A skilled coach provides the motivation you need and makes sure you don’t swerve from the goal – all while ensuring the safety of your workout.

Some people automatically stereotype fitness trainers as uptight individuals who love yelling at sweaty gym goers— after all, trainers are supposed to do what they can to help people achieve fitness goals. At our upscale studios, though, we have trainers who know how to effectively motivate people, even when it comes to taking a tough-love approach.
Our trainers want what’s best for you. They know what you need to do to reach your weight loss goals, and they push you toward that. With that in mind, be open and willing to having a trainer assist you on your journey to a fitter body.
Furthermore, at least in our case, the trainers study each individual’s condition and lifestyle to determine the most suitable workout routine, gradually adjusting it until you are happy with the results.

Nutrition management is likewise a part of our fitness program. As such, our fitness trainers will help you monitor your eating habits, encouraging you to eat healthily and to avoid snacks that are bad for your body.

As I see it, there probably aren’t too many people who actually love performing plank tricep extensions or doing weighted squats. Strength training can be grueling and tedious, no matter how much you love your playlist. But hot yoga’s a muscle-building alternative that’s not tedious: Your mind and body are totally engaged, from Child Pose to Corpse Pose. Plus, hot yoga transforms your mood, putting you in the mellowest state possible (even if you’re high-strung like me). With hot yoga, you get all-over strength, flexibility, stress reduction, mindfulness and an amazing shvitz, all at the same time. Still not sold? Let me tackle your objections, one by one.
But… it’s too hot. Hot yoga isn’t necessarily Bikram, a type that happens in a room that’s 105 degrees. For instance, at Moksha Yoga Studio in New York City, the temperature range is between 92 and 98. “Anything hotter than your body temperature can be too overwhelming,” says studio director and teacher Guillaume Brun. His tip: Get into the room 15 minutes early and just lie still. This will help your body adjust to the heat.
But… I won’t be able to hold the poses if I’m slipping from sweat. If that happens, just wrap your towel around the wet limb for support (i.e., around your foot for Tree Pose or the top of your arm for Crow). You can also place a non-skid yoga towel over the entire mat to prevent sweat-induced slippage.
But… I’ll get dehydrated. The day prior to your hot yoga class, drink about ten 8-ounce glasses of water. Two hours before, drink 16 ounces of water, and during class, continue to guzzle as needed. Post-class, replenish with an electrolyte drink or water with lemon, or eat some cucumber, watermelon or dark green leafy vegetables.
But… my muscles will get so warm I’ll overstretch. “Heat actually increases the blood flow into the muscles so they’re more pliable,” says Michele Olson, Ph.D., professor of exercise physiology at the University of Auburn in Montgomery. “You’re less likely to get injured with warm muscles than cooler ones. Think of a warm rubber band. It stretches easily. In contrast, one that’s cold is stiffer and more likely to pop when pulled.”

It’s clear that Dwayne Johnson, 45, clearly isn’t spending a lot of time on the couch eating pizza. In addition to his ultra-clean 5,000-plus-calorie daily diet, which he revealed on Twitter, he also spends five days a week doing intense weight training in the gym.
The surprising part? In addition to his two weekend rest days, his trainer revealed to Men’s Health that the athlete-turned-actor spends under an hour at the gym each day.
2 Gabrielle Union
What’s the key to 45-year-old Gabrielle Union’s age-defying look? On top of the intense bodyweight exercises she’s detailed on her Instagram, the Being Mary Jane actress says that, in addition to drinking a gallon of water a day and reducing portion sizes when she eats out, she believes in all things in moderation.
“The great thing about Pilates is that I can take out my annoyance from waking up early on the machines instead of human beings. It’s for the greater good. My body responds to it, and I’m also more clear,” she tells Women’s Health.
3 Hugh Jackman
Wonder how Wolverine gets those shredded abs at 49? According to Jackman’s trainer, David Kingsbury, Jackman combined a low-carb diet on rest days with carbs on his workout days and heavy lifting with low reps to get in shape.
4 Gwen Stefani
As far as older women with great bodies go, this pop mogul is still inspiring with hers. 48-year-old Gwen Stefani’s recipe for maintaining her famously fit figure is simple. “There is no secret: You just have to eat healthy, work out, and torture yourself!” she tells Harper’s Bazaar, although her former trainer insists there’s some high-intensity weight training behind her success, too.
5 Strauss Zelnick
At 60 years-old, media mogul Strauss Zelnick (pictured above, seated in the middle) is in the kind of shape most people would kill to be in at 20. “I made a decision that I was going to treat fitness as an important part of my schedule,” Zelnick revealed to Business Insider.
Zelnick does two-a-days four days a week, single workouts twice a week, and enjoys one day of rest.
