Demi Lovato Hack: Alleged Nudes Posted to Singer’s Snapchat

The singer Demi Lovato may have been hacked, with alleged nude photos of her reportedly appearing on her own Snapchat account.

On Thursday evening, what appeared to be a series of nude photos of the singer (but could of course be cleverly edited fakes) were posted on her Snapchat account with a link to a Discord chat room.

“Join this discord server for my nudes,” read the initial message on Lovato’s Snapchat.

The message offered a swipe-up link to “The Chuckling Squad” account, asking fans to sign up to their Discord server to see more images.

The pictures, genuine or not, were swiftly removed from Lovato’s Snapchat, however inevitably versions of the images are now circulating online, and the hack is being reported by numerous mainstream media outlets including the Daily Mail and Metro in the U.K..

One post uploaded to Lovato’s SnapStory showed a completely nude brunette, who bears more than a passing resemblance to Lovato, standing in front of a closet and posing for a mirror selfie.

Another picture shows a topless woman with a strong resemblance to the singer pouting for the camera.

Text promised more photos and videos for anyone who followed the Discord link.

Lovato’s fans were quick to express their concern about the impact the pictures could have on Lovato’s mental wellbeing.

Lovato has struggled with addiction issues for some time and had a near-death experience due to an overdose in 2018.

On Wednesday, Lovato attended the Beverly Hills funeral of a friend, Thomas Trussell III, who died of an overdose.

She posted an image of a new tattoos she had done in his memory and a message of encouragement for people struggling with substance issues.

Demi Lovato has been targeted in a Snapchat hack, resulting in nude photos— alleged to be of the singer—leaking online.

Fans on social media noticed an odd message on Lovato’s Snapchat account on Thursday evening reading: “Join this discord server for my nudes.” Discord is a social networking app used predominantly by gamers.

What is this?!???? #DemiLovato

The Blast reports that nude photographs purported to be of Lovato were posted on the Snapchat account.

Fans on Twitter rallied around the singer Friday morning after several nude images—allegedly of Lovato—circulated on social media.

The “Sorry Not Sorry” singer’s fans, known as “Lovatics,” showed support for the star, pointing to her difficult year. Last year, Lovato was rushed to hospital following a suspected drug overdose.

“respect demi lovato … no one deserves to have their private pictures leaked and i don’t care if you don’t like her, this behavior is DISGUSTING so do NOT tweet and share. thank you,” tweeted one fan.

“demi nearly died of an overdose just a year ago and has been mocked and brought down by the gp since. now her nudes leaked and y’all are laughing and sharing. ik she’s said stupid stuff in the past but give the girl a break…” said another fan of Lovato.

In July 2018, Lovato was taken to hospital for a suspected overdose. In August that year, she said in an Instagram post: “I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I’ve learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet.”

Lovato went on to thank her fans and God, adding: “Your positive thoughts and prayers have helped me navigate through this difficult time. I want to thank my family, my team, and the staff at Cedars-Sinai who have been by my side this entire time. Without them I wouldn’t be here writing this letter to all of you.”

In December, Lovato addressed rumors about her recovery on Twitter, writing: “Someday I’ll tell the world what exactly happened, why it happened and what my life is like today.. but until I’m ready to share that with people please stop prying and making up shit that you know nothing about. I still need space and time to heal..”

Lovato has slowly returned to the spotlight in 2019, signing Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande’s manager Scooter Braun as her new representative.

Lovato will appear in the upcoming final season of Will & Grace and has a role in Netflix’s Eurovision movie.

Lovato’s publicist did not return a request for comment.

Demi Lovato’s Snapchat hacked, alleged nude photos leaked online

Demi Lovato appears to have been the victim of a cyber-hacking, with alleged nude photos being published on her Snapchat account.

On Thursday night, the photos — which aren’t confirmed to be legitimate — linked to a Discord chat room, according to the Daily Beast.

“Join this discord server for my nudes,” read the message on 27-year-old Lovato’s Snapchat, according to the Daily Beast.

The link offered followers a chance to see more images.

The photos have since been removed from her account. A spokesperson for Discord told us, “We have a zero-tolerance approach to illegal activity on our platform and take immediate action when we become aware of it. We moved quickly yesterday to disable the link and stop access to the server as soon as we became aware of it.”

The alleged hackers, known as the “Chuckling Squad,” have been connected to hacks on Jack Dorsey and Chloë Grace Moretz’s accounts.

Although Lovato doesn’t have a Twitter account, her Lovatics took to the social medium to express their concern for the “Sober” singer and her mental health in light of the apparent hack.

“respect demi lovato

no one deserves to have their private pictures leaked and i don’t care if you don’t like her, this behavior is DISGUSTING so do NOT tweet and share. thank you,” the official account for her New York fans tweeted.

Reps for Lovato and Snapchat didn’t immediately return Page Six’s request for comment.

Demi Lovato issues apology amid backlash for taking trip to Israel

Demi Lovato is telling fans her trip to Israel was not meant to be a political statement She’s received criticism for the trip many fans viewed as support for Israel amid the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Demi Lovato’s Snapchat was targeted by hackers who released intimate, nude photos allegedly of the singer on her own account.

According to The Blast, Lovato’s account on the popular photo-sharing app was targeted by hackers who previously took credit for a similar nude photo leak of actress Chloe Grace Moretz and hacked Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account to post profanity.

The outlet reported that Lovato’s team was quick to take action and remove the nudes, which the hackers advertised on her Snapchat account and directed users to swipe up and join a private Discord group to see more.

Reps for Lovato did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

As The Daily Beast notes, it’s unclear from the images if they’re truly the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer or just clever fakes.

The outlet reports one image uploaded to the star’s SnapStory showed a completely nude brunette standing in front of a closet and posing in front of a mirror. Another picture showed a topless woman pouting for the camera.

Lovato’s fans were quick to take to social media to defend the star, who has battled addiction and recently attended the funeral of a close friend, amid the hack.

“Yall scream mental health awareness, women rights, addiction awareness, me too, etc etc but when it comes to Demi Lovato it somehow doesn’t apply anymore…yall preach when tragedy happens bit keep on trying to break someone who has been broken so many times before. Hypocrites,” one upset user wrote on Twitter.

“Demi Lovato nearly died a year ago, lost one of her close friends only a few days ago due to addiction struggles and now someone feels the need to hack her snapchat and leak pictures. The world makes me feel physically sick,” another shared.

“Overdose, suicide, mental health, privacy infringement ect. These are not somethings that you can just make fun of it and then act like nothing happened. Learn how to be a human. #DemiLovato,” a third user noted.

Demi Lovato’s nude photos leak after her Snapchat is hacked

Demi Lovato’s Snapchat account was apparently hacked Thursday afternoon, and nude photos of the singer were leaked to the public.

Fans first noticed a strange SnapStory with a swipe-up link that teased, “Join this discord server for my nudes.”

That was followed by several naked images — presumed to be of Lovato — that were posted to the account and remained live for less than an hour, according to the Inquisitr. The hacker teased to the existence of a sex tape, with access given to those who signed up.

“We have a zero-tolerance approach to illegal activity on our platform and take immediate action when we become aware of it,” Discord said in a statement Friday. “We moved quickly yesterday to disable the link and stop access to the server as soon as we became aware of it.”

Of course, in internet time, an hour might as well be eternity, and as of Friday screengrabs of the photos were still popping up randomly on social media. While some made fun of the situation, Lovato’s loyal and very protective fan base was immediately incensed and sent supportive messages on social media.

Demi’s Snapchat got hacked. @Discordapp, please remove this server as they are from a hacker tricking people into joining their server for Demi Lovato’s nudes. #DemiLovato.

— aidan ♡🍃 (@aiidaannn) October 17, 2019

“Disrespecting someone is one thing but disrespecting a woman’s body is another thing and completely violating and disgusting. When will the world stop breaking demi down and just support her? #DemiLovato,” one wrote on Twitter.

“Why would a ‘person’ leak someone’s privacy? or why would even do leaking ? #DemiLovato,” another tweeted. “Some things are supposed to be kept special, private, hidden, secret. Be human and respect! You do not have to love anybody. But you have to respect!! If you live in this world you have to!”

Fans also flooded the #DemiLovato hashtag with fully clothed glamour shots of the singer-actress, who starred in “Sonny With a Chance” and “Camp Rock.”

Showing how far she’s come, the 27-year-old had recently posted photos of herself in a bikini on Instagram, saying in one caption, “This is my biggest fear. A photo of me in a bikini unedited.”

Lovato’s body image is of particular concern to her fans because of the meltdown she had in late 2010, when she left the Jonas Brothers tour on short notice and went into months of rehab for treatment of depression, eating disorders, cutting and drug and alcohol abuse. She has struggled with sobriety and was treated for a drug overdose in July 2018, after which she did an additional 60 days in rehab.

The group involved in Thursday’s hack claimed responsibility for taking over Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey’s account in August, according to the Blast.

A rep for Lovato did not reply immediately to a request for comment Friday.

So it’s 2019, we’re all officially adults now. Well, maybe not everybody, but whatever, we can all agree that when it comes to looking at the fairer sex, all men can do a lot better than gawking at the usual nudie sites and skin flicks that make up most of the internet. And I don’t literally mean MOST of the internet, but a pretty fair whack of it. Rudimentary research says that four percent of the interwebs is pornographic material, but well over ten percent of searches on major search engines are for naughty pics and flicks. When you think about how big the WWW is, even a fraction of a percentage point is massive, so porn is still a HUGE business however you look at it. It’s one of the biggest entertainment businesses not only on the internet, but on earth. But all of this begs the question, where can a man go to find tasteful nudes these days?

The problem with porn is that it’s conceited, false, and often puerile. Like it or not, there come’s a time in a man’s life, no matter what his colour, creed or sexuality, where he must appreciate the female figure for all its beauty and glory without the need for diminishing reality, false scenarios or one-sided, ersatz storylines ‘Um, yeah, I’m here to clean your pool?’ C’mon son…

The celebration of fantastic girls goes far deeper than a dodgy hotel room and we’re here to take the moral high ground and show you how. This is the definitive collection of our 15 favourite high quality nude websites that eschew tack and tawdry crassness in favour of tasteful snaps of beautiful women who deserve a day in the sun to show us what their mamma gave them without compromising artistic merit and class. It’s a conglomeration of the most stylish nudes from around the internet.

Presenting Man of Many’s 15 best websites for tasteful nudes. Please, gents (and ladies), enjoy.

1. C-heads Magazine

It’s a little bit artsy meets a little bit quirky with a sprinkling of flesh. C-heads is the modern sensitive thinking man’s place to ogle at classy nude photos of the fairer sex; for the kind of guy who looks at a girl and says to himself ‘I’d take her for a lentil burger and WhatsApp her the very next day’. It’s not all skin pics and the models’ interviews are actually pretty well pitched. No really, I only read it for the articles. Seriously! I do!

2. Treats! Magazine

The name says it all really, doesn’t it. Treats does what it promises to do on the label; classy, artistic, stylish nude photoshoots of some of the most beautiful women around. The shoots are well put together and some of the interviews aren’t that bad either, if you can peel your eyes away from the photos and concentrate on reading for a few minutes, but I doubt that. Best not leave this one open on the desktop, it’s probably one of the least SFW on our list. It’s a good site under the category of where to find the best nudes, but best kept from your co-workers or boss.

3. Backyard Opera

Not just hot pics of girls with their kit off posing salaciously, BYO has a raft of other cool shit to read about as well as fun interviews and lots of interesting model shoots. That said, some of those model shoots are sexy AF and will give you enough to drool over without having to worry about anybody finding this site in your browser history.

4. It’s Now Cool

Hot chicks, beaches bikinis. It’s a winning formula that in our eyes has always been cool. Some of the best outdoor photography on the web, different beaches and an array of different models – there’s something for everyone to enjoy here. There’s also a selection of well-written, on-point articles for you to briefly consider perusing before clicking back to the shots of scantily clad girls frolicking in the sand. It’s the intersection of tasteful nude women and poignant content.

5. Life Without Andy

Already a favourite in the Man of Many office, LWA is a Sydney-based site dedicated to top-qual photography with a few snippets of interview / article goodness along the way. It’s not your typical nude women site. The shoots are well conceived and feature some of the cutest girls on the web, in fun and left-of-centre settings. It’s out-there enough that you can call it art and probably get away with having it in your bookmarks toolbar.

6. Sticks and Stones Mothership

This one turns things up to 11 on the risqué-o-meter, and we’re totally fine with that. Seriously sexy high-quality nude photoshoots that still hold their own as being artistic, without leaving too much to the imagination. It’s great that people are making, ahem, ‘art’ of this nature and not becoming tacky in the process. Still, clear your history and burn your monitor before the missus catches you and you’re forced to explain how much you’ve been getting into the nuances of artistic photography lately.

7. Cake

Another one that teeters between showing flesh and keeping it PG, but that’s not such a bad thing. Cute girls with lots of scope and the shoots have a flair for colour and playfulness. The site also showcases some cool streetwear and kooky style and there are some great, tasteful shots that don’t even have girls in them (I know right?!) that stand up on their own merit.

Year Founded: 2010

8. Arsenic

If you’re going to follow just one Instagram account to get all google-eyed over then it’s going to be Arsenic. Huge range of babes updated daily (or even more), all the best shots and there’s something for everyone. Also a great way to stay on top (heh) of all the latest Insta-models who launch their careers through social media, one side-boob shot at a time. If you thought the best search engine for classy nudes was Google, you may want to try searching on Instagram.

9. RektMag

Beauty, style, grace, class and tits. From the girl next door to high-street lingerie (removal), this site is tasteful nudes done right. The quality of the photos is phenomenal and the settings span from outdoors by the beach to the pokiest of NY-style lofts, all without losing focus on the capturing of well-planned and stylised shots of beautiful women. For interesting nude pics, stylistically, RektMag will keep you scintillated and entertained.

10. Filthy Mouth

Filthy Mouth proves that sexy doesn’t necessarily have to be naked (though it does help). Themed photoshoots of attractive women in various suggestive poses? Tick. Oh you wanted another tick? Seriously? What more do you want man? This is the site for when you’ve had enough of boobs and tacky soft-core borderline porn shit and feel like having some fun. Heaven knows these models are having loads of it.

11. Hangover Magazine

In a similar vein as Sticks and Stones and Treats!, Hangover Magazine probably won’t come up if you’ve got safe browser mode enabled, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Scores of beautiful women in clever, subversive shoots that almost mock the institution of traditional nude photography and play with new ideas. These are great nudes that are 100% tasteful. There’s also a bunch of sick tunes on the site to keep your ears as sated as your eyes. De-bloody-lish.

12. Implied

Implied is more than just a magazine, it’s an online community devoted to the advancement of beautiful, artistic female photography and the ‘implied’ nudity that goes with it. Their trendy nude shots are from all over the world and are well curated, and their mission is pretty clear: this is not porn, it’s art. Definitely worth checking out if you are interested in what work actually gets put into these sorts of photoshoots and stories, and the people behind it all.

13. Nakid Online

With loads of fresh artistic shoots from an array of talented photographers and stunning models, Nakid Online pushes boundaries and features some of the best stylish nudes on the web. Pulling high quality content from a variety of sources keeps things interesting and NSFW warnings are used (quite liberally, we might add) in the headlines so you browse with some degree of peace-of-mind that whoever’s sitting behind you won’t cop an eyeful, though we’d keep it out of the office.

14. We Are The People

Probably the sexiest Tumblr account on the web, We Are The People is a collection of photos, mostly nude, some not, that’ll have you quitting your day job and becoming a professional photographer before you can say ‘35 millimetre lens’. Stunning, naturally alluring women in relaxed, comfortable surroundings makes for the best, most tasteful photography going around and this is one site that have managed to nail it. Tumblr is another social media-type website where you will find several high-quality nude options.

We Are The People

15. Yume

Pronounced ‘yuh-MEH’, ‘Yume’ is the Japanese word for ‘dream’, and frankly, we don’t think it could be any more appropriate a handle for this website of Earthly delights. Started a few years back by two Geelong guys who wanted to celebrate the artistic side of photography, as well as giving up-and-coming models and photographers a platform for their work, it’s now grown into one of our favourite websites where you can find tasteful nude snaps, as well as a quality bi-annual print publication which is ad-free, for your browsing pleasure.

10 Outstanding Artistic Nude Photographs

Note: Contains nudity.

When it comes to studying nude photography, there definitely seems to be a preference for shooting in black and white over colour. It is perhaps because the former allows the artists to better engage with the great contrasts and beauty of the human body. It isn’t a monopoly though, and there are some wonderful artists who explore nudity in colour, as you shall see in this article.

From giants of 20th century art right through to very modern photographers, the artists curated here all bring something exciting to the medium.

Top: The limits of pain explored by photographer Ekaterina Zakharova.

Black and White; Male and Female, together they form a beautiful fusion.

The Balance of Power Between…

In this image the photographer Philbert offers us a vision of the two sexes in perfect harmony, two sides of the same coin, where each individual draws strength and power from the other to create a joyous whole. The contrast achieved in terms of black and white is breathtaking, as are the positions that his models manage to strike and hold.

The male form is placed within the confines of a geometric landscape.

The Ukrainian photographer Natalia Mukha favours graphic explorations of nudes, often going in for some shocking and powerful imagery. The above piece is more subdued then her usual output, but still packs a subtle punch. She ingeniously manipulates the shape of the naked male model to mirror the landscape surrounding him.

Helmut Newton plays with the concept of the voyeur in this stunning black and white photograph.

Sleepless Nights. Big Nudes.

When it comes to photographers capturing and idolising strong women, no one did it better and with more beauty then Helmut Newton. He was unafraid to shoot naked women full-on, hiding nothing behind strategic lighting or mise-en-scene. Newton’s women are fearless. You can see it in this image, that artfully deploys mirrors in order to show every part of the model’s body. It featured in his recent exhibition and photography book “White Women • Sleepless Nights • Big Nudes.”

The quiet and pastoral style of nude photography by Sally Mann, which favours beauty over exposure.

Family Pictures

Sally Mann has been a controversial figure in contemporary photography circles for many years. Her natural and softly lit shots of nude girls and boys rub some people up the wrong way, claiming they are sexualising children. This view point is completely misguided though, for her photography is earthy and completely ordinary, presenting young people as they are when in the freedom of nature. Part of her “Family Pictures (1984-1991)” series, the above image exemplifies her approach to nudity.

An athletic figure is captured in flight by Olivier Valsecchi.

Time of War VIII

In his “Time of War” series, photographer Olivier Valsecchi conducts and contorts his models into marvellous shapes and positions. Sent up with clouds of dust, the nude dancers that he shoots present us with a vision of the pinnacle of the human body. Just like sculptures in Ancient Greece and Rome, Valsecchi is showcasing the potential beauty and perfection of the athletic human form, though in a more exaggerated style here.

Spencer Tunick and his surreal, mystical vision of nudity, cloaked in majesty and natural light.

Desert Spirits

In the art world, the name Spencer Tunick conjures up one specific image in the mind: large-scale shots of naked people, often involving hundreds of participants. Whether it’s on a rocky beach, outside the Sydney Opera House, or in the case of “Desert Spirits” (2013) in the desert, Tunick always finds new and visually arresting ways to photograph the same scenario in different guises.

French photographer Lucien Clergue coats his models in stripes of light.

Nude Zebra

Over a number of years Lucien Clergue has shot numerous images as part of his “Nu Zebres” series. In terms of composition and style they are very similar: they all paint striking black and white lines across a nude model’s body, aided by creative lighting techniques. They are beautifully artistic and quietly erotic.

In Zakharova’s photography she pushes the nude body to extremes.

Well this could make a very interesting birthday cake for some young lady or gent. Either way it’s not likely to be much fun for the model whose body is slowly being set alight in Ekaterina Zakharova’s provocative untitled image. Zakharova’s photography explores the limits of the naked human body and the extent to which it can endure terrible pain.

Like something out of an Jean Cocteau theme party, the work of Joel-Peter Witkin.

Portrait as a Vanité

The artist Joel-Peter Witkin is famous for his dark photography, choosing as his favourite themes and subjects death, corpses, dwarves, transsexuals and people with deformities. In this regard he can be viewed as a modern day Diane Arbus: Their twin obsession of photographing the seamy underbelly of society in crisp black and white images. “Portrait as a Vanite,” brings all these elements together in a beautiful nude study of a one-armed man. It is also reminiscent of Marcel Duchamp’s alter ego Rrose Selavy.

Joel Bloch presents us with a dark and passive vision of the female body.

Dark II

The above image by French photographer Joel Bloch forms part of his “This Obscure Object of Desire” series. As light falls in shadowy pools onto the elongated body of his female body, the viewer is invited to gaze and study the human form from this more unconventional angle.

It was half past midnight when Demi Lovato announced that it was time to take her clothes off. In the streets below her Manhattan hotel room, the crowd of dedicated fans waiting for a glimpse of the singer/songwriter/actress/pop star couldn’t possibly imagine what was about to transpire behind closed doors. Quite frankly, neither could I.

That morning I’d stepped off a plane from Los Angeles to shadow 34-year-old Phil McIntyre, C.E.O. of music talent-management firm Philymack, who has launched the careers of several major pop stars, including Nick Jonas and Lovato, whose new album, Confident, is set to be released on October 16. After shuttling from meeting to meeting, we ended up at the Greenwich Hotel to meet with the Philymack team.

The topic at hand was Lovato, whose great-grandfather Buddy Moore had died the day before. Lovato considered him one of the most important people in her life, and McIntyre and his team were concerned. At midnight, an emotionally drained Lovato arrived sans makeup, hair pulled back, carrying her Yorkiepoo, Batman. I had photographed Lovato once before, so she smiled and said hello, then plopped down in a chair. Batman came over and jumped in my lap. She spoke about her sadness, and then she got an idea.

“If there’s one thing I’ve learned in the past day, it’s that life is too short,” she said. “I’m about to launch an album that finally represents who I truly am. How do I embrace this new chapter in my life? How do I really walk the walk? What does it mean to be confident? It means letting go, being authentic, saying I don’t give a fuck and this is who I am. I want to show the side of me that’s real, that’s liberated, that’s free. What if we do a photo shoot where it’s totally raw? Super-sexy, but no makeup, no fancy lighting, no retouching, and no clothing. Let’s do it here, let’s do it now.”

The room emptied, and I wondered how I’d fallen into this situation. With only her assistant remaining, Lovato and I worked in near silence, making our way through the hotel room, communicating with subtle gestures, nods, and tilts of the head. Lovato had rarely posed nude before, so I had to be respectful of that and tread lightly. When I left her at three in the morning, she gave me a quick hug and thanked me for making her feel pretty. I thanked her for her confidence.

Demi Lovato Just Posed for the Best Nude Photos Ever

Vanity Fair

Celebrities and photographers seem to be embracing “less is more” as photos sans clothing (à la Kim Kardashian) or sans photoshop (Julia Roberts for Givenchy, anyone?) have become common fixtures in glossy magazines and Instagram feeds. But combining no clothes, no makeup, and no retouching for one shoot? Well, that’s still pretty groundbreaking (not to mention brave!).

That’s exactly what Demi Lovato did this week when she posed for a spontaneous Vanity Fair photoshoot. The singer is already a big proponent of #NoMakeupMonday and one of our favorite #fitspirations for body positivity, but this shoot was prompted by something much more personal: the devastating loss of Lovato’s great-grandfather just the day before. As the VF photographer Patrick Ecclesine explained, the idea for the shoot was a product of her grief. (Lovato has also been vocal about coping with mental health issues.)

I want to show the side of me that’s real, that’s liberated, that’s free.”

“What if we do a photo shoot where it’s totally raw? Super sexy, but no makeup, no fancy lighting, no retouching, and no clothing. Let’s do it here, let’s do it now,” she told Ecclesine. In fact, the shoot was so here-and-now that Ecclesine and Lovato didn’t even start shooting until the wee hours of the night (from 12:30 to 3 a.m.) and used the hotel room the singer was already staying in.

And thus, these stunning and empowering photos came to be. A glimpse of the portraits, below.

  • By Kylie Gilbert @KylieMGilbert

— — Demi Lovato always exudes perfection — in her hair, makeup and costumes, but the pop star ditched the made-up look for a magazine shoot in which she appears nude.

In the Vanity Fair shoot last week, the-23-year-old’s face is bare of makeup. Images on the magazine’s website show her nude as she poses, both standing and sitting, on a bed and in a bathtub.

She wears a wet T-shirt in some poses, and the nude images expose her tattoos.

“The reason why I decided to do this photo shoot was because, when I when I think of confidence I think of many things, but one thing in particular was feeling comfortable in your own skin,” the “Heart Attack” singer said in a Vanity Fair video. “I thought there was something incredible about the idea of no makeup whatsoever, no clothes and no retouching.”

Lovato has gone without makeup before. She started the hashtag #NoMakeupMonday, and posts images of her makeup-free face weekly on Instagram.

The singer has struggled in the past with eating disorders. In an appearance on “Good Morning America” in 2011, she said she had been “bullied because was fat.”

In the Vanity Fair video, Lovato said she never thought she would ever be comfortable enough to do a nude photo shoot.

“It’s empowering and it shows other women that you can get to a place where you can overcome the obstacles of body image issues and you can feel comfortable and confident in your skin,” she said.

She added that she “basically went from hating every single inch” of her body to figuring out a way to love herself.

“I learned that you can get to place where you can love the skin you’re in and I’m excited to share that with the world,” she said.
