December 2006: The blind date

It all started with a blind date. Brady, who was in a relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan at the time, agreed to meet Bundchen for a drink.

Bundchen said she knew it was love at first sight. She spoke about their date during an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.

“You know, when I saw those kind eyes, I literally fell in love, like, right away,” she said. “I was like, ‘What?’ He was just so—you know how sweet he is.”

Brady broke up with Moynahan shortly after his blind date with Bundchen and the two officially became an item.

February 2007: Complications

Things got a bit complicated for the new couple when Moynahan announced she was pregnant with Brady’s child.

“It was a challenging thing because here I am, you know, thinking, I’m dating this guy, we met, and we started dating and everything is great and then this happens,” Bundchen told CBS This Morning. “So, then I felt like I didn’t know what to do. It was kind of one of those moments of like, ‘Do I just run away?'”

Moynahan and Brady welcomed their son, Jack, now 12, in August 2007. Bundchen refers to Jack as her “bonus child.”

12 years ago, you blessed our lives with your love and light! I couldn’t imagine a more beautiful soul than you! Happy Birthday Jackie! Your family loves you sssooooooo much! ❤️🎂

January 2009: Engaged

After dating for two years, Brady and Bundchen got engaged.

Bundchen told Vogue about Brady’s tricky proposal.

“When he proposed to me, he made up this whole story how my apartment was flooding, and I ran over to fix the situation,” she said. “When I got there, the whole apartment had candles and rose petals everywhere, and then he went down on his knees to propose, and I’m like, ‘get up!’ because he just had surgery and had three staph infections. And I was like ‘What are you doing?’ He’s like, ‘I gotta go on my knees,’ and I’m like, ‘No, no, no! Get up, please!'”

February 2009: Marriage

Brady and Bundchen got married on February 26, 2009, at a church in Santa Monica, California.

Only 20 people attended the intimate ceremony, according to Brides.

“We planned it in like 10 days, and it was perfect,” Brady told GQ later that year.

What a ride this past 9 years have been. I love learning and growing with you. Happy anniversary love of my lifey! Te amo muito! ❤😘 Que aventura tem sido esses últimos 9 anos. Amo aprender e crescer contigo. Feliz aniversário amor da minha vida!

April 2009: Second ceremony

Less than two months after getting married, Brady and Bundchen invited extended family (about 40 people) to join them in Costa Rica for another ceremony.

In her autobiography, “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life,” which was released in October 2018, Bundchen shares details about the causal affair.

“People ate Mexican food and drank margaritas,” she said. “They sat or stood in the kitchen, or on the lawn, or by the side of the pool. My sister Pati and Tom’s sister Julie each read a beautiful poem, and everyone had a slice of the chocolate wedding cake. Tom had made playlists — his had songs by Ray LaMontagne, Amos Lee, James Taylor, and others—and at some point my friend Nino, whom I’ve known since my earliest days in New York and who’s like a brother to me, plugged in his iPod. The kids went swimming in the pool, while guests danced around in their bathing suits.”

Love being your partner in the dance of life. Happy anniversary my love! Te amo ❤ Amo ser sua parceira na dança da vida. Feliz aniversário de casamento meu amor! Te amo.

December 2009: First child

The couple’s first child, Benjamin Rein, was born on Dec. 8, 2009. Bundchen revealed that she delivered her son in the bathtub of their penthouse apartment in Boston.

His smile just melts my heart! Today is his day and I feel so lucky to be his mummy. Happy birthday sweet angel. You are so loved. #infinitelove #myboyboy ❤🥰🎈🎂 👼🏻🎁 Esse sorriso derrete meu coração! 2015: Divorce rumors

Tabloids reported that the couple had been having marital issues and planned on getting divorced.

Brady denied the rumors during a radio interview with WEEI.

“We’re in a great place,” he said. “There’s no bigger support I have than her.”

September 2016: Deflategate

Brady was suspended for four games during the 2016 NFL season.

Bundchen shared support for her husband by sharing an Instagram photo of the two playing catch, along with the caption, “Don’t worry guys. I will keep him ready.”

Don’t worry guys. I will keep him ready. #Brady’scamp #IwillwhatIwant 😂😂😂 Não se preocupem. Ele vai estar preparado.

May 2017: Concussions

Bundchen tells CBS News that Brady has had concussions, but there are no NFL records of them.

February 2019: Marriage isn’t easy

Brady shared a photo to Instagram celebrating his 10-year anniversary with Bundchen and said, “I know our journey has not been easy, but the challenges we have overcome have made our bond stronger and our love grow deeper.”

In an interview with host Jason Kennedy as part of the network’s new “In the Room” series, Brady elaborated on how he balances his marriage with his career. He told Kennedy “CCC” has helped the couple navigate demanding schedules and maintain a healthy relationship. Brady and Bundchen celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in February.

“It’s not like because I’m a football player, her life is going to stop,” Brady said. “The challenging part for us is we are very ambitious people. A lot of the times, I’m going one direction and she’s going in the other. It’s ships passing in the night. I’m going to football, and she’s got things she’s doing, and oh, by the way, the kids.”

Brady and Bundchen have two children, Benny, 9, and Vivian, 6. Brady also has a son Jack, 12, from a previous relationship. The father of three called his daughter “a force of nature,” noting that she is just like her mom.

“She might run the house,” joked Brady. “She owns her daddy.”

With the intense level of scrutiny that comes with his profession, Brady said he still tries to draw on the same lessons his parents imparted upon him growing up. He admitted there are different nuances to each of his priorities — his kids, his wife, and football — but he always aims to set a good example.

“I try to do the best I can do,” he said. “I’m certainly not perfect. There’s a lot of things I screw up that I try to do better at, whether that’s my personal life or my professional life.”

Although Brady acknowledged the public-facing nature of his job, he also made it clear that there are things he elects to keep private.

“I definitely respect my private life because that’s very important to me,” Brady said. “It’s very sacred. I think there’s a difference now. Especially in today’s age, it’s very tricky what is too much exposure for people. Now, everyone can show everything. That’s not my personality, which is why I won’t do that.”

Did Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen Really Buy a Place in Greenwich?

With the New England Patriots out of Super Bowl contention, the legendary Pats quarterback Tom Brady has some free time on his hands.

And with free agency looming for him, fans have been wondering if the all-time greatest is house hunting. Rumors surfaced that he and his supermodel wife, Gisele Bündchen, had been looking at homes outside Massachusetts. The most persistent rumor remains that the couple have purchased a home in Greenwich, CT.

Thus far, the rumors swirling around are simply idle chatter. Let’s take a look at what we know.

Brady’s Brookline home up for grabs

In August, the couple placed their custom-built compound in Brookline, MA, on the market for $39.5 million. The posh residence in the upscale Boston suburb features 5 acres, a five-bedroom main house with wine room, gym, spa, a separate guesthouse, and yoga studio, as well as a pool and vegetable garden.

With no buyers willing to draw up an offer, the price of the place dropped to $33.9 million in October, and it is still available. So, we do know the family wants to move, somewhere.

The hunt

In fact, the couple already own a luxury condo in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood, which they reportedly purchased in 2016 for $20-plus million.

And last summer, the two were also said to be house hunting in Alpine, NJ, and Greenwich for a more pastoral place within easy reach of the Big Apple.

Home, sweet home?

So, did they find their dream home? In October, the “Homes of the Rich” blog trumpeted a report that the Bradys had purchased a property in Connecticut.

Houlihan Lawrence

For its part, Greenwich was ready to welcome the newcomers with open arms.

“We would welcome Tom Brady and his family moving to Greenwich,” Greenwich First Selectman Peter Tesei told the Hartford Courant as the buzz began.

But the agent of the home in question denied that Brady and Bündchen had bought the property. Last listed for $13.9 million in July, the 14,862-square-foot mansion on 10 acres is now listed as “in contract.” So it could have been bought by someone.

Brady himself laughed off the rumors on the “The Greg Hill Show” in November.

“You’re so funny,” Brady said. “It’s hard to respond to everything. The reality is, I choose to respond to almost nothing. … I just don’t get into the fray.”

Brady did have to calm fan fears after the news that he had placed his Brookline home on the market. He told fans not to “read into” the sale of his Massachusetts home, one of the most expensive in Brookline.

“It takes a long time to sell a house,” Brady said in an interview on show. “My house is a little bit of an expensive one, so it doesn’t fly off the shelf in a couple weeks.”

Well, he understands the real estate game.

Fans are jumpy about any moves Brady may—or may not—be making. After all, although he couldn’t bring his team to the Super Bowl this time around, he can boast six prior Super Bowl wins. And now that the Patriots have no place in the Super Bowl, there’s still concern that he’s itching for a change.

“Stay Tom,” pleaded a message in the snow recently posted on Twitter. To which Brady responded, “Love you all.”

Gisele Bündchen Goes Completely Makeup Free on Her Newest Vogue Cover

Here’s how you know you’ve reached supermodel status: you don’t even have to change out of your sweatshirt and Bugs Bunny slippers during a shoot for Vogue Italia.

That’s the level that Gisele Bündchen’s at, clearly. She may have recently lost her decade-long title of world’s highest paid model to Kendall Jenner, but she’s still a legend. So for its February cover, the team at Vogue Italia photographed Bündchen in her natural environment at home with New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady at the couple’s Boston mansion. Photographer Jamie Hawkesworth took the photos using film and natural light, according to Huffington Post, sans retouching. Instead of her usual glam look, it’s just Bündchen and her PJs, without a hair and makeup team or stylist.

“Sunday early morning with no hair, no makeup at home for @vogueitalia,” Bündchen wrote on Instagram.

So that envy-inducing, glowing skin is entirely Bündchen, huh? It’s almost enough to make us want to try out the model and football star’s incredibly restrictive anti-imflammatory diet — almost!

Gisele Bündchen just proved why she’s earned the title of supermodel as she poses in her most natural shoot to date.

The model mother just gave us major skin envy by posing on the cover of Vogue Italia without a scrap of makeup on.

Gisele is the first-ever supermodel in the iconic magazine’s history to ditch her beauty bag for the shoot.

Gisele didn’t just stop at makeup; she also shunned artificial lighting, a stylist and a professional set. Instead, the multi-tasking model styled herself and let photographer Jamie Hawkesworth take photos her in her house.

In fact, Gisele even dons a ripped hoodie on the cover and wears her hair scraped back into a bun (we wish we looked as good as she does in her comfies).

The 37-year-old, who is married to New England Patriots quarterback, Tom Brady, works with makeup artist Tom Pecheux, who has previously cited good skincare as the key to being the best version of yourself.

Gisele has been busy lending her support to husband Tom, whose team narrowly missed out on the Super Bowl win over the weekend.

Let’s all follow Gisele’s lead and ditch the foundation once in a while.

Gisele Bündchen Just Slayed the Cover of ‘Vogue Italia’ Without a Stitch of Makeup

We’ve seen plenty of celebs ditch the beauty products as society leans in to the no-makeup approach (helloooo, Alicia Keys!), posting bare-faced selfies to Instagram and even showing up sans product to events. But supermodel Gisele Bündchen may have just trumped them all, making history as the first person to ever go makeup-free on the cover of Vogue Italia.

Posing for the magazine’s February cover, the 37-year-old Brazilian bombshell ditched all airs of superficialness, forgoing cosmetic and hair products and choosing her own comfy Gucci clothing. The result? A positively glowing mommy of two, looking absolutely flawless in her own skin, despite the 6am photoshoot call-time.

The pic was shot by photographer Jamie Hawkesworth and videographer Kevin Tekinel in her and hubby and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s home in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts, where she gave readers a glimpse inside their lives with children Benjamin (eight) and Vivian (five).

The shoot, titled “Sunday With Gisele,” also played up the natural factor with the lighting, with Hawkesworth skipping artificial brightness in favor of real sunlight. According to Huffington Post, the photographer even snapped the photos on film to ensure they wouldn’t be retouched.

Bündchen and Brady have traditionally kept their home life pretty private, which makes the intimate moments she shares — particularly when lounging about in a sweatshirt and Bugs Bunny slippers— all the more special.

The photoshoot comes just as the power couple launches a lifestyle brand, TB12, which includes nutrition, workout gear, exercise regimens, and more. Hey, if Bündchen’s Vogue Italia look is any testament to the brand’s effectiveness, sign us up!

Even in a summer riddled with celebrity homes hitting the market, it was the listing of the season when Bundchen and Brady’s custom-built Brookline home was put up for sale in August, with an asking price of $39.5 million for 12,000-plus square feet. But now, just two short months later, the price of the celebrity residence seems to have…deflated somewhat. Lucky for any superfans trying to score a piece of Patriots-related property, the five-bedroom home has just dropped to $33.9 million.

And as golfers with a keen calendar sense will note, the price slice has landed on October 4, National Golf Lovers Day. The five-acre estate happens to be situated next to the ninth hole of the Chestnut Hill Country Club, making for a fateful alignment. However, should any fellow heavyweights have their eye on the lot, they should know it make take some time to be admitted into the nation’s oldest golf club—it took the home’s current owners two years to gain access to the exclusive facility.

The acreage has much more to offer than its proximity to the golf course, though. A pool, patio, organic garden with herbs and veggies, circular driveway that can fit up 20 cars, and a 2,400-square-foot “barn-inspired guest house” populate the grounds. The guest house sports a sleeping loft and a bathroom, as well as a yoga studio fixed with sliding wooden walls.

The home, designed by Richard Landry, has five additional bedrooms, five bathrooms and two half baths, formal living and dining rooms, a fireplaced office, and an eat-in kitchen. Beamed and vaulted ceilings, striking light fixtures, and overall design by Joan Behnke make for a pretty impressive interior.

And though the $5.6 million reduction might bring the home into range for some, listing agent Beth Dickerson of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty says make no mistake—this is not a home for everyone. “If someone doesn’t show me a $40 million financial statement, they can’t get in,” she says. Phones are checked at the door, photos are prohibited, and anyone privy to the details of the listing is tight-lipped. “Someone tried to bring their driver in with them and I had to say, sorry, you can’t come in,” Dickerson recalls. “This is not a public presentation.”

Though the discount would suggest a motivated seller, Brady seems unhurried. Or at least he did back in August, when he told WEEI radio, “You shouldn’t read into anything. It takes a long time to sell a house. I don’t know if you guys know, my house is a little bit of an expensive one, so it doesn’t fly off the shelves in a couple of weeks.”

Will 112 Woodland Road ever host an open house? “Never,” Dickerson says. So if you haven’t already, take a virtual peek into the price-dropped manse below.

Dr. Dre To Buy Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady’s $50M LA Mansion

The first billionaire of hip-hop is buying Gisele Bundchen and Tom Brady’s Los Angeles mansion for a staggering $50 million. With Apple acquiring Beats Electronics for $3.2 billion, Dr. Dre can certainly afford Tom and Gisele’s 14,000-square-foot Brentwood estate complete with a moat.

According to the NYPost: “Dre put an offer on the mansion as soon as it came on the market, and is a few weeks away from closing.”

The richest man in hip-hop is currently Sean “Puff Daddy” Combs, whom Forbes Magazine says is worth $700 million. Jay Z is in third place with $520 million. After Apple’s acquisition of Beats, Dr. Dre will certainly take the crown at the top spot.

Fastback: Steve Jobs calls up Dr. Dre and talks about iTunes and the iPod.

Top model Gisele Bündchen and New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady are selling their stunning Los Angeles Estate. After 4 years of construction, the 14,000-square-foot Brentwood home is on the market for $50 million with the Westside Estate Agency.

The home cost $20 million to build and includes eight bedrooms, a six-car garage, a lagoon-shaped swimming pool with spa, a weight room and a wine cellar.

The amazing property was featured in Architectural Digest, where the NFL star told the magazine:

“Gisele and I have eight sisters between us, and there are lots of kids. We built this house as a sanctuary for our family—a place where we can enjoy being together.”

Los Angeles must not have been the ideal sanctuary for the Bündchen/Brady clan, as they’re building another mega mansion from scratch in Brookline, Mass. The family is reportedly planning on living full-time in the new 14,000-square-foot New England estate which, according to TMZ, will include “a basement spa, a motor court, a pool with a “Baja shelf” (perfect for tanning in the water), a library with a balcony, a wine cellar, and even its own yoga studio.”

Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen just put their Massachusetts home on the market, and — spoiler alert! — it’s just as stunning as the power couple. Now listed on for a whopping $39.5 million, the sprawling 9,716-square-foot house is situated on more than five acres of land just outside of Boston, and the interior is quite the gorgeous sight to behold. Everywhere you turn, floor-to-ceiling windows abound, flooding the space with plenty of light. Natural wooden ceiling beams give the not-so-humble abode a more rustic twist and seamlessly blend with the rest of the home’s predominantly beige, brown, and white decor color palette. Oh, and half of the dining room ceiling is covered in paneled skylights, which likely makes for quite the romantic starlit dinner.

Whereas the mansion’s lower level features two kitchens, a recreation room, kids playroom, wine room, gym, and spa (phew!), the second floor houses the five bedrooms where Tom, Gisele, and their three kids — Jack, Benjamin, and Vivian — sleep. Meanwhile, the elegant family estate boasts quite the expansive backyard, complete with a tiled pool and charming barn-inspired guesthouse I’d happily live in full-time. The detached lodging clocks in at 2,400 square feet and contains a yoga studio, full bathroom, and sleeping loft.

All in all, Tom and Gisele’s for-sale home is a total touchdown (sorry, couldn’t resist squeezing at least one football-related pun in here). Ahead, admire the dreamy estate in all its glory — and be sure to zoom in on that incredible guesthouse.

Gisele Bündchen says she quit Victoria’s Secret because she felt ‘less at ease’ posing in bikinis

  • Gisele Bündchen revealed the reason behind her departure from Victoria’s Secret in her new memoir “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life.”
  • She writes that she became “less at ease” with wearing “just a bikini or thong.”
  • Bündchen placed two pieces of paper reading “yes” and “no” in an empty teacup, and ultimately pulled “no.”

Gisele Bündchen was one of the most famous Victoria’s Secret Angels during her time with the brand, but she hung up her wings back in 2006 after joining their roster of models in 1999.

She just released a new memoir entitled “Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life” in which she reveals the reason behind her decision to move on from the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. According to an excerpt shared by People, her comfort level with the lingerie started to dwindle as her modeling career developed.

“For the first five years, I felt comfortable modeling in lingerie, but as time went on, I felt less and less at ease being photographed walking the runway wearing just a bikini or a thong,” she writes in the memoir. “Give me a tail, a cape, wings — please, anything to cover me up a little!”

Though she acknowledges the opportunities the brand gave her, she ultimately decided not to renew her contract in 2006.

“I was certainly grateful for the opportunity and the financial security the company had given me, but I was at a different place in my life, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue working there,” Bündchen writes.

When it came time to make her decision, she devised a simple way to make the big life change: placing two pieces of paper with the words “yes” and “no” in an empty teacup and letting fate decide the rest.

“I closed my eyes and set an intention: whatever piece of paper I chose would be for my highest and best self and be the right decision,” she wrote. “No was the answer I unconsciously wanted to hear. It was also the answer my body wanted to hear and, I believe, had been trying to tell me for days.”

Though the model is no longer a part of the annual event, her legacy continues to influence the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show. Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury told People that Bündchen is the inspiration behind the “sun-kissed” looks the models will be wearing at this year’s show, so it looks like she’ll be there in spirit.

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show airs Sunday, December 2, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC. Find out more about how to watch the show here.
