How Cameron Diaz Got in “Sex Tape” Shape

Getty Images

When it comes to amazing bodies in Hollywood, Cameron Diaz might just be at the top of the list. From her arms to her abs to her legs it’s no surprise she seriously sizzles on the big screen in her new film, Sex Tape, in theaters today. And, as you’d expect from the title, she bares all (and pulls off some crazy sex positions).

The 41-year-old blonde bombshell enjoys staying fit. “I don’t look at exercise as a chore,” Diaz has said. “I look at it as something I get to do. I am grateful that I can move my body in that way.”

She’s a long-time client of powerhouse celeb trainer Teddy Bass, who puts her to work with intervals on the treadmill, lunges with rows, squats, mountain climbers, pushups, and planks, just to name a few. We went one-on-one with the workout guru, who also whips Christina Applegate and Lucy Liu into shape, to steal some of his secrets to a great figure, clothed or naked.

RELATED: Cameron Diaz’s Awesome Arms Workout

Shape: What’s your training philosophy?

Teddy Bass (TB): I combine dance, Pilates, weights, and athletic cardio for an enthusiastic core-centered workout. I like to keep things varied because that’s what our bodies respond to.

Shape: Cameron is in phenomenal shape, especially her arms! What are some of your favorite moves for awesome arms?

TB: I hate saying this, but the reality is, no one can get out of a narrow-grip pushup or a dip. If you don’t have dumbbells or weights, you can grab two soup cans and do triceps kickbacks. Cameron is highly genetically gifted without a doubt, but it’s her lifestyle choices of being so active and physical, with everything from snowboarding to surfing, that keep her so fit. She’s constantly using her entire body with whatever she does.

Shape: What other tips can you suggest to be the best when it comes to fitness?

TB: Always use your full range of motion and be sure to add flexibility to your exercises. Pilates is incredible for women who are shorter-fibered because of this. Get bands and do leg extensions, and really feel the length of your leg.

Check out this mini-workout that Bass uses with Diaz. This routine combines strength training and cardio to torch calories and transform your body. It will also help build a solid foundation by strengthening the hip flexors and lower back.

How it works: Warm up for 5 to 10 minutes an elliptical. Do each move in order.

You will need: Medicine ball, ball, mat, dumbbells, bench

Squat Press with Medicine Ball

Stand with feet slightly wider than shoulder width and turned out a bit. Hold a medicine ball with both hands at chest height. Keeping body weight in heels and back straight, lower into a deep squat position until elbows touch knees. Push through heels to stand and press ball directly overhead. Do 10 to 12 reps.

Forearm Plank

Lie on the floor with elbows directly beneath shoulders and legs fully extended. Raise torso into the air until it makes a straight line from shoulders to ankles. Tighten stomach, squeeze butt, and hold for 60 seconds.

Bridge with a ball between knees

Lie faceup with legs bent and feet on the floor. Place a soft ball between knees and squeeze it. Push hips up using hamstrings and glutes. Hold for 3 to 5 seconds, then lower to starting position. Do 20 to 50 reps.

Pushup

Get in plank position with feet together, hands slightly wider than shoulders. Bend elbows and lower body until chest is just above the floor (avoid letting hips sag or lift). Press back up as quickly as possible. Do 10 reps. (Related: I Did 100 Push-Ups Every Day for Over a Year.)

Mountain Climber

Get in pushup position with arms completely straight and directly beneath shoulders. Body should form a straight line from shoulders to ankles. Squeeze abs, lift right foot off the floor, and bring right knee up toward chest while keeping body in as straight of a line as possible. Return to starting position and repeat with left foot. Do 40 reps, alternating feet each rep.

Dumbbell Row

Hold a dumbbell in right hand. Place left hand and left knee on a flat bench. Without rounding lower back, keep it naturally arched with torso parallel to the floor. Let the dumbbell hang at arm’s length from shoulders. On exhale, pull dumbbell to side of torso, keeping elbow close to body. Lower to starting position on inhale. Do 12 to 15 reps, then switch sides to complete set.

Single-Leg Biceps Curl

Grab a pair of dumbbells, stand up straight with a braced core. Allow the dumbbells to hang at arms’ length with palms facing outward. Lift right foot behind you so leg is parallel to the floor. Without moving upper arms, bend elbows and curl the dumbbells as close to shoulders as possible. Pause for a second and slowly allow the weights to return to starting position with arms fully extended. Do 10 reps, then switch legs to complete set.

Side Lunge to Curtsy

Hold a dumbbell in right hand, standing tall with feet shoulder-width apart. Arms should be fully extended with dumbbell resting in front of thigh. Take a wide step to the left, bringing right hand to left foot and lowering body by pushing hip back and bending left knee. Keep right leg straight and foot firmly planted. Pause when left thigh is parallel with the ground, and then push back to starting position and cross left leg behind right as you press dumbbell overhead. Return to starting position. Do 12 reps, then switch hands and legs to complete set.

Side Plank

Lie on right side with legs straight. Prop upper body up on right elbow and forearm. Raise hips until body forms a straight line from ankles to shoulders. Hold for 30 seconds, then switch sides to complete set.

What Cameron Diaz Eats in a Day to Age Gracefully

Photo: JB Lacroix/Getty Images

Cameron Diaz will be the first to tell you she couldn’t have cared less about healthy eating in her younger years; she even admitted that she’s reformed fast food junkie who has come a long way from her daily trips to Taco Bell for three bean-and-cheese burritos and nachos with extra cheese. Her intense years of research for both of her books-The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Body and The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time have taught her a thing or two about what it means to nourish your body for optimal health.

“Good nutrition can extend life,” Diaz writes in The Longevity Book. “What we eat affects how long we live and how we feel every day we are alive.”

Diaz now adheres to a Mediterranean-style diet, emphasizing produce, whole grains, good fats and healthy proteins (think chicken over beef most days), but she also strongly believes in enjoying life’s indulgences with good company. Here’s how Diaz eats to fuel her workouts, stay svelte and age gracefully!

Breakfast

Diaz chugs a bottle of water first thing in the morning. She told Marie Claire that she fills up a big glass water bottle before bed and leaves it on her bathroom counter so she can chug it as soon as she brushes her teeth. She says this is important for rehydrating the body after eight hours without any fluids.

You probably won’t hear the coffee maker go off in Cameron’s house. She sticks pretty tightly to water, occasionally mixing things up with some tea. Now, here’s the good part-Cameron Diaz eats *two* breakfasts in the morning! Granted, that’s mostly because she genuinely loves the gym and chooses to start her day with a morning sweat session, but we’re still here for it.

Diaz reaches for something light but protein-rich, like an apple with almond butter, some overnight oats or scrambled eggs to help her power through her workout. She jokes that she basically eats dinner for breakfast post-workout, and opts for something like chicken, grains and either steamed or sauteed veggies. I personally prefer breakfast for dinner over dinner for breakfast, but to each her own.

Lunch

Diaz has a pretty simple formula for her meals: protein + carbs + good fats + leafy greens. If eating by that formula equals me aging like Cameron Diaz, I’m about to understand the value of math for the first time in my life.

Diaz also believes everything tastes better with a squeeze of lemon (Queer Eye’s Antoni Porowski thinks so, too!). Whether it’s a big lunch salad or a marinade for chicken, she says lemon, garlic, olive oil and salt can make anything taste good. Diaz has a green thumb, so we’re sure she loves serving up garden-fresh veggies and herbs in these dishes.

Snacks

Diaz isn’t much of a snacker and prefers to fill up at mealtime. If she does snack, she will make a plate of grains with veggies, chicken stock, lemon and garlic. She’s also a huge advocate for eating for better gut health and drinks her probiotics in a rice-based probiotic drink.

Dinner

When asked if she could eat one meal for the rest of her life, Diaz answered with a savory protein-rich dish with avocado. This girl is not a fan of sweets and her diet certainly reflects that. She tends to stick to her healthy eating equation at dinner as well, noting her famous lamb chops are one of the reasons her husband, Benji Madden, loves her.

Dining Out

Image zoom

Pictured recipe: Banh Mi Vietnamese Sandwiches

While Diaz admits to staying pretty reigned-in at home, she’s more of a free spirit when dining out with friends.

“I don’t eat pork belly when I’m home by myself, but when I’m at a restaurant with a friend? That’s another story,” Diaz told Bon Appetit. “I’m just loving the moment with my friend and it’s feeding my soul in a different way.”

Just don’t ask her to dinner on a Sunday night! That is her weekly meal prep time, and it’s sacred to her. This weekly ritual helps her stay nourished all week long without spending hours in the kitchen every day.

The Bottom Line

Diaz would probably think we were doing a disservice if we left her anti-aging habits at the way she eats. Diaz’s longevity book mentions five pillars of aging gracefully: good nutrition, good sleep, good physical activity throughout the day, finding healthy ways to release stress and finding a connection or purpose in life.

We can all agree that Diaz’s diet is certainly healthy and she’s eating in a way that will nourish her body for years to come. However, everyone has different food preferences, rituals, times of day they like to eat and nutritional needs. It’s important to remember that there’s no need to abandon your own diet to eat exactly like a celebrity, trainer or nutritionist to look more like them.

I’m not sure about you, but I need some sweets in my life! There are some great takeaways from Diaz’s diet-such as her meal-building formula and finding freedom to enjoy an indulgence with loved ones-but I’m still going to enjoy my favorite smoothie bowls in the morning and an occasional ooey-gooey chocolate chip cookie.

If you had to pick one meal or one food to only eat for the rest of your life, what would it be?

NOT FAIR! I could never do choose….but a meal of savory protein of some sort with an avocado would be a frontrunner.

Try these NS avocado recipe favorites: Avocado Boats, Dark Chocolate Avocado Mousse, and good ole’ #avocadotoast on GF Walnut Bread

You’re an advocate for healthy living and exercising flexibility when it comes to nutrition and working out; when was a time where you weren’t focused on nourishing your body? How did you overcome that?

Yes, I think we should all subscribe to the same philosophy that you and I share, that every body is different, and we need to listen to our bodies in order to nourish them. When I was younger I didn’t quite understand the equation, because I hadn’t yet collected the information. As soon as I started learning about the concept of being connected to my own body, that all changed. I started listening to people who knew about the science of the body.

First thing upon waking: water, water, water
Morning, Lunch, Dinner (and even snacks): Basically, every time I eat, I eat lean protein, some carbs and good fats for energy, and something leafy and green for nutrients and fiber—I’m not really a snacker, potentially as a result of getting everything I need at each meal?

Cameron Diaz and Jason Segel on ‘Sex Tape,’ Awkward Sexual Positions, and High-Fiving in Bed

In Hollywood, land of the nip and tuck, photoshopping, and body doubles, you’d be hard-pressed to find a pair of actors as gleefully uninhibited as Jason Segel and Cameron Diaz. Segel, of course, famously—and hilariously—bared all (soul, schlong, etc.) in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, while Diaz has never been one to shy away from showing some skin onscreen, and even penned a tome, The Body Book, about her insane fitness routine.

“We just don’t have any shame and it’s really hard for us to embarrass ourselves,” Diaz says of the duo. “We both have a very high tolerance when it comes to exposing ourselves for the sake of comedy.”

And they do plenty of that in Sex Tape. Reuniting with Jake Kasdan, who helmed their 2011 comedy hit Bad Teacher, the pair play Annie and Jay—a married couple with young kids who, in an attempt to inject some spice in their nonexistent sex life, decide to film a wild-and-wacky three-hour sex tape. Unfortunately for them, the private video leaks when Jay accidentally uploads it to the mysterious cloud, setting off a bizarre series of events in order to wipe it from the web.

The Daily Beast spoke to Diaz and Segel about sex and…other stuff.

Did you guys notice how good your chemistry was on Bad Teacher and want to hook up again?

Diaz: Yeah!!

Segel: I was really excited about the idea. When we got the script and then Jake came on to direct, it was a no-brainer for us to hope that Cameron would want to do it. It ended up being just really fun. Cameron and I didn’t know each other too well on Bad Teacher, but it was very fun to have this deeper experience with her.

Diaz: When you work with someone, that’s what you’re hoping—that they’ll set the bar high for you to reach, and that’s what Jason did every day on this film, and we all had to bring our A-game and be ready for anything. Jason is fearless, so you never know what it’s going to be.

Not to be too kiss-assy, but you two do look even better in this movie than you did in Bad Teacher, which was what…three years ago? Are you drinking the blood of the innocent? What’s going on over there?

Diaz: Just pay attention to the body and the machine that you’ve been given to…move through life in.

Segel: Cameron has a book called The Body Book, which really detailed her strategy, which is to stay healthy every day as a way of life. But once I hit 30, I realized that I was going to be with this body for a long, long time, hopefully—if I took care of myself—so I made some life choices to be in better shape. There’s no real mystery to any of it, but it was just eating healthy and exercising. It’s the late-night meals. I used to eat the midnight pizza all the time. No more.

The film really deals with the combination of how one’s sexual appetite diminishes as one gets older, as well as real-life responsibilities getting in the way of one’s sex life. How do you two manage to maintain a healthy sex life while being as busy as you are professionally?

Diaz: Are you really asking us that question? Are you asking us personally how we do that?

I’m just curious how each of you manages to maintain a healthy sex life while being so busy professionally, always traveling off to different parts of the world for months at a time and being on sets.

Diaz: How do you do it? How do you do it?

Segel: I think the message of the movie is that it’s important for a couple to remind each other every day that they made a choice to be together, and it’s not some deal you made 10 years ago; it’s a decision you make daily.

Diaz: And to communicate your needs to one another!

There’s a fun montage of really crazy sex scenes that you two do in the film that incorporates I think every position imaginable—and a few a lot of people will see for the first time. What was the craziest or most difficult one to pull off?

Segel: We started by using The Joy of Sex as our guidebook, and then we realized that we had to fill three hours of a sex tape and make it seem as uncomfortable and funny as possible.

Diaz: We added some salami!

There’s even a Viking helmet with a beard attached in one of ’em. Whose idea was that?

Diaz: The Viking helmet! There was a pile of props and we just found the ones that delighted us the most.

Segel: We devoted about a week to all of the sex scenes combined, because we thought it’d be a good idea to bunch those all together, get them out of the way, and get in the right mentality, and then focus on the rest of the film.

Cameron, there’s one part of the sex montage where your character literally does a backflip onto Jason’s penis. I’m assuming that was a body-double?

Segel: That was actually the easiest day for you!

Diaz: That was Cirque du Soleil. The hardest day for me was when I did the body doubling for Jason’s headstand. That was a really tough day for me. A lot of prosthetics.

What was the most awkward scene for you two to shoot? Like you said, you’d only shared a few scenes together on Bad Teacher and here, had to get very intimate with one another.

Segel: It wasn’t particularly awkward for either of us. We both went into it with the mentality of being as funny as possible, so we really felt like teammates. As Cameron says, it was a locker room vibe.

Diaz: A lot of high-fiving.

There’s a scene in the movie where Jason’s character high-fives you in bed. Would you be mortified if someone did that to you in real life?

Diaz: Hell no, muthafucka. Shit! Give me a high-five!

Segel: Can you print that? Can you print, “Hell no, muthafucka. Shit!?”

We can definitely print that. Have either of you ever made a sex tape?

Diaz: I’m so happy you asked that question, because now I get to reveal!

What do you think drives people to even feel the need to make a sex tape?

Diaz: I can’t speak for people, but I think this movie is a cautionary tale to not do it—that today’s technology is very new still, and if you can think of all the things that our technology fails us in on a daily basis, I don’t think it’s such a good idea to put something so private out there due to the fear that it might get out, as it has for the characters in this movie.

Segel: Their mistake isn’t making the sex tape; their mistake is letting it get out there. Behind closed doors, our message is that a loving couple should be able to do whatever they want to make themselves feel sexy, but the Cloud is our mysterious antagonist. I don’t know. It’s just too much of a mystery to trust.

Are there particular apps that you find grating? Whether it’s Snapchat, Vine, or the swipe-dating site Tinder? There are so many apps these days it’s absurd.

Diaz: There’s an app for every part of your life—even parts that don’t exist—so I think it’s one of those things where if they work, great. I love checking my period on Period Tracker. It makes my life so much easier.

Segel:

That’s an actual app?

Diaz: Yeah! Every girl uses Period Tracker. Other than that, I’m not sure.

Was the casting of Rob Lowe in the film paying homage to his being one of the first big-time celebs to be embroiled in a celebrity sex tape scandal?

Diaz: I had forgotten that he had done a sex tape. You know, I really had forgot.

Segel: Our goal when casting the movie was to hire the funniest people we could get, and we felt really lucky to get Rob Lowe. Number one, he’s like the best-looking guy on Earth, and number two, he’s capable of being as funny as anyone I’ve ever seen.

Jason, you’re in an upcoming film that looks really exciting—playing the late author David Foster Wallace in The End of the Tour. What was it like playing him, and what’s going on with the Wallace estate disowning the movie?

Segel: Well, I can only speak to the first part of the question. It was a real challenge, and my biggest goal was to be as respectful, truthful, and honest as possible about a man whose work meant a lot to so many people, including myself. It was scary in that I know the way that people feel about him and his work, and I know the way that I feel about it, so it was important for me to communicate it as well as I could with as much respect as I could.

And Cameron, your Miss Hannigan looks pretty wild in Annie. Did you conceive of that look yourself, and how did you arrive at that look?

Diaz: Yeah, and it was really fun. That was due to the efforts of all the talented hair, makeup, and wardrobe people that I get to work with. It was a collaboration, and we just had a really fun time bringing the concept of her to life. I loved playing her and I love the movie. The movie is really sweet.

The only time many people have seen you sing on film is when your character had to be intentionally bad at karaoke in that great scene in My Best Friend’s Wedding. How was the singing for you on Annie?

Diaz: I tried to intentionally be good on this one, but I don’t know how it’ll turn out!

Cardi B Addresses Nude Video Leak & Offset Sex Tape Joke: ‘I’m Just Going to Make Things Positive’

Cardi B refuses to let anyone kill her vibe going into 2018. Despite having a rocky holiday weekend that consisted of fiancé Offset’s iCloud being hacked and the couple later being subjected to criticism because of their raunchy Instagram Live stunt, Cardi is walking into the new year with a sense of optimism.

“I’m just going to make things positive out of a bad situation,” she tweeted Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 26).

After unleashing her second single “Bartier Cardi” featuring 21 Savage last Friday (Dec. 22), Cardi’s day quickly spiraled. First, a racy video displaying her dancing nude leaked online. Vexed by the leak to what was considered “a preview” for a forthcoming a sex tape, Cardi responded on Twitter.

“People keep posting the nude videos of me like if i wasn’t a stripper before,” she tweeted on Christmas (Dec. 25). “You know there’s videos of me stripping with my titties & ass out on YouTube already right ?anyways i know i know i got a nice body right.”

On Monday, Cardi and Offset shrugged off the recent fiasco and toyed with their fans on Instagram. Though they were being playful and dry-humping each other, the hip-hop couple were accused of having sex on Instagram Live.

“I was fully clothes on live, I was not f–king on live! Yaaa can’t be that slow!” responded Cardi on her Insta-Story. Later, she echoed her frustrations on Twitter.

“If anybody watch the live from last night they can see from beginning to end that i was talking then this guy came behind me and started fake dry humping me ‘Jesus Christ we Both had pants on !!,” she wrote.

Take a look at Cardi’s tweets below.

How to Make A Sex Tape So Good You Hope It Leaks

By ASTROGLIDE Team Sexual Health

Maybe you’ve thought about it or maybe your partner has been hinting around. It sounds like fun and you’re definitely down to spice things up, but you have some concerns.

What if your private moment is made public? What if you hate the video? What if you look weird and it feels awkward? You’ve got some moves, but you’re not a porn star, after all. Can a regular person really make a sex tape that’s worth watching, even if it’s just to share with your partner?

There are a few important things to consider, but it’s absolutely possible to make a sex tape that you enjoy with relatively little risk to your personal privacy.

If you want to make sure that your experience is sexy and fun for both you and your partner, check out these 7 tips:

1. Set Some Ground Rules

Before you start talking about the particulars of sex positions and mood lighting, you and your partner need to have a serious conversation to set some ground rules. There are lots of things to consider before making a sex tape and getting on the same page with your partner will ensure that the experience is enjoyable for both of you.

There are some basic things that you should talk about. What are you hoping to get out of making a sex tape? Is this sex tape for your own private enjoyment or is this something that you would be open to sharing with others? Who will be in control of the sex tape when it’s finished and where will it be kept? Are you both open to showing your faces on the sex tape or is it important to you that your face be obscured? All of these questions require careful consideration.

Sex tapes may not be as taboo as they once were, but having your sex tape fall into the wrong hands can still have some serious consequences.

Even if you’re at a point in your life right now where your job and family situations are such that the fallout from a sex tape leak would be minimal, consider that this might not always be the case. Once something hits the Internet there is no real way to ever get it back — and it can be floating around for years.

No matter how much you trust your partner, insist on taking measures to protect your privacy and your own personal boundaries. If your partner truly respects you, he or she will have no problem complying with your wishes and making sure that you feel comfortable.

2. Set the Mood

Once you’ve gotten the details ironed out, it’s time to set the mood. If you’re going to take the time to make a sex tape, you’re going to want it to look good when you’re done.

Luckily, you don’t need a Hollywood set to make a sex tape that’s visually pleasing. There are a few little things that you can do to make sure that you and your film look your best.

First, consider where you want to film. Filming in your bedroom is the easiest and most obvious choice, but don’t be afraid to experiment with other spots around your house.

Try hopping up on a sturdy desk or table, using a stairwell to facilitate some more adventurous positions or heading out to a secluded backyard or patio. The novelty of getting it on somewhere you normally wouldn’t will only add to the excitement of making your sex tape.

Once you find a spot, take a minute to stage the area. Remember that the camera sees everything and the last thing you want to see in the frame of your steamy sex tape is your dirty socks or old take out containers. Remove anything from the area that could be a mood killer and you’re halfway to creating the perfect ambiance.

3. Get Your Lighting on Point

Once you’ve got your location set and staged, getting great lighting is the final step in creating a sexy mood for your sex tape.

Just like most of us cringe when we hear a recording of our voice, seeing yourself doing the deed on film can be a little jarring at first for even the most confident person. Avoiding harsh, direct lighting is the best way to ensure that your sex tape leaves you feeling sexy instead of uncomfortable.

There are a few easy ways to create soft light in your space before filming. If you’re really dedicated and somewhat handy, you can install a dimmer switch on lighting anywhere in your house in an hour or less by following an online tutorial like this one from Home Depot. It takes a little extra work, but this quick modification really enhances a room and is something you can enjoy long after your sex tape romp is over.

If you’re not excited about the idea of breaking out your tool box, you can also modify the lighting in your room by draping a sheer scarf over a lamp shade or switching out your regular bulbs for some colored ones to create a softer glow.

Colored light in the yellow and orange range are the most flattering to your skin and can even mask minor scars and blemishes, so keep that in mind while you’re doing your set up. Supplementing your lighting with candles is another great way to add some soft yellow light as well as some romantic ambiance.

Whatever you decide, remember not to skimp on the lighting. You want the lighting to be soft, but that doesn’t mean that you want it to be dim. You’re making a sex tape because you want to see the action, so make sure that you and your partner aren’t hiding in the shadows.

4. Make a Plan

You don’t need to write a script, but filming your sex tape will go a lot more smoothly if you and your partner are on the same page about the logistics.

You don’t want your steamy sex scene to look like a blooper reel, so take a few minutes to think about the things that could go wrong and plan accordingly.

Choose a time and place to record that ensures you won’t be interrupted. Set your phones and electronic devices on silent. Make sure that pets are outside or safely closed off in another part of the house. Make sure that any furniture that you are going to be using is sturdy and secure. Prepare any props, sex toys, and the best lubricant for your particular scene and place them nearby so they are ready to go.

Also consider the sex positions that you would like to use and the ones that you might want to avoid.

Some sex positions have more of a learning curve than others, so be aware that while trying something new can be fun, it could potentially lead to some awkward moments. Also consider how the various sex positions you might utilize will look relative to where your camera is set up. Some angles are more flattering than others, so consider which sex positions show the things you want to show and stick to those.

5. Get Comfortable

Filming your first sex tape can make anyone feel a little nervous, so take some time to relax together before you get started.

Kissing, sharing a glass of wine, and giving each other a sexy massage are all great ways to get you both feeling calm and connected before you start filming. The more time you spend stoking the embers, the hotter your sex tape will be — so take your time.

It’s important to not let nerves ruin the experience for you. It’s normal to feel a little self-conscious at first. You might be feeling insecure about your body or be afraid that you’ll make weird noises. Just remember that those feelings are really common and that they don’t reflect the reality of who you are.

After all, your partner finds you so alluring in bed that he or she wants to film a sex tape with you. Your partner wants nothing more than to see you and hear you and share this experience with you, so there is really nothing to be self-conscious about. Let loose and enjoy yourself.

6. Break Out the Lube

Once you get started with filming your sex tape, you’ll want to be sure that you have the best lubricant for you on standby.

7. Focus on Pleasure

Living in the age of the Internet, porn is everywhere.

Even if porn isn’t your particular cup of tea, you’ve doubtless been exposed to a fair amount of it. The problem with porn, though it can be entertaining, is that it can set some pretty unrealistic expectations about sex. Porn features sex positions, body types, and sexual scenarios that are rarely a fair representation of the average person’s sex life.

Have you ever tried a crazy sex position that looked hot in a porn video and been left wondering how or why anyone would ever want to do that?

Many of the sex positions used in porn are used because they’re visually appealing, but in reality, the actors are being paid to make you believe that it feels as good as it looks. That’s show business. A scene that looks like it took half an hour was likely filmed over multiple hours, if not days. You may see a perfectly executed scene, but that’s only because all the awkward transitions, failed sex positions, and embarrassing bodily noises ended up on the cutting room floor.

The point is that there is a reason that people get paid to do porn — because it’s not necessarily fun. Filming your sex tape, on the other hand, should be. Don’t let yourself get so caught up in some preconceived notion of how your sex tape should look that you aren’t enjoying the experience of making it. Focus instead on the pleasure that you and your partner are giving each other and do what feels right for both of you.

The end result will be a sex tape that is far more sexy, personal and intimate than a professionally made porn could ever be.

Have you and your partner ever made a sex tape?

Getting a strong, sexy body—and keeping it up—is no easy feat. So we spoke with celebrity trainer Teddy Bass, who helped Cameron Diaz sculpt her crazy-amazing bod, about how to score a fit physique and a hefty dose of self-confidence while you’re at it. Check out his genius advice, which you definitely don’t have to be a celebrity to appreciate:

Start Pumping Iron
One of the biggest misconceptions about getting into shape is that you need to use lighter weights and lots of reps to get a toned-looking body, says Bass. The truth is, you need to be doing muscle-building exercises that use heavy weights with fewer reps. Besides helping you get into great shape, lifting weights can also boost your endorphins, lower your blood sugar, relieve stress, and increase your bone density, says Bass. The trainer suggests hitting the weight room every other day (four days a week).

Switch Up Your Arm Strengtheners
If you want to get seriously strong arms, Bass says it’s important to vary the kinds of arm exercises you do and the weight you use—that’s what he does with Cameron. “If you normally do 15 to 20 reps, try adding more weight and do 10,” he says.

Be Sure to Feel the Burn
Bass knows a thing or two about butts—he has a trademarked booty-sculpting program called Rock Bottom Body. And he says the biggest mistake women make when trying to work their glutes is not knowing how to contract their buns. If you don’t really feel the burn in your glutes, it means you’re not working the area as much as you should be (if at all), and so you’re not getting the most out of the moves, he says. To solve this problem, Bass recommends getting into a bridge position and memorizing what it feels like when you contract your butt. Then, make sure you feel that same sensation during moves that work your bum, like squats.

Incorporate Efficient Workout Moves
The best way to get the most out of your workout without spending tons of time doing it is to sprinkle in some full-body exercises. Bass says his go-tos are plyometric moves like jump squats and burpees because they keep your heart rate up and utilize bigger muscle groups so you burn more calories. Win-win-win.

Do a Confidence-Boosting Workout
Throwing upper back exercises into your routine—such as a bent-over row with dumbbells or sessions on the rowing machine—are a great confidence builder, says Bass. That’s because these moves help pull your shoulders back and can even improve your posture. “It changes the way you present yourself,” he says. And get this: Bass says that working out is a self-esteem enhancer in itself because it promotes a mind and body connection. “When you have a connection with your body, your inner glow comes out,” he says.

Don’t Slack on Cardio
Just because you add a large dose of iron to your workout routine doesn’t mean you should call it quits with cardio. Bass says heart-pumping workouts are just as important as strength training. If you’re trying to lose weight, he recommends incorporating 20 to 45 minutes of cardio four or five days a week. If you’re just trying to stay healthy, shoot for the same amount two or three times a week. Be sure to spice up your cardio regimen by changing up the machines you use and including sprint intervals to keep yourself from getting bored, he says.

Get In The Zone
Our lives are full of distractions. Whether it’s watching TV while making dinner or talking on the phone while commuting home from work, we’re constantly sidetracked, says Bass. So during your workouts, he says to get off your phone and even resist the urge to turn on the TV (even if the Real Housewives of Orange County are calling to you). Instead, focus on being in the moment and giving your workout all you’ve got. Bass says you should consider this distraction-free time a gift to yourself.

Cameron Diaz offers advice on getting your best body

  • Cameron Diaz has written a new book called %22The Body Book%22
  • She wants women to learn to love the body they have and treat it well
  • She was once a fast-food junkie who didn%27t exercise but has changed her ways

Actress Cameron Diaz has a body to die for, but she’s the first to admit that the holidays took a toll on her shape, too.

“I ate everything and was not exercising as much to offset my food intake. I was not managing myself. My body looks different now than it did two weeks ago. I am not going to beat myself up about that,” she says.

“I ate the stuff I wanted to eat. I didn’t restrict myself from things that made me happy. I was eating that way with my family and friends. We eat pork roast for Christmas, tacos the next day. I eat the pork skin, pork fat and the beef fat. That’s my treat.”

But now she’s back to healthy eating and regular exercise, and before long, she says, her body will be back to where it was.

Diaz, 41, (The Mask, My Best Friend’s Wedding, There’s Something About Mary) has written a new book, The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body with Sandra Bark to share the latest nutrition and exercise information because she wants “people to be healthy and live their life to the fullest.”

She realizes that not everyone has her “blessed gene pool,” but you can “love your own amazing body. Know that body. The only way you can know that body is by taking care of it properly. If you are eating processed foods, and you’re not getting all your nutrients, not exercising properly, then you are not living in the body that you were meant to live in.”

Diaz would like women to “stop hating their bodies, understand them, take care of their bodies and put that energy that they would be turning on themselves in a negative way out to the world in a positive way.”

She has had her own personal transformation. She grew up a fast-food junkie, consuming burgers, fries, onion rings, Coke and bean burritos. “If you are what you eat, I was a bean burrito with extra cheese and extra sauce, no onions,” she writes in the book.

Eating fast food was a habit, she says. “I didn’t think I needed to change the way I ate because everyone told me, ‘You are so skinny. You can eat whatever you want.’ But I felt sick in my own body.”

She says her poor eating habits led to problems with acne. After she started eating healthier foods, her skin cleared up.

She knew she needed to change her ways because “our body is like an engine with a series of tubes and hoses. I didn’t want to get to a place in my life where I need to replace a hose. I figured out how to make the best version of foods that I love.”

She recommends eating “whole foods” close to their “natural form.” She cooks healthy foods for herself daily, sometimes starting the day with a savory oatmeal made from steel-cut oats, egg whites, sauteed greens (collard greens, kale, zucchini) and caramelized shallots with a splash of ponzu sauce.

The trick is to make sure most of the time you are eating healthy foods but allowing yourself some indulgences, she says. She occasionally has a “cheeseburger from a place where I feel the ingredients are good quality” and if she has a craving “for a bean burrito with extra cheese and extra sauce” then she has one and doesn’t beat herself up about it.

For people who need to make many adjustments in their eating habits, Diaz recommends making gradual, consistent changes. “If you drink five sodas a day, just drink two and see the difference. Cut them out completely, and you’ll see a difference. Replace them with water, and you’ll really see a difference.”

When it comes to exercise, Diaz was physically active as a child in middle school but did very little exercise through her early 20s. Her body was transformed from a “skinny frame” into “a strong powerful body” when she was 27 and training for her role in the movie Charlie’s Angels.

“It felt amazing. I watched my body transform over a week of intense training — some days doing upward of 1,500 to 2,000 kicks a day. Kicking, kicking, kicking for eight hours. All of a sudden I had six-pack abs. It was painful. I would not recommend that anyone blast their body like that. It was an intense, physical challenge. But it woke me up to my own body and what it was capable of.”

She has continued to work out since then and has no intention of ever quitting. “I went to the gym this morning. I did cardio. I went on the elliptical for half an hour. Sometimes I do the treadmill. I do a mile as fast as I can go. … I don’t like to run too long because it can have an impact on my knees or joints. I’m more of a sprinter.

“Today I also did leg exercises and weights with the upper body. I didn’t go hard today, but I got a good sweat on. I don’t look at exercise as a chore. I look at it as something I get to do. I am grateful that I can move my body in that way.”

Part of the motivation for eating healthy and exercising regularly is thinking ahead to “my longevity,” she says. “I want to make sure I don’t get sick. If I’m blessed to get older, I want to make sure I can maintain quality of life.”

Excerpt from The Body Book by Cameron Diaz with Sandra Bark:

Believe me — I know about fast food. I grew up on fast food. My mom cooked every night, and we ate dinner at home, but out and about as a teen-ager I was a bit of a fast-food junkie. My friends and I would roll through the drive-thru, and I would get a double cheeseburger with french fries and onion rings. When I was in junior high, my friend’s brother worked at Taco Bell. Every day after school, I would come by and order one bean burrito with extra cheese and extra sauce, no onions, and he would always give me two. Every day after school, I ate two bean burritos and a Coke. Every single day, for three years, that was what I ate. Every single day.

And while I was eating burgers and burritos and onion rings and french fries and sodas, I had the worst skin. I mean, I had terrible, terrible skin. It was embarrassing, and I did everything I could think of to make it go away. I tried to cover it with makeup. I tried to get rid of it with medication — oral, topical, even the harshest prescriptions. Nothing helped for very long.

The pimples were still there through high school and into my twenties, while I was modeling and acting. It was really challenging to cover them up for the cameras; it was awkward and embarrassing and frustrating, and I always felt really bad about myself. But I kept eating that fast food, still following habits that formed at a young age when I had no idea that food could affect my strength, my energy, my ability to function — or my skin. …

My issues with my skin persisted until my late twenties, when I started cooking for myself and stopped eating so much fast food. As my eating style evolved and I quit putting processed foods into my body, a funny thing happened … my skin began to clear up. My acne wasn’t totally gone, but it was significantly better. … It’s definitely possible that hormonal changes and other factors may have played a role in my acne, but it’s also definitely true that I saw a dramatic change in my skin when I changed my diet. … I began to realize that by adjusting my food intake I could affect not only my skin but also my energy levels and my stomachache levels … not just the way I looked but the way I felt.

Her intense years of research for both of her books-The Body Book: The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, and Other Ways to Love Your Body and The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Timehave taught her a thing or two about what it means to nourish your body for optimal health.

© Provided by Meredith Corporation We did some research to find out what Cameron Diaz’s “longevity diet” actually looks like.

© Provided by Meredith Corporation recipe Pictured recipe: Banh Mi Vietnamese Sandwiches

Get the Body Like Cameron Diaz

Cameron Diaz is now in her 40’s, but she is still, an incredible beauty. She stays in shape unlike any other, and countless women would like to know how she got a rockin’ body. Lately, she sealed a deal to write a book, regarding health and wellness, which will include her fitness and diet tips. Let us take a look at what we discovered regarding her secrets on how she looks so sexy and beautiful than she was on her 20’s.

Check out how Cameron Diaz stays fit:

Cameron trains along with her trainer, Teddy Bass. Before her movie ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ her body isn’t as good as today. It‘s not that she was fat. As a model, she was tall and thin. She hasn’t worked out. Her body transformation quest began around ten years ago, because of the three-month martial arts training she experienced for the movie ‘Charlie’s Angels.’ Her body transformed from slim to toned, and she has developed an excellent muscular endurance and level of anaerobic fitness. She noticed that she is much healthier and stronger after exercising. After that, she never looks back and keeps on her training. These days, she has a well-organized weight training and cardio program, and she devotes around an hour each day to workout.

Cameron also likes outdoor activities. She’s an avid snowboarder and surfer. She plays golf and hikes, as well. Outdoor activities are exciting, making her love doing her activities regularly. Those activities are not great calorie-burners, but also function as great options to provide Cameron a break from her indoor workouts.

If you want her nicely toned legs, these leg workouts are what she really does:

  • Leg curls
  • Leg extensions
  • Lunge, steps up and reverse lunge using medicine ball
  • Leg presses
  • Squats with the use of dumbbells

If you envy Cameron’s sexy abs, you’ll have to do cardio exercise much like her – no less than 30 minutes hour every session, three to five times per week, to burn the fat so that the definition of your abs is apparent. She enjoys doing her cardio on a treadmill, elliptical machine, and fitness bike to ensure that her body doesn’t adapt to just a single cardiovascular routine. She loves elliptical machine probably the most. Why? It is because it helps her to shrink her abs to be able to stay upright.

Cameron Diaz’s Diet Regime

Cameron usually eats five to six small foods each day. She doesn’t skip breakfast, and she consumes high-protein foods such as skinless chicken breast for breakfast. At the time she’ll be out surfing, she usually eats garlic ice with eggs and broccoli as well to provide her body lots of energy. Taking in protein early morning is a pretty smart weight management approach. It can make her feeling full and less inclined to binge on unhealthy foods. She also indulged in protein shakes, salads, lean beef or chicken, fruits, some nuts, seafood, etc.

Furthermore, Cameron revealed that she consumes junk foods moderately from time to time. She doesn’t wish to feel totally deprived, so she lets herself bask in food that she likes once in a while. As long as she doesn’t munch on it often, this little splurge won’t sidetrack her hard work to keep slim.

How Cameron Diaz Stays Bikini Ready All Year

Though Cameron Diaz is in her 40’s today, she still looks amazing. For her, it isn’t just her looks which makes her attractive, but her radiance that comes from within. It is also partly because of a healthy sex life and on enjoying what she really loves. You can also get fit or stay in shape with the right routine but do not forget to follow your dreams too, in order to achieve that healthy glow.

You don’t need to have a personal trainer on call to get an A-list workout. We asked Teddy Bass—author of the upcoming Affirm Fitness and the L.A. trainer responsible for Cameron’s killer physique—to share his best strategies for sticking to your goals and getting the most out of your sweat sessions.

(Customize your own walking plan with Walk Your Way to Better Health and lose up to 5x more belly fat!)

1. Start your morning with meditation.

Hero Images/Getty Images

Surprise: Bass’s number-one workout tip is to sit still. He notes that a few minutes of meditation each morning can help set the tone for the day so you approach everything, including your workout, more mindfully. “I’ve been doing this for 24 years and it’s the one thing I see that truly does make a difference,” Bass says. (Try these 8 simple meditation techniques.)

2. Step away from social media.

Carlina Teteris/Getty Images

It’s easy to get caught up in the comparison game, especially if you follow a bunch of “fitspo” accounts. And when you’re checking your own healthy progress against, say, a competitive bodybuilder, it’s easy to feel discouraged. “We have so much social media sabotage going on,” Bass says. “Take a break so you can be clear that you’re focusing on your goal and not somebody else’s.” Bonus: When you’re not distracted by Facebook you might suddenly find that extra 45 minutes to work out today.

3. Dig deeper for lasting motivation.

If carving out an hour of “me time” each day feels selfish, try reframing your motivation for working out. For example, instead of aiming for a certain dress size, set a goal to run up the stairs at the local museum without getting winded. “It’s so easy to put ourselves second,” Bass says. “We have to prioritize and see what’s important.” And yep, your health is pretty important—so put your workouts on the calendar and treat them like any other commitment.

Only have 10 minutes to spare? Here’s a metabolism-boosting workout you can do anywhere:

4. Don’t wing it.

If you go to the gym without a specific idea of what you plan to accomplish, you may end up socializing or wandering around aimlessly. Your workout plan doesn’t have to be fancy, but you do have to have one. Just pick a handful of exercises and do a few sets of each. “If you make a plan—‘today I’m going to do squats, lunges, chest press, and biceps’—boom, there are your exercises,” Bass says.

5. If you only do one thing, do burpees.

They’re probably not your favorite thing in the world, but they work. “Three sets of 10 burpees will get your heart rate up and work almost every muscle in your body,” Bass says. If you haven’t quite mastered burpees yet, Bass recommends a modified version: Just squat, step back into a plank, do a push-up, and stand. Do as many reps as you can manage, and work your way up as you get stronger. (Here’s what can happen when you do burpees every day for two weeks.)

Here’s how to do the perfect burpee:

6. Do whatever cardio you want.

Yes, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) may be super-effective at torching calories, but if you don’t enjoy it, you won’t stick with it. So if you’d rather zone out on the treadmill for a few slow-and-steady miles, do that instead. Or take a Spin class, go for a walk, or follow an exercise video on YouTube. “Adapt your workout so it works for you,” Bass says. Assuming you’re not training for the Olympics, you don’t have to optimize every minute of every workout. Just find something you like doing, and keep doing it.

7. Don’t skip strength training.

“You’re not going to get huge; you’re going to develop toned muscles, increase your metabolism, and burn calories,” Bass says. (Here’s what 10 minutes of strength training each day can do for you.) If you don’t want to lift heavy weights, you can do bodyweight exercises (like push-ups, squats, and lunges) and reap similar benefits. Talk to a personal trainer—most gyms will offer you a free session when you join—or try a circuit class for inspiration.

8. Log your progress.

If you’re starting a new workout routine, journaling can help you track your progress and tune in to what’s working and what’s not. Have you gone weeks without seeing any improvement? You may not be working up to your potential. Are you skipping workouts often because you’re way too sore? You might be overdoing it. Journaling can help you spot those issues before they become hard-to-break habits. “It comes back to mindfulness,” Bass says. “When you journal, you get a little check-in every day. You’re self-accountable.” (Make sure you aren’t making these weight loss mistakes that could be slowing your progress.)

When Cameron Diaz isn’t being the most charming actress in Hollywood, she’s co-authoring books about longevity, the human body, and wellness. In The Longevity Book: The Science of Aging, the Biology of Strength, and the Privilege of Time, Diaz applies her sunny disposition to anti-aging, lauding the health benefits of eating pork belly on a fun night out with friends. Though, most of the time, Diaz is just home-cooking like the rest of us.

What does your breakfast routine look like?
I’m a protein girl in the morning. That’s a big thing for me. A lot of my friends can’t stomach breakfast, but I have a first and a second breakfast.

What happens at each breakfast?
At my first breakfast, I just put something in my stomach before my workout—usually scrambled eggs, toast, an avocado, an apple with almond butter, overnight oats, or a piece of chicken. It’s just enough to kick things into gear. Then I work out. After that, at second breakfast, I joke that I eat dinner for breakfast. It’s a full meal with chicken, grains, and sautéed or roasted vegetables.

Has your diet changed at all after researching and writing this book?
Since my mid-30s I’ve been conscientious about my eating and good nutrition. It’s not really something I grew up with. What I really learned about aging was the five pillars of well-being. They’re integrated and we need ’em all.

What are they?
First and foremost, we need good nutrition, good sleep, good physical activity—and I don’t mean just working out a gym for two hours then sitting for eight. We need constant movement, periodically, throughout the day. Then we need to learn how to release stress. We also need to find a connection or purpose with the community around us. Like, when I sit down to a meal with a friend, it’s really just part of improving my well-being. It’s not just the food I’m eating. I can restrict the hell out of my eating generally, but when I sit down with a friend, no matter what I eat, it’s good for me.

What do you mean?
I don’t eat pork belly when I’m home by myself, but when I’m at a restaurant with a friend? That’s another story. I’m just loving the moment with my friend and it’s feeding my soul in a different way.

Is there a secret ingredient you swear by in the kitchen?
Everything tastes better with a squeeze of lemon. I really put it on everything. Lemon, garlic, olive oil, and salt can make anything taste good. It’s almost like cheating—there’s just no way to make it taste bad.

Would you rather cook or be cooked for?
Cook, always.

Do you have a signature dish?
My husband would say it’s my lamb chops. It’s not why he loves me, but he also tells me it helps.

Wow. What’s in these lamb chops?
It’s so simple and the same as everything else I like: garlic, lemon, oil, salt, and oregano. But I think the magic is in the ratios and the amount of time that it sits in the marinade. Then I grill them so they get nice and caramelized.

Are there any family recipes from childhood that you just love?
Anything my mom would cook. We had white rice at every meal, because my dad is Cuban. There would just be a pot of white rice on the counter next to the stove, and I would eat it throughout the day—just take a spoonful here and there. When I’d get hungry, I’d scoop some into a pan with water to reconstitute it, add salt and vinegar, and flavor it with whatever condiments or leftovers we had.

Do you still do that?
Oh, yeah. I do the same thing now. Instead of snacking on chips, I always go for my grains. I throw them into a pan with chicken stock, and drop in vegetables, lemon, and garlic. That’s my main snack. Even if I’m going to be out all day, I’ll pack a veggie stir-fry from the morning in a to-go container with a silverware set.

What’s your favorite midnight snack, though?
I’m not really a nighttime eater, but, if I’m up late for some reason, and I know I’m going to be too hungry to go to sleep, I’ll do a spoonful of almond butter.
