When Candace Cameron Bure, who’s now 40, first appeared on television, she was only a kid. Now that she’s starring in Fuller House and co-hosting The View, anyone with eyes can see she’s managed to stay in incredible shape, despite some bumps along the way. (Candace is super open about her history with disordered eating: She suffered from bulimia during her early 20s, but now considers herself fully recovered, and works to raise awareness about the condition.)

Now, the woman can easily outpace just about any twentysomething:

Influenced by her dad (a healthy eater) and Marilu Henner, actress and author of Total Health Makeover, Candace has always made nutrition a big part of her life. “I keep a fairly strict diet,” she said. “My job depends on it.”

Despite a hectic work and travel schedule — the actress bops between sets in New York and L.A. on the regular — Candace generally feels great about her body. “Like most women, I fuss about a few things I wish I could change,” she told Cosmopolitan.com of her figure. ” I am at my best weight and fitness level considering my lifestyle.”

Candace says she eats mostly vegan with the exception of egg whites, the occasional piece of fish, and situations where there are no vegan options. Instead of meats, she relies on nuts, seeds, beans, and whole grains like quinoa for protein. She also avoids dairy and swears the change cured her irritable stomach issues, reduced puffiness in her face and body, and cured her chronic congestion and cough.

Here’s how the actress maintains her enviable figure — and her health.

DAY 1

8 a.m.: Before I headed out for a 12-hour journey back to New York City from Hawaii (for a friend’s wedding), I made a Shakeology protein shake with half a banana and almond milk. No workout today, but the day definitely called for coffee, so I drank a cup of it with almond milk.

12:30 p.m.: Right before my flight took off, I ate an ahi poke bowl with brown rice and cabbage in coconut milk — it’s my favorite healthy lunch in Maui from a place called Coconuts. I planned ahead so I wouldn’t need to eat plane food, although I snacked on a banana and drank lots of water during the six-hour flight. When I fly, I always drink a ton of water — no alcohol — and limit my food intake, which makes me feel best when I land. Otherwise, my body reacts to salty food and alcohol by puffing up immediately.

9 p.m. (6 p.m. Hawaii time): I had a short layover in Los Angeles and ate dinner at an airport restaurant called Lemonade, where I got a kale salad with tomato, avocado, and quinoa. Back in the air, I slept all of 5.5 hours, drinking only water.

DAY 2

7 a.m.: When I landed, I headed straight to the set of The View, where I had a cup of coffee and my go-to Shakeology powder, banana, and almond milk shake.

12:30 p.m.: When I work on The View, I get to order lunch from a restaurant of my choice. Today, it was a kale salad with edamame, quinoa, and veggies, dressed with lemon and olive oil from Juice Press. I almost always order a salad, just mix it up with different restaurants and ingredients — sometimes sweet potatoes and steamed vegetables.

2 p.m.: Snack time! I went for a red apple.

3 p.m.: I ate half of a Nugo Slim vegan protein bar to gear up for a 90-minute workout with Kira Stokes, a trainer I’ve been working with for about six months.

I typically work out on my own for an hour at least five days a week, depending on my travel schedule, but when I work out with Kira, sessions can run up to two hours. She always incorporates a unique combination of functional movements, resistance training, and cardiovascular conditioning, using free weights, body weight, gliders, and portable equipment like jump rope, resistance bands, BOSU, and weighted balls.

I don’t love cooking, so when I’m on my own in New York, I tend to eat prepared foods, like lentil soup from Juice Press and Whole Foods. I don’t always eat soup for dinner, but it’s surprisingly filling. I ate an orange for dessert — although I’ll sometimes have few pieces of dark chocolate when I’m craving something sweeter.

10 a.m.: For a snack, I had two hard-boiled egg whites.

12:30 p.m.: I ordered a roasted vegetable salad with kale and sunflower seeds for lunch.

2:30 p.m.: Before my workout, I ate about 3 tablespoons of Sabra hummus with raw veggies. The hummus is a guestimate — I don’t actually measure any of my food.

3:30 p.m.: Another workout with Kira! (I try to see her three or four days a week when I’m in in New York City.) This session ran an hour.

5:15 p.m.: Because I was short on time and needed to catch my flight, I had a protein shake from the gym (made with almond milk, whey protein powder, about a teaspoon of almond butter, half a banana, and kale) on my way to the airport, and called it dinner.

7:30 p.m.: On the flight, I had a snack: a green salad with nuts, grilled veggies, and pesto spread with three small toasts — the appetizers served on my flight. I skipped the main meal, but drank a glass of wine because I’m not walking off the flight and into work. I ate an apple for dessert.

Candace Cameron’s Weight Loss Diet

Candace Cameron Bure agrees that she never felt so fit and amazing before. And she follows a strict diet to maintain the body that she loves. In an interview, she said, “When you’re hired to play a specific role and look a certain way, it’s something that you have to keep up with, especially being on a television series.” She is mostly on a vegan diet except for eggs and the occasional fish. Here’s Candace Cameron’s diet plan.

Candace also avoids dairy, and it helps reduce stomach inflammation, chronic cough, congestion, and puffiness in her face and body. If you think that you have stomach issues that may be triggered due to dairy consumption, cut off dairy from your diet for a few days and see if there’s any difference. Also, talk to your doctor before you conclude that the stomach issues are due to dairy products.

Now, let’s see how Candace Cameron trains to lose fat and build lean muscle mass.

Candace Cameron’s Weight Loss Exercise Routine

Candace works out with Kira Stokes, a fitness coach of athletes, dancers, celebs, and anyone who wants to be fit. She says, “I typically work out on my own for an hour at least five days a week, depending on my travel schedule, but when I workout with Kira, sessions can run up to two hours.“ Here’s how Candace Cameron shapes her body.

  • Day 1 – Cardio
  • Day 2 – Resistance training
  • Day 3 – HIIT
  • Day 4 – Resistance training using free weights, body weight, gliders, and portable equipment like jump rope, resistance bands, BOSU, and weighted balls.
  • Day 5 – Rest
  • Day 6 – HIIT and resistance training
  • Day 7 – Rest

Apart from working out and eating healthily, Candace Cameron also follows certain rules that work for her. Here’s all you need to know about her lifestyle.

Candace Cameron’s Weight Loss Lifestyle

  • No Refined Sugar, White Flour, And Dairy

Candace Cameron suffered from stomach irritation and hence decided to leave out dairy. And she benefitted from it. Her digestion problems ceased to exist. She also avoids sugar and white flower as they are high in calories and have low nutritional value.

  • Eat Plant-Based Food

She mostly eats vegan food but includes two egg whites to provide her body with adequate dietary protein. She also consumes fish on rare occasions or when there are no vegan options available.

  • Eat What Your Body Can Tolerate

Candace sticks to the same breakfast/lunch/dinner/snack options. She loves eating veggies, fruits, whole grains, etc., which keep her digestive system functioning and metabolism firing. Instead of shocking the digestive system and consuming food that will harm you, stick to the “boring” everyday food.

  • Consume Carbs Before Workout And Protein After

Candace loads up on good carbs such as oats and quinoa and consumes a protein-rich snack/meal to help her muscles recover and rebuild.

  • Get Social Support

Social support is extremely important for weight loss. Candace suggests you get a partner who eats healthily and works out – basically, someone who leads a healthy lifestyle. This will help you stay on track, motivate you to do better, and keep you away from obesity-related health issues.

  • Control Portion Size

Serve food on a small plate. This will keep the portion size in control and prevent you from overeating. All five members of Candace Cameron Bure’s family eat together, and all of them eat as much as is required by their body. This keeps all of them healthy.

  • Do Not Stuff Yourself With Food

Do not eat until you are fully satisfied. At home or restaurants (especially buffets), avoid consuming food till you feel stuffed and difficult to breathe. Overeating is the main reason for weight gain and should not be indulged in.

  • Follow The 80/20 Rule

Candace Cameron Bure suggests following the 80/20 rule when it comes to staying healthy and fit. This means that 80% of the time, you should consume healthy foods and have your favorite treats 20% of the time. This will also give your body a pleasant surprise and prevent the weight loss from plateauing.

So, this is all about Candace Cameron Bure’s weight loss plan, but how will it help you? Well, find out next.

How Will Candace Cameron’s Weight Loss Secret Help You?

It will not! Candace Cameron’s body is different from yours. So, her diet and weight loss regimen will not work as effectively for you as they do for her. You have to get a customized diet and workout plan for yourself. For example, depending on your body type, your trainer or dietitian will decide if you should have a protein+carb drink before, after, or during the workout session or if you don’t need to drink it at all. Or if you should avoid dairy. Yes, you should be inspired by Cameron Candace’s weight loss story and the way she takes her fitness so seriously, but do not follow her weight loss regimen blindly. Here are some pointers for you.

Points To Remember

  • Keep yourself hydrated.
  • Throw out all the junk food from your home.
  • Consume five types of veggies and three types of fruits every day.
  • Avoid packaged drinks, processed foods, or ready-to-eat meals.
  • Cook at home.
  • Workout regularly.
  • Keep the stress away.
  • Sleep for 7 hours.
  • Wake up early, do yoga, and have breakfast before you head out.
  • Say NO to sugar and high-sodium foods.
  • Go on long walks.

Make fitness your goal, and you will start looking ravishing, refreshing, and young like Candace Cameron. So, talk to your doctor or a dietitian and start losing weight right away. Take care!

Candace Cameron-Bure shares tips for living a healthier life

The “Fuller House” star talks fitness motivation and working out on the go.

If you follow Candace Cameron-Bure on social media, chances are you’ve seen more than a few of the “Fuller House” star’s fitness posts. The actress is known to sneak in a workout whenever she can, even on set during a long day of filming. That’s because the wife and mother of three truly loves maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

Cameron-Bure sat down with Fox News to discuss a few of her best fitness tips and tricks, which she writes about in her new Lifestyle book, “Staying Stylish,” including how she manages to stay fit even without a gym and what go-to healthy foods she eats to feel her best.

6 WAYS TO MAKE YOUR 2018 RESOLUTIONS STICK IN THE NEW YEAR

The busy actress says she started working out regularly during her 20s, but stopped when she had kids. Once she hit her 30s, she says, that’s when she really found the joy in exercise.

“I realized how much better my mindset is and my attitude when I put some exercise in because there are endorphins that are released that chemically actually make you a happier person. So fitness has become really important to me because I feel better from the inside out,” she said.

If you’re just starting your fitness journey or looking to live a healthier life, Cameron-Bure says your motivation has to come from within. And the easiest way to get started, she says, is just by moving. Even if you don’t have access to a gym or think you’re too busy to exercise, that’s no excuse. The actress says it’s all about priorities and finding small opportunities throughout the day.

“Even on days when I’m working very long hours, I can’t fit an hour long workout in, but I can fit in several 10-minute mini workouts. It’s not going to give me the same results as putting in the time every day but it still makes a difference. So if I can get in 10 push-ups here and there, do a couple squats while I’m waiting in line for something, that’s what I do. It will help change your body and it motivates you to make more time to work on your health and fitness,” she said.

When it comes to eating healthy, Cameron-Bure doesn’t consider herself much of a cook, but loves to prepare nutritious meals that are quick and easy. “My go-to is those frozen bags of riced cauliflower. Throw it in the pan and it either acts as rice or potato and then you can put whatever you want on top of it,” she said. She’s also a fan of salads loaded with veggies and protein.

Fuller House star Candace Cameron Bure is 40 years old and feels better about her body now than before she had her first of three children 15 years ago. “I’m more fit today at 40 than I’ve ever been at any other time in my life,” she says.

Candace, the new spokesperson for StarKist, shares what she eats to look even better than the teenaged D.J. Tanner she played on the original Full House.

Getty Images

1. Eat mostly plants. Candace sees her diet as integral to maintaining her figure and her career. “When you’re hired to play a specific role and look a certain way, it’s something that you have to keep up with, especially being on a television series,” she says. Still, she doesn’t follow a specific diet. She eats mostly vegan, but also eats eggs and, occasionally, fish.

2. Stay away from dairy, refined sugars, and white flours. Candace doesn’t suffer from food allergies, and she isn’t trying to lose weight. While she’s not a dietitian, she has her reasons for keeping these ingredients out of her diet: “They’re just not good for you, that’s why,” she says.

3. Eat carbs before you work out and eat protein after. On most days, Candace works out anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour on her own, but on rare occasions, like when she reunites with her longtime New York-based trainer, Kira Stokes, she’ll go at it for up to 2 1/2 hours. (Now that Candace is no longer hosting The View in New York City and spends most of her time in Los Angeles, this doesn’t happen super often.)

To keep her energy up during workouts, which might involve doing Kira’s online videos, using FaceTime to carry out a virtual training session, or performing dynamic, strength-training moves she picked up working out with Kira IRL, Candace eats grains or another source of carbs before she starts sweating. Afterward, she’ll reach for a protein-packed snack or meal to help her muscles recover.

4. Be boring. “I’ve always enjoyed food and used to get bored eating the same foods,” Candace says. But now that she’s older, has tried eating different foods, and is in tune with how her body reacts to them, she isn’t as interested in variety. “I have the things I know I like to eat, and I just kind of stay within those recipes,” she says. On most days, that means she’ll have a protein shake for breakfast and stick to tried-and-true restaurants, where she looks for familiar meals like quinoa with kale, beets, carrots, tofu, or tuna fish.

5. Stop eating before you’re stuffed — particularly when eating at restaurants. “If you listen to your stomach and just eat until you’re satisfied, not full, you can always take the rest of your food to go,” says Candace, who might dip into her leftovers hours later when actual hunger strikes again.

6. Find a partner who eats just as healthfully as you do. Candace says she and her husband eat very similar diets. While vastly different palates won’t make or break a strong relationship, it’s much easier to make healthy food choices when your partner prefers to eat healthy too — particularly when kids with different tastes come into play. “We’ll cook what we want to eat, and then we’ll make something different for the kids,” Candace explains.

7. Plate your home-cooked meals instead of feasting family style. Candace sees family meals as super important, so all five members of the Bure family dine together often. When dinner is served, it’s on individual plates, not platters, which takes the guesswork out of portion control — a good thing considering that the biggest difference between the way Candace and her husband eat comes down to serving sizes. (He eats more.)

8. Follow the rules 80 percent of the time. Rules: They’re meant to be broken up to 20 percent of the time, at least for Candace. “I don’t eat dairy on a regular basis, but a lot of baked goods contain butter or milk,” she notes. “To say I never have dessert would be a complete lie.”

And while Candace might not order a bacon cheeseburger off a restaurant menu, she’s more than happy to deviate from her diet rules when she’s a dinner party guest. “I would never turn anything down that someone’s cooked,” she says of meals she eats at others’ homes on special occasions. After all, there’s no better time to deviate from plan A than when homemade dessert is on the table.

Staying healthy and fit is hard work, but Candace Cameron Bure maintains her toned physique with a mix of diet, exercise and smart decisions. The Fuller House star, 42, talked to Us Weekly about what it takes to stay healthy, and even shared a recipe that helps keep her in tip-top shape.

“It’s really a choice that you have to make if your health is important to you. I feel like this is simple information, but you have to be prepared. I think that’s the number one tip,” Cameron Bure said of eating healthfully. “You don’t ever want to be caught being hungry and in a situation where you’re going to reach for that bad choice or go through that drive-thru and them be tempted to make an unhealthy choice. If you want to eat healthier foods, there are wonderful things out there that can help you, along with fresh vegetables and fresh fruits.”

In addition to fresh fruits and veggies, Cameron Bure, who has been a spokesperson for StarKist for more than a year, also relies on the company’s line of fish and now chicken pouches.

“If you want the convenience and you want it easy, and you can have it with you, something like the StarKist pouches are wonderful for that because you can keep it in your purse and then when you get hungry you’re not like, ‘Oh man, I’m just going to go through the drive-thru because I don’t have anything with me,’” she explains.

Chicken salad cucumber boats Courtesy of Starkist

Aside from being good on-the-go, StarKist pouches can also be used to whip up easy meals or snacks at home, such as the chicken salad cucumber boat recipe below. “All of the chicken creations are wonderful right out of the pouch, which is how I eat them the majority of the time, but if I want a little extra crunch it’s fun to put it inside of a cucumber,” the former cohost of The View tells Us. “You can just scoop some of the meat of the cucumber out and put the chicken in there, or you can do it on celery also because that’s really firm. It’s just another texture that you can add to your food and get some vegetables in there.”

For Cameron Bure, this veggie-packed dish fits perfectly with her lifestyle. “That’s the majority of my diet,” she says. “The way I eat is I’m very vegetable-heavy, and so that’s just another way I get to eat my veggies and get my protein.”

Check out the full recipe below!

Candace Cameron Bure doesn’t let body-shamers get away with nasty remarks.

The “Fuller House” star, 42, shut down an internet troll who left a rude comment about her weight next to an Instagram photo of herself and her 18-year-old son, Lev.

“All that excercising (sic) and you still look like you weigh more than your husband, did you change your diet?” the commenter wrote, apparently mistaking Lev for his father, retired hockey pro Valeri Bure, 43.

The actress shot back, “If a 25 inch waist looks big to you … then you’re looking through an altered lens,” before adding, “Be well.”

Stuff We Love

Get a daily roundup of items that will make your life easier, healthier and more stylish.

The initial comment is all the more offensive considering that Bure has opened up about her past struggles with bulimia.

In May 2016, while participating in an Eating Recovery Day panel in New York City, the actress revealed she was once stuck in a years-long cycle of bingeing and purging. As a newlywed with her first child on the way, she’d relocated in Montreal to be with her husband. But the athlete often traveled during the hockey season. Feeling lonely and isolated, she sought comfort in food.

“The change of having worked since I was 5 years old to now becoming a wife and soon-to-be mom, and living in a city where I didn’t have family and friends around me, I kind of lost the sense of who I was,” she revealed.

Bure said it took several attempts — and a few years — for her to gain control of her eating habits again, and credited her faith for giving her the strength to recover.

“It was never about the weight for me,” she said. “It was an emotional issue.”

These days, the mom of three — daughter, Natasha is 19, and youngest son, Maksim, is 16 — eats and exercises with health in mind, often sharing workout photos and tips with fans.

She also says she’s feeling better than ever.

“I feel the most fit and strong that I’ve ever felt in my life,” she told People last year. “What keeps me on track is that I want to feel good and have a long life with my husband and kids.”

Candace Cameron Bure is in the best shape of her life after overcoming bulimia and maintaining her 22-pound weight loss for six years.

Candace said the years she spent battling her eating disorder were a nightmare.

“It’s like being on a runaway train and you wanna get off but you don’t know how to,” Bure told ET (see video).

Candace, now a co-host of The View, said her bulimia went into overdrive when she was a stay-at-home mom to her three children.

“I kind of lost my identity and I turned to food for comfort when my husband was traveling and when I was alone,” said Cameron Bure. “I had a very unhealthy relationship with food that turned into bulimia.”

In 2010, Candace lost 22 pounds, and has maintained her weight loss with a portion-controlled diet and regular workouts that include weightlifting, cardio exercise, yoga and Pilates, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

While Cameron Bure is healthy now, she abused diet pills as a teen and began battling bulimia. Candace recounted her bulimia struggles in her 2011 memoir, Reshaping It All:

“When I was 16, I filmed an episode of ‘Full House’ where my family goes to Disney World. I remember putting on baggy overalls just to hide my stomach. When I watched it, I was pretty disappointed and bummed out looking at myself. I didn’t feel good about my own body.”

After struggling with bulimia and diet pill addiction, Candace Cameron Bure is now fitter and healthier than ever. (Photo: Instagram, Celebrity Health Fitness)

Cameron Bure’s bulimia flared up again in her late 20s, when she had a hard time adjusting to being a housewife after “Full House” ended in 1995 and she was living in Canada with her husband, Russian-born hockey player Valeri Bure.

“ wasn’t about me trying to lose weight,” said Bure. “It was all about emotions.”

These days Candace works out for an hour four to five days a week, and emphasizes weightlifting as much as cardio exercise, as Celebrity Health Fitness has reported.

“I lift heavy weights for about 25 minutes with 35 minutes of cardio on the treadmill or elliptical,” said Cameron Bure.

“Lifting weights has changed my body tremendously and I’d never go without it again. The combo of both is everything.”

5 Secrets of How Candace Cameron Bure Stays Fit at 40

Candace Cameron Bure, co-host of The View and star of the Netflix series Fuller House looks ah-mazing—and she’s the first to admit that it’s the result of a ton of hard work. Bure adheres to a strict diet and consistent workout schedule to stay lean and trim. But don’t let the word “strict” intimidate you. While it does take some planning, her daily routine is totally doable! Here, five easy ways to cut calories and keep weight gain at bay à la Candace—pair one or two of her hacks with a few of these 50 Best Weight Loss Tips and you’re bound to get the body you’ve always wanted in record time!

She Drinks Protein Shakes

Sometimes she kicks off her day with one, while other times she enjoys one as a post-workout treat. But no matter when she decides to sip, Cameron whips up a protein-packed shake at least once a day. Her go-to recipe? Protein powder with half a banana and some almond milk. Not only does the combination keep her full and satisfied, the sweetness helps ward off cravings for sugary, diet-derailing snacks. Whether you’re looking for a recipe that’s similar to the actress’s go-to shake or just in search of some blender inspiration, check out these amazing protein shake recipes!

She Orders Smart

When Cameron’s filming The View she gets to order lunch from anywhere she wants. (Sweet deal!) But she almost always orders the same thing: a salad! She’s not chowing down on a bed of soggy greens, either. Although she likes to keep things interesting by ordering different salads each day, she does have a favorite. It’s from the East coast-based juice shop, Juice Press, and it’s packed with a delicious mix of kale, edamame, quinoa, and veggies.

She Eats a Plant-Based Diet

As you can tell from her salad choice, this star prefers to receive her protein from plant-based foods. She occasionally eats fish or eggs, but relies heavily on nuts, seeds, beans, and ancient grains like quinoa to keep her muscles strong and healthy. If she’s pressed for time or lacking the motivation to cook, she’ll head to Whole Foods and pick up a bowl of lentil soup. Interested in adding some Candace-approved meals to your weekly lineup? She Plans Ahead—Even When She’s Traveling

As a famous actress, Candace is always on the move, which makes eating a healthy diet all the more challenging. But Candace plans her meals ahead of time so she doesn’t fall off track with her routine. For example, before embarking on a six-hour flight from Hawaii, she kicked off her day with a homemade protein shake and then chowed down on an ahi tuna poke bowl for lunch so she wouldn’t need to eat plane food. To keep rumbles at bay during her fight she sipped a lot of water and noshed on raw nuts and a banana.

She Makes Fitness Fun

Candace keeps belly fat at bay by working out for at least one hour, five days per week. When she travels to NYC, she works out with her fave fitness instructor, who marries resistance training with cardiovascular conditioning to form a killer workout. She also likes to hit local hiking trails to break a sweat while taking in killer views. Follow Candace’s lead and track down an active hobby (like swimming, biking, or hiking) or a fitness class at your local gym that challenges you and keeps you coming back for more.

Candace Cameron Bure insists her juice cleanse was not for weight loss.

Candace Cameron Bure was slammed after announcing a five-day juice cleanse, but insisted she didn’t do it to lose weight.

The fan backlash started July 14, after Bure announced her juice cleanse on Facebook. Candace said she had planned to drink two Paleta juice-cleanse protein shakes and a light all-vegetable dinner.

Fans immediately attacked Bure for promoting an unhealthy diet and trying to lose weight when she’s already thin. One fan even called her a “sellout” and accused Bure of promoting the Paleta juice cleanse for money (which is highly likely, but something most celebrities do).

Candace replied to the criticism by saying she wanted to do the juice fast to detoxify her body after going off her usual healthy diet during summer vacation.

“I’m excited to start my five-day cleanse not to lose weight, but to get my body back on track, ridding all the toxins and unhealthy stuff I’ve put in it the last few months,” wrote Candace.

Candace’s decision to go on a juice fast was especially disturbing to some fans, given her past as a recovering bulimic. Bure, who at 38 looks years younger, is in the best shape of her life now after overcoming the eating disorders anorexia and bulimia during her teens and early twenties.

Battled Anorexia and Bulimia for Years

Candace suffered from poor body image and the eating disorders anorexia and bulimia for years. In 2010, the former child star lost 22 pounds, slimming down to 110 pounds through portion control and regular exercise, as Celebrity Health & Fitness has reported.

Bure has maintained her weight loss since then by eating well and working out regularly. While the mom of three is healthy now, she began dieting obsessively as a teen, suffered from the eating disorder bulimia, and experimented with diet pills.

Candace detailed her bulimia and body-image struggles in her 2011 memoir, Reshaping It All:

“When I was 16, I filmed an episode of ‘Full House’ where my family goes to Disney World,” she wrote. “I remember putting on baggy overalls just to hide my stomach. When I watched it, I was pretty disappointed and bummed out looking at myself. I didn’t feel good about my own body.”

At her heaviest, the 5-foot-2 Candace weighed 132 pounds (not fat by any means, but she wanted to slim down even more). Cameron Bure said she had a hard time adjusting to being a housewife and mom of three after “Full House” ended in 1995 and she began living in Canada with her husband, Russian-born NHL player Valeri Bure.

These days, Candace typically works out four to five days a week for an hour, combining cardio exercise and weightlifting and follows a balanced, portion-controlled diet.

Candace, a devout Christian, revealed her weight loss secrets and how she juggles motherhood, marriage, and career in her book, Balancing It All.
