Using a wall to work up to a full handstand is also a great modification for those who are newer to the pose. Plus, the star’s long-term dedication to yoga is really admirable, and it sounds like it gives her the same kind of peace of mind and body confidence that makes others love the practice.
