How to Get “The Body” like Elle Macpherson
Supermodel Elle Macpherson may be a Fashion Star on the new show she hosts and executive produces (premiering Tuesday, March 13 on NBC), but to us, she’ll always be a fitness star!
After all, the 6-foot-tall stunner is nicknamed “The Body” for a reason. With curves in all the right places and long, lean legs that seem to go on for miles, it’s safe to say the 5-time Sports Illustrated cover girl has one ah-may-zing bod.
But we admit. It’s easy to assume Macpherson’s famous physique is the result of hours upon hours of intense daily workouts and some serious calorie cutting. Well, here’s the good news-according to her superstar trainer James Duigan, that’s not the case!
“My approach doesn’t involve calorie-counting or spending hours in the gym. Rather, it’s creating a way of life,” Duigan says. “Exercise is there to make you feel better, but to be constantly exhausted and tired is not what it’s about.”
Duigan, who has trained the 47-year-old beautiful Aussie for the last 15 years, has designed a metabolic program that can be done in as little as 20 minutes. Knowing most of us have very busy lives, his program is devised of a series of resistance exercises to burn fat and calories, improve posture, and increase strength without having to put your body through unnecessary stress, or worse-burning out.
Combined with an organic, natural, and very simple approach to eating with lots of green veggies, fruits, and lean meats, “you’ll always feel empowered and good about yourself. You’ll never feel hungry and you’ll actually be having fun!” Duigan says.
“My motto is work smarter, not harder! Elle is one of the busiest people I know. We do what we can, when we can. Sometimes that will be 20 minutes a day, other times it will be an hour-long session. She’s not obsessive about it.”
For Macpherson, with two boys, a new show, and several other successful businesses to run, it’s clear she has a very organic approach to her health. The key, says Duigan, is all about balance… in a non-gimmicky, straightforward way.
“Take up some tennis, swimming, or surfing lessons,” he says. “Do something to add value to your life. You’re never going to look back and say, ‘if only I had more time on that treadmill in my basement.’ If you have a healthy relationship with food and exercise, the results you want will come.”

Movement Prep: 2-minutes
Disco Lunge: 15 reps on each side
Y’s, T’s, and Pushups: 10-20 reps each move
Tube Walking: 10-20 reps each way
Mountain Climbers: 10-30 seconds
That’s one set. With this workout, start with one or two sets, and then try to do it faster and add another set once you improve and get stronger.
“Any transformation that happens to your body, happens to your mind first,” Duigan says. “You need to commit to changing your life… then the change to your body will be forever.”

Elle Macpherson has long been known as ‘The Body’ thanks to her enviable physique and healthy glow. However rather than following a strict diet or fitness regime, Elle says she just follows a few simple rules to stay in shape, and isn’t as focused on her weight as she used to be.
“At 52, I now know that a healthy mind and body is a balance of nutrition, exercise, intuition, experience and love, I really believe that,” Elle told Your Fitness magazine. “I’m less concerned about the number on the scales or what dress size I wear now compared to when I was younger.”

She continued: “Today I believe beauty comes from the inside and I’ve definitely become more mindful in that sense – meditation has become a huge part of my day-to-day life.” The model also said that while she likes to maintain an active lifestyle, she prefers to exercise outdoors rather than going to the gym.

” ideal if I’m in a different country as I can explore the area while being active,” she said. “If I’m at home I love to walk the dog, run on the beach, go swimming, hike with the kids or cycle around the neighbourhood.”
Elle, who launched her own range of superfood supplements in 2015, also insisted that she doesn’t follow strict diets. “It’s really important for me to not be super strict – my life isn’t governed by rules, it is about balance. I don’t believe in extreme diets,” she explained. “I eat organic food where possible and eat a mostly plant-based diet – which means lots of leafy greens, salad, fruit and vegetables and clean hormone-free protein.”
The model doesn’t follow strict diets
The mum-of-two starts every day with a healthy breakfast, which she believes is particularly important. “I think it’s important to have something warm in the body as the first meal so for breakfast I’ll have some oatmeal or muesli with an apple compote or some berries warmed through.”
It is not the first time Elle has discussed her health and fitness routine; speaking to HELLO! in 2016, the blonde beauty shared her top advice for people trying to get into shape. “My advice is to find 45 minutes to move – even something simple; walk the dog; leave the car and walk to work,” she said. “I’m more likely to stay with it if it’s something I love and that fits into my life.”

If we were to name the women we wished we looked like, Elle MacPherson would undoubtedly top the list: Even at 51 years old, her superhuman beauty—and that body—rivals most models half her age. So it’s a given that we (and, probably, the rest of the female population) are dying to know what she’s doing that we’re not. We know genes are half the battle, but there’s got to be a few wellness tricks up the supermodel and health guru’s sleeve, right?
To find out, we chatted with Elle and uncovered the secrets that keep her looking so amazing. She explained why she doesn’t “work out” (though she does stay active), what she eats on a daily basis, and the benefits of her health supplement that’s been getting tons of buzz. Keep reading for some seriously inspirational health talk.
I start an average day by… Drinking 500 milliliters (about 16 ounces) of room temperature water every day upon waking up. This is followed by warm water and lemon to start the alkaline process. It’s so important to stay hydrated and I aim to have three liters of water a day (approximately 33 ounces). I meditate before anything for about 30 minutes.
The ingredients you’ll always find in my kitchen are… Good raw coconut water, butter (because I love it), reduced balsamic vinegar, and great olive oil. Water in glass bottles and raw chocolate are always there too.
For breakfast I had… Warm lemon water followed by sunflower seed toast with sliced avocado and fresh seasonal fruit—watermelon and figs. Yesterday, I had chia and coconut milk pudding. I think variety is key. I follow breakfast by taking two teaspoons of Super Elixir in coconut water in my water bottle with me as I head out the door.
For lunch I had… A vegetarian kale salad with some of my favorite ingredients—avocado, beets, sunflower seeds, goat cheese, and quinoa.
For dinner I had… Fresh fish and vegetables.
Today I snacked on… A delicious shake made with our new Super Elixir Nourishing Protein. It’s a super-clean, pea and sprouted brown rice protein powder that is Peruvian chocolate flavor. I take it with vanilla almond milk and ice in a blender, and it’s a great partner that works together with the Super Elixir as it’s an all-plant protein that is also alkalizing.
The one thing I would never eat is… Never say never! But I do focus on an alkaline way of eating which includes lots of fruit, vegetables, and plant food and less red meat and dairy.
My favorite workout is… I don’t work out, really—instead I just try to be active for one hour a day. I really believe that when you combine the fun with the physical benefits it doubles the impact, so I waterski, ski, windsurf, paddleboard, swim, or I go for a hike.
My guilty pleasure food is… I have pleasure, but no guilt! I love dark chocolate, merengue, and anything coconut, and also Starbucks with my kids, which I do very rarely. I eat most things I love—in moderation. I’ve learned what doesn’t work for me, it’s all about being aware.
The next big health and fitness trend will be… I believe people are really starting to focus on inner body wellness—beauty from the inside out, eating in cleaner, more nourishing ways, and being knowledgeable about what they put into their bodies and how this effects the way they feel and look.
My favorite healthy restaurant is… I always make a trip to Daylesford Organic whenever I’m in the U.K. for “real food” that’s fresh, organic, sustainable and locally sourced.
My favorite healthy snack is… I love soaked raw almonds in spring water and always keep some around the house to snack on, and my new nourishing super protein shake.
Some of the fitness blogs I love include… The Chalkboard Magazine, Bonberi, and Mind Body Green. All are run by smart, health-conscious women who look at wellness from physical and mental perspectives.
I’m obsessed with following… @superelixir for great tips on leading a balances, alkaline lifestyle. Also, @outerknown is Kelly Slater’s new sustainable fashion brand focusing on sustainability, travel and style, and they have created a beautiful Instagram dedicated to drawing inspiration from nature and creative individuals. The juxtaposed images on @jillkellet are intoxicating; I follow @natgeotravel for constant inspiration on where to take my family to next, and @indiahicksstyle always makes me laugh.
My biggest health tip for travelers is to… Stay hydrated. Water is a great way to remove all unwanted retention (especially after flying) and feel lean for summer. I take two teaspoons of The Super Elixir Alkalizing Greens in 500 ml (roughly 17 o) of water just before I get on plane and when I arrive to help combat jet lag, and I drink three liters of water a day.
My signature healthy dish is… Avocado and chili on sunflower seed toast.
The health app I couldn’t live without is… Wahoo Fitness, it’s great. The app is linked to a heart rate monitor which is ideal for tracking your progress, while doing outdoor activities like cycling and running swimming.
The top three songs on my workout playlist right now are… My 17-year-old son looked after our tunes all summer. He has amazing remixes, but don’t ask me the names.
The best part of my job is… I get to create products I wish existed on the market.
My favorite activewear brands are… Kate Hudson’s Fabletics come in great styles and patterns, I love Global Babe sunhats to protect my skin while outdoors, and Melissa Odabash does the best swimwear and cover-ups.
My summer health tip is… Start each day with The Super Elixir, and if you can, swim for 45 minutes. It’s easy on the body, has fast results and is fun to do on hot days. Summer is the best time to get outside and be active.

COIMBATORE: As many as 13 out of the 35 micro composting centres in the city have started functioning and the corporation has assured to put the remaining centres to use before the end of March, chairperson of the regional monitoring committee (south) of the National Green Tribunal (NGT) P Jyothimani said here on Friday. If I can encourage people to stay well all year, for example taking the Super Elixir every day, getting outdoors and breathing some fresh air, making sure you’re getting enough sleep and drinking enough water – if you can just keep it really simple when it comes round to feeling good for summer it’s easier because you have those strong building blocks already in place.”

“I have three meals a day and two snacks, mid-morning and afternoon. I have a bit to eat with my son at 6:30am after my drinks. I might have a poached egg sometimes, or half an avocado or some muesli that I make in the dehydrator with nuts and seeds and a little bit of coconut and cinnamon, and I’ll mix that with some fresh hemp or almond milk that I make myself.
“I like raw foods, so lunch is usually raw or lightly blanched vegetables and dinner is a salad or something like humus, tabbouleh or nut dips with dehydrated seed bread. It’s a bit different – but I’m never hungry and I eat quite a lot. Today I had a super bowl with quinoa, beets, goats cheese, sweet potato and rocket with olive oil and it was fabulous, I felt completely nourished.
“I snack on my Nourishing Protein , I have one every day, either the vanilla or chocolate one which I have blended with almond milk and banana, or water and avocado. In the afternoon I might have a snack of kelp crackers and sesame or some dulse seaweed.”

“All 100% organic, always. It’s very important to me.”
Her treats are not ‘guilty’ pleasures
“There’s no guilt in my pleasure! I have lots of pleasures – dark chocolate, the occasional espresso, a Thai curry – but I don’t feel guilty about them because I really love my mainstay diet too. I don’t enjoy junk food and I don’t like too much sugar any more.”
She used to love sugar, but curbed the cravings
“Since I’ve been taking the Super Elixir I don’t crave sugar anymore and so when I have cheap sugar now I just don’t like the taste. Sugar is addictive but breaking that addiction only takes about three days. Do a week of taking the Super Elixir greens and then try to give up sugar, it’s usually pretty successful.”

Little Black Book Of Beauty
From her early morning call time to a low carb lunch, this is how Elle ‘The Body’ Macpherson gets it done.
In 1989 – that’s 30 years ago, but who’s counting? – Elle Macpherson was aptly nicknamed ‘The Body’ on the cover of Time magazine. It’s a moniker that follows her to this day; and why shouldn’t it? At 55 years old, Macpherson has never looked better.
While Macpherson is obviously genetically blessed, maintaining a supermodel figure into your 50s does require a clean, wholesome lifestyle. “I have always been interested in wellness, but I when I was younger it was more directed at fitness,” Macpherson tells Gritty Pretty. “When you are younger, you are sort of interested in the way you look, you don’t really understand what it takes to balance inner and outer beauty. As I matured, I went on this journey to try understand how my body truly works in all phases of life.”
Macpherson’s wellness journey led her to co-found Welleco – a range of daily wholefood supplements. The brand’s offering ranges from the signature Super Elixir (a green powder infused with herbal extracts, vitamins, minerals and probiotics) to herbal tea, protein powder and more.
Welleco is no side hustle. Since launching in 2014, Macpherson’s latest business venture is now stocked in David Jones, Sephora, Net-A-Porter, assorted health food stores, the list goes on. (Impressive, no?) As part of her role as Co-Founder & Director of Welleco, the supermodel is currently in Australia for a series of speaking events with Business Chicks.
So, what does a day in the life of this supermodel, serial entrepreneur, mother and wellness guru involve? Here, Macpherson divulges her daily routine from sunrise to sunset – no detail spared.
I wake up at around 5-5:30am in the morning because I get my son up at 6am and I like to have that time in the morning where I can be quiet and prepare myself for the day.
I don’t reach for the phone. I don’t jump out of bed or have an espresso as soon as I wake up. I wake up consciously and set the foundation for my day.
I do conscious breathing and then some meditation. I set my intentions for the day, sometimes I do some spiritual reading or writing. Meditation for me is very simple. Just sitting quietly; I sit up, I don’t lay down, and then I breathe, counting my breaths. I get into a calm state, and then I just listen – listen for guidance, quiet my mind. That kind of connection is very important to me.
Then, I usually I drink a lot of water; probably almost one litre of water.
I wake up my son and start preparing breakfast. While I am preparing breakfast, I have a hot water and lemon. I usually have a Welleco Super Elixir blast – a scoop of greens with water before I eat.
I get my son off to school. Afterwards, I will do some sort of exercise. I try to get fresh air, sunshine and connect with nature which is super important to me; a walk in the park with my dogs or I will go for a run. Sometimes I will swim laps or get on the elliptical. If I’m travelling, I do yoga in the morning but I usually prefer to do yoga in the evening.
When I get back, I have a shower and breakfast – maybe a raw chia pudding or oatmeal soaked in hemp milk or just fruit. On the weekend, it’s poached eggs and avocado. Then, I take my supplements – I am working on a few at the moment. I might take a Welleco Super Booster too.
I get into the office around 9:30am; I have an office at home. I will have some snacks and I’ll have a juice mid-morning.
I’ll have lunch which can be veggies and a piece of sunflower toast. I’m not a big carbohydrates person.
I try not to carry my phone around with me, not in my pocket, not in my hand. I don’t scroll through Instagram all day. And believe me, this is not easy. I put time aside when I go onto social media. Social media is extremely important to me being an online business; tapping into our consumers and our community is super important. When I’m at my desk, I’m doing what I need to do at my desk; I’m not scrolling Instagram. I think it is time consuming.
I have a protein shake at around 2pm. I’m a chocoholic, so we made a really robust pea and rice protein powder. a very clean, lean, protein powder that is more than just a filler-upper. Most protein powders just fill you up so you don’t get hungry. This is also addressing inflammation and contains vitamins and minerals. It’s a very profound protein powder.
I’ll have a green shake at 4pm.
I have dinner with my son around 5 or 6pm. I usually make something plant based. a pasta with butternut squash; sometimes I’ll make eggs, veggies, soup, or vegan pizzas. I always shop at Saturday and Sunday markets. I like to eat produce that is in season. Eating plant based is so easy and economic.
at night, but not close to bed. Having a clear space before you go to bed is really important.
I don’t leave my phone next to my bed. I don’t want it to be the first and last thing I do before I fall asleep. I try have my phone charging somewhere else in my room because of my alarm. We have a basket next to the front door; when my sons were constantly on their phones and people were coming over for dinner, they would put them in the basket. So no phones at the table and I encourage to be off their phones before bed.
At the moment, I try to discipline myself to read before bed. I’m actually reading this book called ‘City of Girls’ ; I’m finding it really amusing. But I also like non-fiction books. I try to find inspiring books and read a few pages before going to sleep. Nourishing the body is not only what we put in our mouths and in our gut – we know the gut brain connection is quite important – but it’s also what we put in our mind and heart. I try to nourish myself with good quality stuff.

When you go through life with a nickname like ‘The Body’, it’s all but promised that people will become fascinated with your diet and fitness routine.
Elle Macpherson has held this title for decades and now, even as she gracefully moves through her fifties, the model-cum-entrepreneur’s physique continues to capture the attention of the masses. Have you seen the woman? She’s like a gazelle.

Macpherson is the picture of health at 55-years old. And while I’m in no way saying we should all aim to be model-size, surely there are a couple things we could learn from this Amazonian Aussie.
So, in the name of service, I decided to take a deep dive into Macpherson’s wellness plan. I attempted to follow it for one week. And funnily enough, I found that the greatest parts of her routine had nothing to do with her figure.
Here are the five biggest lessons I took from my week as The Body.
#1. Her attitude toward health is everything
My favourite element of Macpherson’s routine was her laid back approach.
The model follows a mostly plant-based diet but isn’t overly concerned if she strays occasionally. “There’s no guilt in my pleasure,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK.
Like Macpherson, I avoided processed foods and added sugar but didn’t completely cut anything out. Breakfast was usually chia pudding that I’d make with almond milk, or oats. Lunch and dinner were often a giant bowl of veggies and a grain like quinoa.
From time to time, Macpherson enjoys poached eggs for breakfast or some goat’s cheese with lunch, so I allowed myself to do the same.
By axing the shame that’s often coupled with “failing” a diet, I felt more relaxed about adopting a mostly plant-based eating plan and didn’t harbour any resentment towards the experience.

#2. I couldn’t match her mindfulness
According to Harper’s Bazaar Australia, Macpherson wakes up at 5:30 am and lies in bed for 10 minutes to “set up” her day.
This didn’t work for me.
For one, I couldn’t get up at 5:30am– sorry guys, but my body said no – best I could do was 6:30am.
And each time I tried to lie in bed for 10 minutes, I’d fall back asleep… which I doubt is the goal.
My failures didn’t end there. After this initial 10-minute period, Macpherson meditates for 20 to 30 minutes. Because I’m awful at waking up early, I was usually left with maybe 20 minutes to get ready and run out the front door. Ciao, mindfulness.
Still, I made time for daily meditation sessions; something that helped me feel calm and centred almost immediately.

#3. Supplements made snacking easier
Like most uber-healthy people, Macpherson is a fan of eating small, regular meals.
“I have three meals a day and two snacks, mid-morning and afternoon,” she told Harper’s Bazaar UK.
I’ve never been great at this. I eat when I’m hungry, which generally sees me sticking to the standard three meals per day.
In Macpherson’s case, however, her snacks are in liquid form. Her day is peppered with elixirs made with supplements from her wellness brand WelleCo, Vogue Australia shares. I found this easier to stick to.
In the morning, I’d start by drinking a glass of her green Super Elixir, or her chocolate protein powder (mixed with water and oat milk). In the afternoon, I’d switch. Admittedly, the green elixir took a few shots to get used to (it tastes very, um, green). But I often felt an energy boost after knocking it back.

#4. I was pushed to try different workouts
Fitness is a massive part of Macpherson’s routine. She trains for an hour most days – but only does the kind of workouts she enjoys.
From vinyasa yoga and ocean swims to boxing and water skiing, The Body’s exercise schedule is about as interesting as they come.
Seeing as I’m based in New York, and I’m fresh out of water skis, I was forced to opt-out of the ocean activities. But I did my best to diversify my workouts. I took yoga classes; trained with weights; went for runs, and trialled a Box and Flow class (combining boxing with yoga).
It was hard work, but I found it rewarding to try something different and push myself in new ways.

#5. I didn’t want to stop after a week
Macpherson’s health routine is more than an intense program focused on the physical.
The mother-of-two has built a lifestyle that ensures she’s mentally and physically fit. But it allows enough flexibility to keep it sustainable.
For me, this resulted in a cleaner diet and a more rigorous training program that I felt excited about. And while a week is only a short time, I noticed my stomach flatten out and my energy levels increase. After the experiment was over, I even found myself wanting to be active on days off from the gym (what a weirdo).
The lifestyle shift was a confidence-builder that happened to see my clothes fitting better (the sugar-free de-bloat is real, people). Additionally, my active schedule forced me to wake up earlier and crash at a reasonable hour (if you want to fix your sleeping habits, sign up for morning workouts).
The only thing I can’t really say benefited (right away) was my skin. I changed my skincare routine a week before starting this experiment and was in the middle of a breakout when Macpherson took over my life. With that considered, it’s not really fair of me to comment on how my skin responded to the diet.
What I can tell you, however, is that while I failed at some elements of Macpherson’s plan, I felt happy to adopt a version of her regime. It left my body and my headspace in good nick – which is all anyone can ask for, really.

When I was younger, I went through a brief period where I wanted to look like Elle Macpherson. And if I couldn’t have Elle’s face and body, I would have at least settled for her impossibly long legs. Eventually I decided that I was beautiful in my own unique way, but when Elle released a workout VHS in 1994 — called Elle Macpherson: Your Personal Best — I jumped at the chance to emulate The Body’s body through exercise.
It quickly became my favorite workout tape — much more so than Cindy Crawford’s Shape Your Body (which came under criticism because some of the warm-up moves could injure your neck and back.) But when DVDs came on the scene and my VCR eventually died, I had to give the workout up other than the moves that had been committed to memory.
Flash forward to 2017 and I discover, with delight, that some incredibly awesome person actually uploaded Your Personal Best to YouTube! Earlier today I finally pulled on my Athleta workout gear, ignoring the fact that the 12-14 pounds I have gained during the past year are making me look like I’m in the first trimester of pregnancy. This is going to be a piece of cake and a blast, I’m thinking to myself; after all, I did this workout 2-3 times a week back in the day.
I couldn’t do even half of the last aerobics section. Sigh…I really am getting (ahem) older (and getting sidelined with a nasty virus for a while after Christmas didn’t exactly help me stay in shape.) I was sweaty, hot, and tired — not unlike having the flu (and I’m sure the achy part will come tomorrow.) Elle Macpherson — and her trainer on this video, Karen Voight — kicked my butt. But of course after hopping in the shower I felt great, and I’ll be making this workout a regular part of my exercise routine a few times a week.
There’s a few reasons why I love Your Personal Best. For starters, even though it was released over 20 years ago it has aged tremendously well, with just some opening graphics and the soundtrack (INXS, Power Station, Sting, etc.) giving the era away. It was also filmed in Hawaii, including one location that was featured in the first Jurassic Park movie. But most importantly, it delivers a really awesome workout in an hour that incorporates sculpting and lifting weights with burning some calories via low impact moves. And of course, Macpherson is her beautiful, personable self in it. I remember a few months after I first started doing it in the ’90s, a fitness instructor complimented me on my toned upper body when I took a class with a couple of friends at their gym. So I know it works!
Elle Macpherson made an earlier workout video, in 1989, called Elle Macpherson Stretch and Strengthen, but Your Personal Best definitely beats that one. Karen Voight, by the way, has trained Hollywood stars and has produced over 25 workout videos.
YouTube is now teeming with a lot of uploaded “vintage” workouts (even though Your Personal Best doesn’t feel so vintage.) Sometimes it’s fun to try these out, if even for the nostalgic value of watching women hop around in colorful spandex. Elle Macpherson under fire for ‘beach body’ summer weight loss advice
Elle Macpherson has come under fire for advising people replace meals with protein shakes and “cut carbs” in order to get “beach body ready.”
The supermodel, 54, who became known as “The Body”, made the comments in a segment titled “Elle Macpherson’s Beach Body Secrets” on This Morning on Wednesday.
However her remarks have been criticised for suggesting men and women need to lose weight for summer.

“Summer’s coming up and I too am getting ready for summer body,” the supermodel said. “I know that sounds really corny, but we all think about that.”
To “beat the bloat,”Macpherson explained how she not only drinks more water but also swims and takes mineral salts baths because she thinks “water is a great diuretic.”
The most controversial section of her video, however, was titled “cut the carbs.”
“Coming up to summer, I will limit the bread intake, rice, you know, cream… Anything white,” Macpherson said, going on to explain how she sometimes skips dinner in favour of a shake.
“I have my protein shakes,” she says. “I use them as a healthy snack mid-morning or mid-afternoon and sometimes I use it as a meal-replacement in the evenings if I’ve had a really strong breakfast or a strong lunch, I can get away with having a protein shake for dinner – for a short period of time.
“Obviously it’s not for an extended period , but if it’s leading up to summer and you really want to drop a few pounds, that’s the way I do it and I find it really, really helpful.”
She also recommends using a dry skin brush over the body in the morning and evening before showering, exercising in the morning and making sure you get enough sleep.
“There’s nothing worse than leading up to summer and thinking ‘Why didn’t I make a bit of effort?’ because I was lazy or I was too tired or I didn’t think it would work,” she says.
“I truly believe that if you start six weeks, two weeks, one week – any effort that we make towards just making sure that we’re more healthy – and I don’t think it’s about huge restrictions, not eating or punishing ourselves – it’s just making an effort to say ‘You know what, I’m really going to be happy in six weeks’ time when I’ve done this consistent work, I’ll see a difference.’”
But her comments have not gone down well on social media, with many This Morning viewers criticising Macpherson for reinforcing the notion that you have to have a certain physique to wear a bikini on holiday.
However some defended the model, suggesting she was “trying to be helpful.”

But the segment that was most controversial was called “Cut the carbs”. Here she explained that coming up to summer she will limit bread, rice, cream, “anything white”.
This seems to buy into the idea that before summer you need to have a “No carbs before Marbs” ethos (to use the now-famous phrase from The Only Way Is Essex).
