Kim Kardashian’s changing body – from ‘injected bum’ to shrinking waist

Kim Kardashian and the rest of the Keeping Up With The Kardashians tribe are all no strangers to showing off their bodies.

However, looking back at Kim at the start of her reality TV career, it’s fair to say she’s changed quite a bit.

Flashing back to 2008, when she was merely Paris Hilton’s sidekick, Kim’s figure is certainly far less curvaceous.

Whereas now, she flaunts an extremely ample trademark derriere, which just seems to be getting bigger and bigger.

But is her figure the result of plastic surgery or just a rigorous gym regime?

While Kim’s body has been a hot topic for years, it first sparked national conversation after she dropped a huge amount of weight following the birth of her first daughter North in 2012.

“After five months I swore I’d never get pregnant again. I got so huge and it felt like someone had taken over my body,” she recalled years later.

“I had a really bad pregnancy and I gained a lot of weight and I did not feel good about myself. I felt probably the lowest I have ever felt in my life”.

Following Kim’s pregnancy, she went into hiding, and didn’t re-appear until she had transformed her figure.

She emerged looking more toned than ever, with a tiny waist and exaggerated curves, crediting the Atkins diet and exercise for her new physique.

However, some fans were unconvinced, claiming that there must have been more to her transformation.

As surgery rumours flew her way, Kim snapped back on Twitter: “I am very frustrated today seeing reports that I got surgery to lose my baby weight!”

“This is FALSE. I worked so hard to train myself and eat healthy, I work out so hard & this was such a challenge for me but I did it!!!”

She added: “I’m so proud of my accomplishment & NO ONE will take this away from me with fake reports! Say what u want about me but I work hard & am the most disciplined person u will ever meet!”

But by this point, the rumour mill had already begun to turn.

Two years later, speculation only increased after her Paper magazine cover, which shows her popping a champagne cork off her huge bottom.

The picture quickly broke the internet, and fans were swift to compare her enviable backside with snaps where it looked significantly smaller before she found fame.

However, the star was by this point exercise mad, and keen to prove that she was all natural.

During Season 6 of Keeping Up With The Kardashians Kim even submitted an X-ray of her bum to silence the critics who insisted she must have had silicone implants.

Unfortunately, this didn’t convince a lot of fans or professionals, with many still claiming that her backside could not have grown that much with exercise alone.

Speculating about how her figure had changed so much, a surgeon from pointed out that fat transfer or fat injections wouldn’t show up on an X-ray.

“It is possible she has had fat transferred from less desirable areas such as the waist or stomach and had it put into her buttocks and hips to create a curvier frame,” they said, suggesting a way that she could have subtly boosted the size of her bottom.

While Dr Tijion Esho, owner of Le Beau Ideal clinic in Harley Street, agreed she’s had more done than she’s letting on.

Referring to her bottom he told The Metro: “I suspect she has had a Brazilian butt lift where fat is taken from areas such as the abdomen and then thigh and then transferred to the bum. This would give a large bottom to waist ratio and would not show up on a X-ray as it’s normal fat.”

While she continues to deny she’s had any work done, Kim’s body has undoubtedly evolved more and more as the years have gone on.

She faced the same questioning after dropping her baby weight in weeks following the birth of son Saint in 2015, shrinking to the petite size she was back in 2010.

Dr. Tabasum Mir, a New York City-based dermatologist and star of Bravo’s The Singles Project, said at the time that she believed Kim had had around £100,000 worth of procedures to ditch the weight – including liposuction.

However, the new mum once again said her toned torso and tiny waist was down to the Atkins diet, claiming she’d found it much easier to lose her baby weight the second time around, and it had just “dropped off”.

Growing more and more voluptuous, Kim is now synonymous with the curvy physique.

However, even the doubters can’t deny that she puts a lot of graft in, even hiring Instagram fitness influencer and body builder Melissa Alcantara to train her and subject her to very early morning HIT sessions and interval training in her private gym.

“Shout out to my trainer @fitgurlmel who really changed my body. When I wasn’t happy with what I saw back in the mirror I spent a whole year training so hard 5 or 6 days a week putting in a lot of work and changed the way that I eat and there’s such a noticeable difference,” Kanye West’s wife wrote in 2018 alongside a picture of herself lying on the beach.

“I am firm and less cellulite and so much more confident. SO THANK YOU for waking up at 5am to do crazy body building workouts & sprints that I hate & putting me on to this lifestyle.”

Today, Kim is subjected to as many surgery rumours as ever – but the truth about her changing physique is likely to always remain shrouded in mystery.

November 04, 2019 – 12:28 GMT Nichola Murphy Kim Kardashian took to Instagram Stories to share several gym workouts over the weekend, which she said were motivated by the fact she has gained 18 pounds in just over a year.

Let’s face it, we have all been jealous of Kim Kardashian’s fabulous curves at some point in our life. After all, she is famous for them! The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed that she works hard to achieve her figure, posting a series of gruelling workouts to her Instagram Stories over the weekend.

Standing in the gym with her trainer Melissa Alcantara, Kim said: “Ok, so we’re doing a night workout before my dinner, which I never do, with this one, but I figured we have to get into it at some point.” The 39-year-old revealed the motivation behind her gym sessions was to return to the figure she had eighteen months ago. She explained: “And yeah, I mean, sometimes you fall off and sometimes you really gotta get it together and this is one of my fallen off times where I am, I think, 18 pounds up from what I was about a year ago, a year and a half ago.”

And her weekend workout didn’t end there. The mother-of-four was back in the gym the next morning posting a video of her in a black sports bra and matching leggings doing squats with weights, which she captioned: “Are you guys sick of my workout videos?” Kim also revealed that she has committed to doing lower body workouts three times a week – we admire her dedication.

According to the star, her exercise regime is intended to make up for her diet, which she believes is the problem. “‘It’s my eating. I work out but it’s like, my eating. But Melissa and I have a major goal for by the time I’m 40 so we’ll fill you in with what that is soon,” Kim hinted. She has only just turned 39 at the end of October, so she has around a year to achieve her goal before her 40th birthday. “You’re going to be 39 going on 21,” Melissa said, to which Kim replied: “Yes!”

And this isn’t the first time she has turned to Melissa to help her change her lifestyle. Back in April 2018, Kim credited the personal trainer for transforming her figure by eating all-natural foods and focusing on interval training with weight training to shred fat and build lean muscle. “When I wasn’t happy with what I saw back in the mirror I spent a whole year training so hard 5 or 6 days a week putting in a lot of work and changed the way that I eat and there’s such a noticeable difference,” Kim wrote. “I am firm and less cellulite and so much more confident. From her abs firmly on show for Halloween when she dressed as Elle Woods from Legally Blonde, to her promoting her figure-hugging shapewear collection SKIMS, I think it’s safe to say that she has curves to die for regardless of her new exercise regime.

If you’re a woman who feels like you’re living in a ‘fat loss world’ when all you really want to do is build some curves to your body, you’re going to need to learn how to approach your workout and diet programme.

Here are a few body-changing points that you need to know.

Go for strength training over cardio

The very first thing that you should be doing to help add more curves to your body is focusing more of your energy on strength training as opposed to cardio workouts.

While cardio training is good for heart health, it won’t change the way your body looks. Strength training is what will add curves in all the right places.

Start eating more at meal time

Next, you’ll also want to make a note to start eating a bit more food at each of your main meals. In order to fill out, you have to feed your body more calories than it burns off over the course of the day because it’s this fuel that it will use to generate lean muscle tissue with. Aim to add about 200 calories per day to your diet or 10 per cent of your total calorie intake. This is as simple as adding another serving of oatmeal in the morning and having a banana with your lunch.

Don’t neglect rest

Rest is critical to success because it’s when you’re resting that your body will be rebuilding back its broken-down muscle fibers, allowing you to get stronger. Some women overdo it with the workout side of things thinking this will help keep them leaner, but really they’re just damaging their progress in doing so.

Pick up heavier weights

If you want to see greater increases in muscle tone and definition, you need to give the body a reason to change. If you’re lifting the same weight that you’ve comfortably been using for the last three weeks, what reason are you giving it? You aren’t.

Challenge yourself — you might be surprised at what you can accomplish.

So if you want to completely change your body, adding more attractive curves and filling out your thin frame, make sure that you follow these steps to success.

For the ladies out there who are interested in improving their physique and developing a more feminine appearance, one thing that you’ll want to be sure you’re doing is performing some good cleavage-boosting exercises.

Many women make the mistake of avoiding all chest work entirely because they believe this will just cause them to develop a very muscular chest, reducing the softness of that region and decreasing the amount of cleavage they show.

This isn’t the case. The primary reason some women appear to look flat-chested after performing chest workouts is simply that they’re taking their body fat level too low, which is then causing them to lose breast tissue. As long as you maintain your body fat levels in a healthy range, you should have no problem creating the cleavage look you’re after while keeping chest workouts in the picture.

What is the perfect female body shape?

What do you think of the ladies in the above picture? Do you like them? Do you admire their current bodies? Would you believe me if I told you that this is not the ideal female body shape? No offence to these models and all the skinny ladies in the world but the fact of the matter is being skinny is not having a perfect body.

To me it looks like you are not being fed.

Although beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, I wanted to venture into the past and the present to define the perfect female body. A body shape that both Jesus and President Obama, can give a thumbs-up on. The hourglass figure.

Although the current media worships the skinny look, don’t believe that to be perfect. Some women have such gorgeous curves and still consider themselves fat.

I grew up in the era of the skinny model, and I have known many women who literally stress over their body size.

Although I may have my own definition of an Ideal body, I do however find the notion of idolizing skinny women as sad.

Another thing is, the same models that are glorified in the western media might not be glorified in other countries.

The ideal female body shape varies in different cultures.

The world and history’s perspective of the hourglass figure.

A social experiment was conducted in 2012 to determine the ideal female body measurements. They questioned 40 females and 40 males (all Caucasian) regarding this topic and used BMI (Body Mass Index) to identify the median. By the way, BMI is body mass/body height. They discovered that both sexes identified female beauty as ladies with a below 19 BMI and a fairly curvaceous body. Basically tall and skinny with a little curves.

A UK lingerie company took this research to the next level. They did the research in a larger scope with men and women of many different ages. They found that men’s taste is completely different from ladies taste. The images below show the difference.

When it comes to breasts and butt, there is also a determinant in most cultures. Scientifically speaking, big breasts and large hips determine fertility. Hips determine that a lady can easily conceive babies where as big breasts determine that she can store more milk for the baby. There has been multiple researches on the topic of breast and butt size.

A research in Georgia Gwinett College determined that curvy female bodies reward man the same way as drugs. In another research done at the University of Nebraska, they found that the larger the female assets, the longer the male stares. A study in UC Santa Barbara suggests that women with thicker butts and thighs have a reproductive advantage. Extra fat in these areas contain omega-3 fatty acids to help moms and their baby’s brain during pregnancy. In terms of history, the media has always publicized different female body shapes in different eras. A quick summary of the eras can be seen in the image below:

The ancient Greek calculated perfection based on the Golden ratio (Phi). The Golden ratio is an irrational number used to determine aesthetic proportions. It can be seen all over nature and in architecture. Plastic surgeons use phi in reconstructive surgery. Leonardo Da Vinci also saw the perfect man to fit the golden ratio based on the Vestuvian man. The truth of the matter is, regardless of time and cultures, there is a body type in which all people can recognize as attractive. People have found women to be attractive based on these aspects:

  1. Determinants of youth like large eyes and small noses.
  2. Determinants of sexual arousal and interest like redder lips, dilated pupils etc.
  3. Health determinants like good skin, fit body, long legs, etc.
  4. Determinants of fertility like breasts, hips, butt, etc.

A lady’s face is considered beautiful if it meets certain proportions and also show fertility, attraction and youth. In terms of women bodies, there is also a median for that. The known term for the ideal body shape is the hourglass shape. I talk a little about the hour glass shape on my article titled, “what is your body type.” The hourglass shape is generally identified when your shoulders are almost the same size as the hips. Adding a large bust and a nice butt is what can be considered ideal. Now different races and cultures either prefer an extreme of these qualities, or the lesser side of these qualities, but none the less as long as you have an hourglass shape, then you are considered attractive. Here are some examples of ladies with different types of the hourglass shape.

We can all agree that these three ladies have an hourglass shape. Now let’s go into detail of the measurements that determine an hourglass shape. I mentioned before that an hourglass figure is when the shoulders are relatively similar in size with the hips, but the waist is relatively smaller than both. Research and correlation with the Golden ration considers the perfect hourglass shape as:

  • What the waist measurement is equal to the height x 0.375.
  • When the bust measurement is equal to the waist x 1.5
  • When the hip measurement is equal to the bust measurement.

Note that the measurements should be in inches. As you can see, these calculations also consider height as a major determine due to proportions. For a 5 foot 4 inches lady, her perfect hourglass measurements would sum up to 36-24-36, i.e. 36″ bust, 24″ waist and 36″ hips. Note that these measurements are not portrayed in most magazine covers, and those skinny models that you see everywhere. Some of you might have the perfect hourglass shape but still feel the need to lose weight due to societies’ depiction of perfection. So what does all this mumbo jumbo amount to? Well for starters, we can all agree on what is considered the perfect female body shape, and now we can discuss on how to attain that. First let’s get a couple of facts and fundamentals out of the way.

  • In order for you to change your long term image, you need to change your life.
  • You cannot be a prisoner to society’s depiction of perfection.
  • Good exercise and diet is unavoidable when it comes to wanting a better body.
  • You have to have a long term goal and figure out how you will get there.

With that being said, a lot of ladies go about achieving ideal bodies the wrong way. They make a handful of naïve mistakes that they believe is working, but in reality it’s not. Let’s also not forget that most women are caught up between what they see in the billboards and magazines, what their husbands and boyfriends identify as ideal and what society and other people determine to be ideal. That’s a pretty crazy mix if you ask me. Society might generalize on a lot of so called, ‘Guaranteed ways to lose weight,’ and many women believe it. Some common mistakes women make are:

  • Crash dieting (Drastically cutting the amount of calories consumption.)
  • Too much cardio
  • Not using weights
  • Excessive, concentrated workouts

A lot of you may not know this, but dramatically cutting your calorie consumption is not a great long term idea. It may work great for the first couple of weeks but its very unsustainable. Meaning after a couple of months you will have to go back to normal eating habits. Unfortunately when you do that all the weight lost will be rapidly regained. When it comes to eating, you are not supposed to shock the body with a dramatic habit change. You need to start a well-structured diet that your body can be accustomed to. Juicing is one thing that I would recommend to everybody by the way. For more on good dieting, check out my article, “healthy eating.”

When it comes to cardio, it works super well for overweight individuals as it’s an exceptional way to burn calories. It may be a great way to lose weight but if you are not overweight, over doing cardio will lead the body to adapt to it, making you consume more energy and sugary foods. Ever wondered why sprinters are buff but cross country runners are skinny? Its because the body needs a lot more energy to sustain this habit. The body also begins to use oxygen and energy from the muscles to sustain this appetite. Another effect is the cortisol hormone that is produced. Cortisol uses up muscle tissue and slows down protein synthesis. Less muscle mass means a slower metabolism when the body is not active. Combine this with a lot of other effects makes it very easy to gain weight when the body is not active.

Muscle creation is also important. Not using weights at all is not a great idea. I mean you can have a great diet and a great cardio routine, but if you don’t create muscle, you will still have mostly blob underneath your skin. The only difference will be less blob. Excessive, repetitive, workouts is not a good idea neither. The body needs recovery time for the muscles to grow. You should evenly divide your workouts across a week, and make sure that in each workout, you are working hard enough. So what should be done to attain your ideal image?

Whatever you do, good dieting and exercise has to be a part of it. The new waist training trend is known to quickly get you the hourglass shape, but without dieting and exercise you will only have a demo version of the hourglass shape. Meaning it will only be temporary. However, the fact of the matter is, no workout or food out there can slim your waist the way a waist trainer does. Many celebrities swear that waist training is the key. I do agree that waist trainers/ waist cinchers are a fundamental part of quickly attaining an hourglass shape. But the same celebrities should also stress the importance of exercising and dieting. Ending off, I would like to say forget society and its depiction of perfection. Killing yourself to be skinny is not the way to go. You have seen how most man prefer curvy compared to skinny. Even men’s magazine portray the ideal lady to be different as the one in women’s magazines. Don’t let the media fool you as the trend will eventually change. There is a constant pressure for women of all ages to match the typical beauty ideals in today’s society, but really, what is the perfect body shape? This is a question that has been debated on for years and many studies have been conducted to help determine the ideal female body shape measurements and exactly what an ideal body shape is.

What is the Perfect Body Shape?

Back in 2012, a study was conducted where 40 males and 40 females were asked about this topic and used BMI (Body Mass Index) to find a median. The results indicated that both sexes identified an ideal female body as having a BMI below 19 and a curvy body. They described the perfect body shape for a female as tall and skinny, with some curves.

Culture plays a role in the body shape, especially relating to breasts and hips. Having a set of large breasts and large hips is big for fertility. The large breasts are good for storing milk for the baby, whereas the large hips determine that a woman can give birth more easily. There have been many studies conducted on the topic of breast and hips size. Some of the results indicated:

  • Curvy female bodies play the same role as drugs do on men
  • The larger the female assets, the longer the time men stare
  • Women with larger hips and thighs have a reproductive advantage
  • Having extra fat in these areas helps generate omega-3 fatty acids that assist with brain function during pregnancy.

Along with culture, a good body shape is determined by attraction. Many studies have determined that these aspects are the ones that label a woman as having the perfect body shape:

  1. Good skin, long legs, fit body
  2. Large breasts, curvy hips, round butt
  3. Large eyes and small nose
  4. Dilated pupils and redder lips

There are four terms used to describe the shape of a woman’s body: a pear, apple, banana, or hourglass. A pear shape body describes a smaller figure at the top that goes down into a set of wide hips and full legs curving down to the knee. An apple shape body describes a body that is “top heavy,” meaning a wide torso, broad shoulders, and thinner on the bottom. A banana body type is for those women who have shoulders and waist about the same width with wide hips that are not noticeable. Lastly, an hourglass shaped body is characterized by a pair of larger thighs, bigger hips, and a smaller waist.

Based on various studies, the ideal body shape is the hourglass type body shape. The amount of these qualities vary between culture and race, but as long as you hold an hourglass shape, then you have an ideal body shape. An hourglass shape has the following qualities:

  • Shoulders smaller than the hips
  • Small waist
  • The hip measurement is equal to the bust measurement
  • The bust measurement is equal to the waist x 1.5
  • The waist measurement is equal to the height x 0.375

How to get a hot curvy body like Beyonce?

Many women may have a perfect hourglass shape body yet still feel the need to lose weight and change their shape. So how do you attain this? Well to start, you have to make a life change, including diet and exercise. Wearing shapewear or a waist cincher can really make you look five to ten, even fifteen pounds lighter. Eating the proper foods and getting the proper amount of nutrients is extremely important, along with exercise. Avoid crash dieting and excessive workouts. These won’t help you. Most times women go about achieving the ideal body image in the wrong way. Do not get caught up in the ideal body image seen on billboards and in magazines. Every woman’s body is perfect in its own way.

Let us discuss what is considered the perfect female body shape and how to attain that to be best women figure. First, let’s first understand some facts and some basic principles.

  • Change your life if you want to change your long-term image.
  • You can’t be a prisoner to society’s depiction of perfection.
  • Waist training workout and diet are inevitable when you want a better body.
  • You must set a long-term goal to figure out how you will get there.

What is the mistake women make?

Many women achieve the ideal body in the wrong way and even make simple mistakes that are considered useful. Most women like to believe what they see on billboards and magazines, or what the society thinks is ideal such as society promote so-called “guaranteed methods for weight loss.” Common mistakes made by women include:

  • Crash dieting (Drastically reducing calorie consumption.)
  • Too much cardio exercise
  • Do not use weight
  • Excessive concentration exercise

Many people may not know that drastically reduce your calorie consumption is not the best idea for the long-term. Although it may work well in the last few weeks but not sustainable which means that you will resume back regular eating habits in a few months. Not use weights at all is not a good idea since muscle creation is essential. You should have a good diet and a great cardio routine. But excessive workouts is not a good idea neither due to body needs recovery time for the muscles to grow. Therefore, you should proper distribute your exercise evenly throughout the week and make sure you every workout hard.


You should forget society and its depiction of ideal body measurements. The research above has been shown most men favor curvy compared to skinny. We have seen that women’s magazine portray the ideal female to be different as the one in men’s magazines. Also, don’t let the media fool you because the perfect female body shape trend will eventually change.

Humans are, scientifically speaking, the ape species most obsessed with sex (narrowly edging out our close relatives the bonobos, who’ve also been known to get pretty freaky). We’ve also evolved to have more visual erotic triggers on our bodies than any other primate. This includes having fuller lips, bigger penises (in males), more prominent breasts (in females) and scattered tufts of pubic hair to signal all the bits we should be looking at.

But why is it that some male humans zoom in further on that sexual obsession, becoming fixated on specific, isolated female body parts? What makes one Homo sapiens define himself as a “boob man” while another will testify to being way more fascinated by a woman’s butt, while a third specimen isn’t seeing anything but her legs? To find out, let’s take a look at each type of guy in turn.

The Boob Man

Although the media has focused increasingly on butts in recent years, boob men are still the largest group of body-part worshippers. But even after decades of debate, scientists haven’t reached a consensus as to why it is guys really dig breasts. “The most likely explanation is that women’s breasts develop as they reach adulthood, and so larger breasts signify that a woman is likely to be fertile,” says Robert Burriss, an evolutionary psychologist at Basel University, Switzerland, who hosts the monthly Psychology of Attractiveness podcast. Mammary glands in human females have evolved to be far more prominent than in other primate species. This development, Burriss suggests, was caused by thousands of generations of men preferring more noticeable breasts.

In spite of the cliche, however, this doesn’t necessarily mean that bigger is better. As Burriss points out, “Research on breast-size preferences is mixed.” Some investigations have suggested that men are more attracted to smaller cup sizes than the management at Hooters would have you believe: One such study, conducted in 2006 at University College London, asked 114 students to rate women’s profiles in silhouette and found “an overall preference for small breasts,” concluding that breast size was among the “minor cues of female physical attractiveness.”

So what are men looking for?

According to some earlier research, it may be symmetry, rather than bulk, that’s the real aesthetic driving male boob preferences. “Choosy males that prefer females with symmetrical breasts may experience a direct fitness benefit in terms of increased fecundity , and an indirect benefit in terms of attractive or fecund daughters,” researchers from Denmark, Spain and New Mexico wrote in a 1995 paper.

Let’s put that in less creepy terms: Having either sexier or more fertile daughters results in their hottest mate-attracting features being passed down to more and more women through subsequent generations. What you end up with is the evolution of the perfectly balanced boob, all driven by the same unconscious desire that informs most men’s actions: The need to make sure their DNA is carried as far into the future as possible. By choosing a mate with near-objectively attractive features — in this case, symmetrical breasts — they’re improving the chances of their offspring also being attractive, and passing on the genes once again.

It’s the perfectly symmetrical circle of life.

The Butt Man

The science is even less conclusive on what’s going on in the mind of a derrière dude, although there are a number of theories. One speculative notion, popularized in Desmond Morris’s 1967 book The Naked Ape, is that the appeal of a curvy backside goes back to a time in our evolutionary history before face-to-face sex became standard — back when our female ancestors’ sexual signaling was optimized for rear mounting (i.e., doggy style). Butt men find butts hot, essentially, because that’s what our ancestors were looking at as they approached their mates for sexy-times.

Burriss, on the other hand, points to the way fat is distributed in the female body as the likely source of rear-end appeal: “Women who are most fertile tend to have a waist-to-hip ratio of around 0.7 . This explains why the ‘hourglass figure’ is so attractive to men.”

But is it just the implications of fertility that makes some men so attracted to those hips? There is evidence that ass appreciation isn’t always innate — it can be influenced by the society you grow up in. Eye-tracking research from the University of Buenos Aires from 2012 seemed to confirm the legendary reputation Argentinian men have for being obsessed by women’s posteriors: In the experiments, 59 percent of the men who took part preferred booty to boobies — a far higher number than in similar tests in other countries, where breasts are almost always preferred. This suggests that in Argentinian heterosexual society, the preference for butts is, at least in part, determined by cultural norms: Basically, they look longer and more longingly at butts because that’s what every other man around them does.

The Leg Man

As to why some men are into legs, the psychologists are pretty much stumped. So instead, we turned to a true lower-limb connoisseur for insight, Jason Timson, a London-based photo editor who has worked for men’s magazines such as Maxim and various celebrity image libraries, to unpack his personal love of legs: “Long legs are best, but proportion is key — Kylie Minogue, for example. Well-toned calves emphasized by a high heel are a winner in my eyes.”

It may, indeed, be the high heel that’s the most important part. While Burriss doesn’t see — from a psychological perspective — women’s legs as a particularly important cue to their overall attractiveness, he says there’s research that shows slipping on high heels will make the same woman around 20 percent more attractive in men’s eyes. He adds, “A field study in France showed that when a 19-year-old woman dropped a glove on the street, 62 percent of male pedestrians stopped to pick it up when the woman wore flats, but 93 percent did when she wore heels.”

It seems the leg man is entranced not so much by the length of the calf and thigh on display, but by the sway of their owner’s gait: “Men and women walk differently, with women more likely to rotate their hips and take shorter strides,” explains Burriss. Since heels exaggerate this style, “women who wear high heels may be perceived as more feminine.”

The Whole Package

From an evolutionary point of view, leg men appear to be seeking out maximum femininity, while butt and breast men are responding to competing sets of fertility cues. But is there anything that these three distinct breeds have in common? Burriss believes so, explaining that men on the hunt for a casual hookup will likely focus more on the body, “as the body is a better signal of fertility than the face.” Those seeking long-term relationships, meanwhile, tend to also value “other traits such as personality, attitudes, etc.,” says Burriss — possibly because they’re thinking a bit more rationally about what life will be like with that partner on an ongoing basis.

What evolutionary psychology seems to be telling us is that, when it comes to a serious relationship, faces and personalities really do matter. For a quick fling, though, it’s all about the T&A(&L).

Does being into a certain part (and size) of your anatomy say something about the guy you’re dating? I think it might, but proving it requires your help.

Let’s be real: There are women who favor men’s chests, women who like men’s butts the most, and those who like… I mean, you know. And these women, generally speaking, are very different kinds of people. Obviously you can enjoy all three, but usually one body part juuuust barely wins out over the other. I’m into broad shoulders, myself. And so, while there’s no concrete evidence on the subject, a guy’s choice anatomical favorite on a lady has gotta say something about his personality.

Say, for instance, you’re dating a guy who’s really into legs. I would assume that it meant he was somewhat old-fashioned, since long gams are one of the classical, glamour-girls-in-’40s-movies indicators of female beauty. But the down side of this guy might be that he’s somewhat shy and passive, forcing you to usually make the first move.

Lately I’ve been hearing that certain guys actually prefer smaller__breasts__–specifically, the ones who like tall, almost boyish-shaped ladies. Usually these guys tend to be on the athletic side, but into cardio-based sports like soccer and running. (This is all from my personal experience, mind you.) Also, it is an essential fact that while both big and small boobs are awesome, dating a guy who’s always talking about “your awesome rack” to his friends is rarely a good idea.

And in terms of butts… fail. This is a blind spot for me, both literally and figuratively. I think mine is probably flat and unexceptional. Any of you ladies whose dudes are crazy about your rear ends, weigh in below, please!

We compared our measurements to Kim’s to see what it looks like on ‘real’ people, and it was ridiculous

It’s hard to conceptualize a celebrity. Pretty often, I’ll go to concerts and be so fucking blown away that a famous person is standing right there in front of me, in flesh and blood. Not because they’re “famous” or whatever. But because I’ve only seen them in pictures for so long.

I’ve always wondered how big the Kardashians are really. Like you can show me what Kim looks like and you can throw me some numbers, but what do those really mean? Like, I need to know what she looks like for real. Partially for science, and partially for my self-esteem.

I figured it would be fun to conduct a little experiment to figure out what Kim K. really looks like compared to normal-ass people. You know, instead of the doors or other measuring sticks I’ve tried to compare her to in her Instagram posts. I mean, Kim is a total sex icon. And of course her body is unattainable. But just how unattainable is it? Is she really that hot? How tiny is she compared to the average girl? How big are her tits?

I asked my co-workers to let me take their measurements, then compared them to Kim. As the last step, I decided to photoshop Kim’s dimensions on them.

Of course, it looked fucking ridiculous.

Oh, and as a note to our faithful readers, we’re operating under the assumption that the measurements she’s given us are real and this is her god-given body.

Syra is the only one in the office to have a Kim K waist. But she needs some wider hips, bigger tits, and shorter legs to look like the Kardashian.

Basically, we found out we could build Kim’s body with Caroline’s height, Syra’s waist and Eleni’s hips. But really, that would look… INSANE.

I thought I would feel a little bit better about how Kim’s body after this. I figured it would answer so many questions. Like, oh! She’s just really tiny and has a big ass and that’s why she’s so famous for it. But her proportions are truly out of this world. How is it possible to weigh 120 and have a 42″ ass and D-cup tits? How is it possible to have a 15″ difference between your waist and your butt?

I guess that’s what makes Kim a sex icon. You literally won’t find that anywhere else. Except, like, maybe with her sister, Kylie. Looks like I have another article to write.
