A beauty blog is getting dragged for its ‘DIY vagina lightening hacks’ — here’s what doctors think about it

  • A blog post published last month by Huda Beauty offered tips on lightening the vagina.
  • The post sparked controversy online.
  • Some people thought the post stoked unnecessary body shame.
  • Others disagreed, and thanked Huda Beauty for the tips.
  • Debate aside, the story is a good reminder that there’s a really wide range of normal appearances for female genitals.
  • Two gynecologists also told INSIDER there’s no medical need to lighten genital skin.

A post from a popular beauty blog is under fire for its recommendation of “DIY hacks” to lighten the vagina.

The post was initially published April 7 on Huda Beauty, the website of beauty blogger and makeup artist Huda Kattan, who currently boasts more than 25 million Instagram followers. The post made headlines this past week when it was reported on by UK publication The Independent.

It’s titled: “Why Your Vagina Gets Dark and How To Lighten It.” The introduction explains that some Huda Beauty readers have apparently asked whether or not skin-lightening products can be used on “lady parts.” An unspecified Huda Beauty writer — the byline just says “HB Team” — decided to look up “DIY vagina lightening hacks” and run them by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Doris Day.

In the piece, Day says that DIY “hacks” like lemon juice, yogurt, egg whites, and coconut oil are unlikely to be effective skin lighteners. Further down, though, the post recommends different lightening strategies, including asking a dermatologist about chemical peels or brightening creams and applying a mixture of lemon juice and rose water.

The post drew criticism on social media.

Many argued that, in publishing the tips, Huda Beauty was implicitly stoking insecurity in readers — making them feel as if natural changes in their genitals are errors to be corrected.

“I unfollowed this page over crap like this. What next? A highlight and contour for my vulva?” one of more than 200 commenters wrote when Huda Beauty shared the post on its Facebook page.

“As if we need more things to change to be considered beautiful. We have to be skinny with big boobs and butt and wax and shave and pluck and blow dry and straighten and makeup and nails and now lighten our vaginas?!” one person wrote in a Reddit thread discussing the post. “We are tired.”

Some Twitter users chimed in, too.

Some believed the post implied that darker skin is somehow less desirable than lighter skin.

“Brown people the world over already have to feel lesser because of the color of their skin and are encouraged to lighten it,” one Reddit commenter wrote. “But our genitals, too?”

And others knocked the post for using the word “vagina” when it’s actually referencing the vulva — the external female genitals.

—Laura McCoy (@lauraytse) May 4, 2018

But other people thanked Huda Beauty for the post.

The comments on the actual blog post included several positive remarks.

“Thank you Huda for writing this article!” one commenter wrote. “I’m glad you wrote this for women that are by it now can find some type of solution!”

“I don’t see anything wrong with the article whatsoever!” another said. “I feel like she’s just answering some ladies’ concerns about why our lady parts do get darker … Not once did she state it’s ugly and you have to CHANGE it.”

Huda Beauty has since responded to the criticism.

The Huda Beauty team did add an update to the post after it was published.

“We appreciate and respect everyone’s opinions on this subject and want to express that we do not feel lightening your vulva … is necessary,” the update read, in part.

When reached for a comment, a representative for Huda Beauty directed INSIDER to Kattan’s Snapchat story, where she addressed the controversy in a series of videos. Kattan said that the post wasn’t encouraging darker-skinned women to lighten their genitals, or implying that darker skin tones are less attractive. It was meant to address only hyperpigmentation, she said — skin darkening that can happen to anyone, regardless of skin tone.

“Be your own kind of beautiful”💋 I want to get to know you all better my loves! ❤️❤️❤️ How old are you & where are you from?

A post shared by Huda Kattan (@hudabeauty) on May 1, 2018 at 11:50am PDTMay 1, 2018 at 11:50am PDT

“In no way shape or form would we ever say that people need to lighten their private areas. Pigmentation is something that affects many different people and many skin tones — all skin tones, in fact,” she said. “People can choose to fix pigmentation, they don’t have to. I totally get that the language could have been improved … but we want to make sure that we are giving people information when they are requesting it from us.”

Day, the dermatologist quoted in the post, told INSIDER she’s seen plenty of patients who are concerned this type of skin discoloration.

“I see patients regularly who have issues with hyperpigmentation … who are very embarrassed about it and who really appreciate knowing they are not alone,” she said. “I was not promoting or advocating unnatural lightness of any area of the body. As a dermatologist and as a woman of Middle Eastern descent, I celebrate all women of all skin types and I work hard to help women appreciate their own natural beauty.”

Gynecologists told INSIDER there’s no medical reason to lighten genitals.

INSIDER asked two gynecologists if there was any health-related reason to lighten external genitalia like the labia. Both said no.

“I can see no medical rationale to do anything to lighten one’s vagina,” Dr. Mary Jane Minkin, clinical professor of obstetrics, gynecology, and reproductive sciences at the Yale University School of Medicine told INSIDER. “Same thing goes for the labia. Who cares if they look dark?”

“There is absolutely no medical reason to change labia color but for individual preference and confidence,” Dr. Alyssa Dweck, author of “The Complete A to Z for your V,” told INSIDER.

There’s no medical need to lighten your genitals. Kunlanan Yarist/

Minkin also said she’s concerned about women using products or “hacks” in the genital area that may cause irritation. (Many women who think they have a yeast infection, she added, are actually experiencing irritation brought on by personal care products or other substances.)

That doesn’t mean the DIY methods recommended by Huda Beauty will cause irritation for everyone, but it’s good to practice caution.

“While lemon juice, rose water and coconut oil are unlikely to be harmful, testing a small patch of external skin before slathering oneself is recommended,” Dweck said.

But some color changes in the genital area do need a doctor’s attention.

“A sudden or enlarging dark, irregular, constantly itchy, bleeding or unusual focus of pigment deserves a look by the gynecologist — skin cancer can occur on the vulva,” Dweck said. “In addition, dark, velvety pigmented skin in skin creases might be a sign of hormonal imbalance or elevated sugars.”

The American College of Gynecologists and Obstetricians (ACOG) adds that “new bumps or painful swelling, itching, or burning that do not go away” also warrant a checkup.

Remember that there’s wide range of normal female genitals.

There’s a wide variety of normal appearances for female genitals. NBCUniversal Television

Social media reactions aside, a story like this is a good opportunity to revisit an important truth about female genitals: There’s a really wide range of appearances that are all considered normal, according to the ACOG.

Unfortunately, we live in a world where that truth is often obscured. For years, advertisements and cultural messages have led women to believe that normal characteristics of their genitals — menstrual blood, pubic hair, natural smell — are undesirable, even disgusting.

For example: Decades ago, ads warned women that their husbands would lose interest in them if they didn’t douche to remove odor. Today, douches and feminine hygiene products are still sold in drugstores, even though gynecologists say they’re unnecessary and may cause unpleasant side effects.

It’s possible some people saw the Huda Beauty post as just another attempt to fuel feelings of shame about vaginas and vulvas — even though Kattan said that wasn’t what she and her team intended.

The bottom line: No one needs to lighten her genitals, just as Kattan said in her clarifying remarks on Snapchat. But if you want to, it pays to use caution with potentially irritating DIY methods. Better yet, consult a doctor for advice. And, as always, if you have any medical concerns about the vagina or vulva, ask a doctor for help.

Home Remedies Tips Remove Darkness Skin Around Vagina

SonaliFollow Mar 25, 2016 · 3 min read

Many Dermatologists confirmed that the darkness on Vagina is quite natural and is common.

One of the reasons for this darkness is due to stretching of the skin at the vaginal area which we can also observe this happening at the underarms. We can easily observe lightening of this darkness when the skin is pulled out slightly. Besides this, the darkness occurs due to improper hygiene which leads to infection because of the vaginal discharge or excessive sweating.

Proper cleaning of the vagina is to be ensured .But care should be taken not to rub excessively over the vaginal surface. This over rubbing with soaps or liquids may result in affecting your skin’s PH level thereby causing irritation.

Many cosmetics and skin color lightening creams available may show difference up to some extent. But these are carefully chosen because most of those contain a chemical substance called Hydroquinone which reduces the formation of Melanin, the pigment of the skin that causes darkness. Though it reduces darkness there are many side affects related to its use.

In view of this we provide some handy remedies that help you in reducing darkness of vagina.

  1. Lime or Orange: Lime juice and orange juice serve the purpose well. These are rich in vitamin c which ensures the darkness removal effectively. Peel can also used in addition to this.

How to use: Take 2–3 table spoons of lime juice or Orange juice and mix it with thick cream or yogurt along with some sugar. Make your vaginal area clean and dry. Apply this mixture to the vaginal area, rub gently and leave it for 15 to 20 minutes. Wash thoroughly with lukewarm water.

This acts as a skin bleaching agent. Citrus fruits also relieve the bad odor of vagina.

  1. Papaya: Papaya or Papita (Hindi) shows powerful benefits to our skin. It is a rich source in vitamins A and C.

How to use: Peel of Papaya and mash it into small pieces. After ensuring that the vaginal area is clean and dry, apply this pulp gently to the vaginal area by rubbing it smoothly for 5 to 10 minutes. Leave it for 15 minutes and wash with cold water. Papaya not only reduces the darkness but also enhances the smoothness to the skin by providing good aroma.

  1. Aloe Vera and cucumber gel: This mixture is widely used as a face pack to enhance the glow. This gel is available in many medical stores.

How to use: Apply this gel on the cleanly washed vaginal area and rub smoothly on it for few minutes. Leave for at least 2 hours. Then wash thoroughly with cold water. Keep the area dry after cleaning.

This mixture has great anti tanning and darkness reducing properties .This also ensures the PH level maintenance on the vagina. It also gives smoothness and relieves bad odor of the vagina.

  1. Tomatoes: Tomatoes are rich in vitamin C and are widely used for skin care purposes.

How to use: Peel of the tomato outer skin and extract its juice by mashing it. Now apply the juice by adding it with a pinch of turmeric on the clean and dry vaginal area and rub it gently for 5 to 10 minutes. Leave it for 20 minutes and wash thoroughly with cold water.

Use it as often as possible in a week for best results.

Apart from these there are some important things that are to be considered which affects the darkness of vagina.

  1. Very frequent use of hair removal creams increases darkness on the vaginal surface.
  2. Usage of synthetic panties other than cotton ones do not absorb the moisture that is due to excessive sweating or discharge and that accumulation in turn causes infections related to skin.
  3. Having an unhealthy diet also causes bad odor during the discharge. Make sure you have a healthy diet.
  4. Always ensure cleaning of the vaginal area with a smooth tissue after using washroom.
  5. Try to wear sloppy undergarments rather than tight ones.

These are the handy remedies that anyone can easily follow by choosing their convenient option. Itching may cause while using citrus fruits and if it exceeds wash with cold water immediately.

ENTERING the HB Health Clinic with my boyfriend Freddy, it felt like just like one of our normal spa dates – only today I was in for some pampering of a more intimate kind.

I was booked in for vaginal bleaching. Having just celebrated my 31st birthday in Paris, it seemed like the ideal time to treat myself – and Freddy – to a brighter, more youthful vagina.

6 Tracy Kiss tried out vaginal whitening and she says it’s rolled back the years

We are approaching our first anniversary together, and a new bright pink vagina seemed the ideal gift to give my boyfriend.

While I’ve never been criticised for the colour or appearance of my intimate area, I certainly feel that as a woman I deserve to take control of my body and seek beauty treatments that help me feel comfortable in my own skin.

Much like putting on a pair of high heels or wearing mascara, when you look your best you feel your best – especially when it comes to spending special moments with a loving partner.

With age, skin in your intimate area darkens and becomes more textured and prune-like. But this procedure helps to reverse that, leaving it soft and pink. It’s the ultimate makeover for mums.

6 Tracy said the whitening is the perfect anniversary gift for her boyfriend Freddy

Just as I’d imagine men worry about the shape, size and performance of their manhood – totally unnecessarily of course – as a woman I feel the same insecurities about pleasuring my partner after having children.

Vaginal whitening is a quick and convenient procedure, something that fits perfectly into a lunch break.

To have my vagina lasered, I had to have my contraceptive coil removed first as no metal can be inside the womb during the treatment. Switching to the pill was a sensible option for us because it makes family planning more accessible should we wish to have children in the future.

The vagina also has to be dried with a swab to remove moisture. My procedure was performed by Dr Minoo Madhok, who applied a numbing cream to the area while I lay down, protective eyewear in place, with my legs parted as if for a smear test.

6 Vaginal whitening is a quick and convenient procedure, something that fits perfectly into a lunch break, says Tracy 6 Tracy had to have her coil removed prior to the procedure

The treatment involved lasering the skin of my labia majora (the outer part of the vagina). After several short bursts of light and a slightly warm sensation, the treatment was complete in around 30 minutes.

It seemed the ideal opportunity to have my vagina tightened at the same time – a very beneficial procedure called MonaLisa Touch that the same laser equipment is most commonly used for.

This time Dr Madhok attached a C02 fractional laser (in the form of a slim metal rod on a handpiece) which was inserted into my vagina and the laser pulses stimulated new collagen production within the vaginal wall.

Vaginal rejuvenation can benefit every woman of child-bearing age upwards and the tightening coupled with the heightened sensation it promises is something that my boyfriend and I are very excited about. It’s reignited the spark from the honeymoon period of our relationship.

6 Tracy was thrilled that Freddy came along to support her

Similar to the results of having Botox and fillers to the face to remove fine lines and wrinkles, the MonaLisa and vaginal whitening procedure is a total rejuvenation for the vagina that totally turns back the clock.

It’s the most liberating feeling to know that my intimate area is now permanently plumper, brighter and lighter in appearance. To feel attractive “down there” is fantastic and something I couldn’t recommend more highly!

We were meant to abstain for a week but four days later we couldn’t contain ourselves…

After all we normally have sex twice a day.

I have quite a high pain threshold so it only really felt tender for the first couple of days – slightly warm like I had been sat on a heated car seat, but not painful.

Now I don’t feel anything and the slight redness immediately after treatment has faded to a pale skin colour which is lovely.

It’s noticeably ‘plumper’ looking.

And it looks younger because it’s lighter and smoother.

The inner workings are amazing! We were both very excited to find out what it would be like, and whilst we both typically enjoy rather rough fast and hard sex we were slightly cautious and tender which made it feel all the more incredible to make love.

What does the treatment involve and how does it work?

Laser Vaginal Bleaching aims to permanently remove darker coloured tissues in the vaginal area, or even in the perineum.

The operation takes place using a latest-generation special laser, on three or more sessions, depending on the case and is usually every session needs 10-15 minutes to be completed.

Through the laser usage, the removal of the melanin layer present in the sensitive area becomes possible, and thus the source of the undesirable colouring is treated.

The procedure takes place following an appointment and is performed using local anaesthesia.

In the post-operation period, special care should be given to hygienic care of the area, and it is recommended that the first sexual intercourse takes place following 3-4 days after the session.

Vaginal bleaching costs £500 per session, and there’s currently a promotional offer for three sessions for £1,000.

I was expecting it to feel tighter as it states in the description of the treatment which it certainly is, but the sensation is the main difference for me.

It’s like adding an extra level of awareness, everything ‘feels more’ and as such pleasure is heightened. I guess when couples use tingle lubricant to increase blood flow and sensitivity, the inner tissue of the vagina is more responsive and attentive which we both majorly enjoyed.

We only have one body, and I intend to keep mine as healthy, youthful and attractive as possible for (primarily) myself and also my partner – after all, a happy wife is a happy life.

We shouldn’t shy away from intimate health issues, nor hide our insecurities from our partners. If we’re all a little more open and honest about our body hang-ups and concerns then we’d realise that there are treatments and procedures available that can fix almost anything in this day and age!

Freddy says: “I think Tracy is perfect the way she is, but I know she felt insecure about having had children and the effect it had on her body.

Thomas Rhett to perform at BB&T Pavilion

Vulvovaginitis is a common condition that causes irritation or inflammation of the genital area. Vulva is a word girls might not have heard before. Most girls will use the word vagina to refer to their genitalia. The vulva is actually the external part of the female genitalia and the vagina is the internal part.

Vulvovaginitis occurs frequently in young girls because of anatomic differences and behavioral factors. Anatomy in pediatric patients is different than adults. The skin on the vulva and vaginal mucosa is thinner due to having less estrogen making these areas more sensitive to allergic exposures. The vulva is also underdeveloped, lacking pubic hair and labial fat pads, which leaves the vagina unprotected from external irritants including bacteria from the anus. Their vaginas have a neutral pH, unlike adults, whose pH is moderately acidic. All these factors contribute to bacterial growth in girls.

MORE HEALTH: How to prepare your daughter for her first menstrual cycle

Finally, young girls tend to have poor hygiene with both hand washing and vulvar and perianal cleaning, and wiping after bowel movements. These can lead to fecal bacteria or other organisms associated with urinary tract causing infections. Young girls may also rush to urinate and do not wipe themselves carefully. This can result in urine collecting in the vagina giving bacteria a medium to grow. Scratching, thumb sucking and nose picking can also introduce oral and skin bacteria to the vagina.

Girls with vulvovaginitis can present with vaginal discharge, itching, prepubertal vaginal bleeding, redness, or complaints of discomfort when urinating or wiping. Parents might report an odor or staining in a child’s underwear. Asking a girl’s history from both the parent and the patient is helpful in making the diagnosis and determining the best treatment. Your pediatric and adolescent gynecologist, pediatrician, or family medicine physician will ask many questions at the office visit. Some questions include the onset, timing and duration of symptoms, what measures or remedies have been used to improve symptoms, and what prior testing or evaluation for the condition has been performed.

Discussion of acute or chronic irritant exposures such as fabric softeners, bubble baths, hair products, and lotions should be addressed. Inquiring how the child is wiping after urinating and bowel movements is important. The possibility of sexual abuse should also be assessed.

The evaluation is guided by both the patient’s age and her associated symptoms. A physical exam of the genital area is important to identify if there is an infection. An internal examination is usually not necessary. A small cotton swab might be used to obtain a culture. If a foreign object is seen – the most common is toilet paper – this can sometimes be gently irrigated using sterile water. If the object isn’t removable in a doctor’s office, an exam under anesthesia might be warranted.

Dr. Rachael Polis

Most cases of vulvovaginitis are nonspecific and have no bacterial cause. These cases will commonly present with complaints of irritation and redness that last for a month to a year. These cases can be treated with one to two soaks in a warm tub daily and after bath use of a barrier cream such as zinc oxide or another diaper rash ointment. If symptoms persist or if vaginal discharge is seen, a physician should be consulted for further evaluation.

The most common bacteria associated with vulvovaginitis are respiratory and gastrointestinal organisms. Medical management is targeted toward the underlying pathogen. Yeast infections are uncommon outside of the diaper period and can be identified with a vaginal swab. Sexually transmitted infections are obtained in patients with a concern and treated according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines.

Some patients who present with vulvovaginitis might have symptoms as a result of a pinworm infection. In these patients, pinworm testing can be performed and if positive the child, all household contacts and caregivers should be treated.

To prevent future infections girls should be counseled to wash their hands before and after going to the bathroom, particularly when they have upper respiratory infections to prevent autoinoculation. Girls should use unscented soap to wash the external vulva and should not place soap inside the vagina. Avoiding irritating products such as bubble baths can be helpful. Instruct girls to use careful hygiene after using the restroom and to wipe from front to back. Wearing loose cotton underwear and changing out of a wet swimsuit as soon as possible are recommended.

Dr. Rachael L. Polis is a pediatric and adolescent gynecologist at Crozer-Keystone Health System. She sees patients from newborn to 25 years old in Crozer-Keystone OB/GYN offices in Broomall, Media and Upland. Call 610-619-8300 for an appointment.

That’s right, we are shining a spotlight on the vagina. And it’s about time. Given the amount we talk about it, you’d think we’d know everything about its intricate design, yet most men don’t know the labia from the vulva.

The following guide explains a few things you might still wonder about, like the secret to finding the nerve-packed hot spots that make intercourse feel the best it can.

Related Story

Most people call the whole kit and caboodle between a woman’s legs the “vagina” but the compendium of visible outer parts is technically the “vulva”. Meant to keep dirt and bacteria out while providing a welcoming environment for worthy partygoers, the vulva is like a VIP lounge where the clitoris is the DJ.

“The labia majora (outer lips) are a protective layer of fat covered by the skin and hair,” says Dr Lillian Schapiro, a gynaecologist. Their job is to keep sex comfy even if your pelvis is bonier than Iggy Pop’s.

Located inside the labia majora (though sometimes extending beyond them), the labia minora, or inner lips, act like a pair of swinging doors guarding the entrance to the vagina and the urethra, the tube that leads from the bladder. “The labia minora are much thinner than the labia majora and even more sensitive,” says Dr Schapiro says.

Related Story

Plus, they contain erectile tissue, made up of clusters of tiny blood vessels, which means they become slightly stiffer (though not as stiff as the clitoris) during arousal. The anatomist who named the parts of the vulva must have found it lounge like too, because the area between and including the inner folds of the labia minors is called the “vestibule.”

FuseGetty Images

The sprinkler system

Hiding just below the skin of the labia and the clitoral hood (called the prepuce) are hundreds of small glands that secrete oil and sweat to protect those delicate areas from friction and overheating. The inside of the vagina also stays moist to maintain healthy tissue, but as you’ve no doubt noticed, it gets wetter when you’ve turned her on.

Related Story

That’s because the lining of the vagina fills with blood during arousal, causing the salt water in blood plasma to push through the vaginal wall. The Bartholin’s glands – on either side of the vaginal opening – also pump out a few beads of slippery mucus.

In missionary position, most of this fluid collects in the back of the vagina and fails to lubricate the opening, making sex uncomfortable. Unfortunately in some women lubrication occurs for only a few moments then stops. In both case, a water-based lubricant (spit does the job very well too) is key to ensuing a smooth entry.

Pleats and ruffles

The vulva and the vagina feature a variety of textures. Most of the vulva is smooth, but some women’s labia minora have a ruffled appearance. “Labias come in all shapes and sizes,” says Dr Stewart. “The tips of the nipples and the labia are similar because they both contain small, bumpy-looking glands.” When going down on a girl you may also notice that the entrance to the vagina also has a ruffled border or just a few irregular bits of skin.

Those are the remnants of the hymen, a thin membrane that once partially covered the entrance but has been torn or pushed aside by sexual intercourse. As for the texture inside the vagina, it’s full of bumpy ridges called rugae. The rugae stretch and retract to accommodate objects ranging from your penis to 10lb babies.

Finding the wishbone

In a body full of hardworking organs the clitoris is like Paris Hilton – it does nothing but party. It’s the only part of the human body which sole purpose is pleasure. The one thing that the clitoris has that Paris lacks? Depth.

Related Story

“The clitoris is larger than it seems,” says Dr Laura Berman, a clinical assistant professor of gynaecology at North-western University’s medical school. Beneath the visible pink button, called the glans, lies a wish-bone shaped structure comprising a shaft, which extends about an inch up towards the pubic bone, and two three inch arms called crura that reach down and back toward the pelvic bone in an inverted v-shape.

Though the shaft and crura send pleasure signals to the brain during sex, the glans is more sensitive. That’s why it has a hood – without it a pair of tight jeans would send your missus into overdrive!

fizkesGetty Images

Two bulbs of erectile tissue run alongside the crura. Many experts, including Berman and Dr Helen O’Connell, an urologist at Royal Melbourne Hospital in Australia and the first person to map the clitoris using magnetic resonance imaging believe that this tissue is part of the clitoris too.

In studies, Dr O’Connell found that the clitoris is also connected to erectile tissue surrounding the urethra and extending up to the front wall of the vagina – where the enigmatic G-spot has been known to pop up.

Over the hedge

The hair that covers the pubic mound and outer labia grows in a pattern called the escutcheon (based on the Latin term for an ornamental shield). When allowed to grow wild, some escutcheons will wander up toward the navel and down toward the upper thighs, while others wouldn’t breech the borders of a Brazilian Bikini.

Related Story

The shape of the hair shaft differs depending on their ethnicity; in Asian women they’re typically round, in women of African decent they are elliptical, and in Caucasians and Latinas they range between the two. “Elliptical shafts are more likely to become ingrown after shaving or waxing as the hair curls in, pierces the skin and creates a bump,” says dermatologist Dr Susan Taylor.

X marks the spot

While the vagina is nowhere near as responsive to touch as the vulva, it does contain hundreds of nerve endings. If a woman were lying on her back with a clock placed upright inside the lower part of her vagina (don’t ask how it got there), the most sensitive area would be at 12 o’clock, right behind the urethra.

In a 1982 study of more than 400 women, Rutgers University sex researcher Dr Beverly Whipple, found that when this area was stimulated after a woman was already sexually aroused, a bump of tissue speared and could sometimes trigger an orgasm. She named the area the G-spot after Ernst Grafenberg, the German doctor who first documented it in 1950.

Related Story

Further examination of this spongy tissue found it identical to that of the male prostate gland, a well-established pleasure zone. Some doctors believe the G-spot should be renamed the female prostate. Supporting that belief is a study showing the similarity between the fluid expelled by a very small percentage of women through their urethra during G-spot orgasm (aka female ejaculation) and that produced by the male prostate.

What if you never found her G-spot? Whipple says, don’t sweat it; “There are many sensitive areas inside he vagina that, when stimulated by a finger, vibrator, or penis, can contribute to sexual pleasure.”

The vagina tilts back 30-degrees from the opening. A side effect of this 30-degree angle is that in missionary position, the penis has little to no contact with the super-sensitive front wall of the vagina. As far as orgasm goes, this is not good. Placing a pillow under her back and getting her to wrap her legs around your lower back, while rocking back and forth to create clitoral friction can help you get the maximum amount of bliss out of missionary, but other positions typically yield better results.

Arman ZhenikeyevGetty Images

“The best positions for G-spot stimulation include women-on-top and rear entry,” says Berman. Woman on top lets you experiment with different angles to find most feel good sensations. “Leaning back targets the anterior wall,” adds Berman. Zero in on her G-spot in rear entry getting her to lie flat on her stomach and tucking a pillow under her hips. Or try reverse cowgirl, where she faces your feet – and with that view, you’ll be one very happy cowboy.

She’s also had youth-promoting hyaluronic acid injections into her cheeks “multiple times” and three “Brazilian butt lifts”.

Mary had her first cosmetic procedure at 21.

“It was a boob job. I was working as a stripper since I was 17, and I’ve always loved the fake bimbo look.”

She says she now “loves everything about” herself, but that it hasn’t all been plain sailing.

“The most unusual operation I had was very recently, on my vagina,” she says.

“I custom designed it, so I have the fattest in the world.”

“I almost died during procedure. I had to get two blood transfusions.

“Another guy said he wants to leave his wife for me – but he was broke and ugly.”

When most of us think of plastic surgery we think of face lifts, but some women are now modifying other parts of their body in order to maintain a certain look

Among the surgeries now available are some carried out on the female genitalia.

Labiaplasty reduces the size of the labia minora – the flaps of skin either side of the vaginal opening.

Vaginoplasty is designed to reduce the size of the actual vagina (as in the vaginal hole) usually to make it tighter.

The surgery typically takes a few hours, with some patients able to go home the same day, but can cost thousands of pounds plus the cost of any consultations or follow-up appointments.

Celebs to have undergone similar procedures include Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Brandi Glanville, TOWIE’s Gemma Collins, and Celebrity Big Brother 18 contestant Renee Graziano.

But she adds that she receives a lot of messages of thanks and support.

“The nicest comments are mostly from women who look nothing like me,” she says.

“Older professional looking women being supportive, which is unusual because they’re usually the meanest in real life so its nice to read.

“Just messages from people saying that I helped them to be less afraid to be themselves and less judgemental.

“Some are so nice to read I literally cry.”

How To Get A Vagina Complex In 6 Easy Steps

The vagina: an orifice of mystery and wonder! Do you have one? Do you like them? Are you just downright confused?

Many folks seem reluctant to discuss the female gentalia. So let’s get that out of the way right now.

For those who need a quick explanation and education of all those tricky folds and holes, here’s a handy diagram of female anatomy.

What’s inside? The uterus, cervix, ovaries, vagina, bladder (and its friends, ureters). What’s outside? The labia, minora and majora, the clitoris, the urethral opening (also bladder’s buddy). These make up the vulva, which is the too infrequently used term to describe all the external goodies. I would assume you already know all this, except that once I assisted a young woman in childbirth who thought urine and babies came out of the same hole. So let’s not make any hasty assumptions.

As an aside: I employed Our Bodies Ourselves as my personal lady bible in my early 20s. I feel pretty strongly that this book should be gifted to everyone who either has or is interested in vaginas. It would save us vagina owners a lot of time explaining where the hot buttons are to bumbling men (especially fledgling men in their teenage years) who think everything great is on the inside, because of course everything that’s great to them is on the inside.

All that being said, what I want to address is all the strange shit we do to our vaginas. Yes. Strange shit. When I was born with a vagina (and vulva) no one presented me with any sort of handbook for the care and grooming of said body part. Silly me, I thought the darn thing took care of itself. Little did I know I was sorely mistaken and had a vagina complex.

Shave It

Remove that hair! Don’t you dare leave it down there all fluffed and tangly!

Everyone likes a tidily groomed, if not wholly shorn, bush. Use a razor, but cut it with scissors first, because there’s no razor equipped to handle the influx of those nasty, thick curly hairs. Do not accidentally cut your labia minora. This will A. hurt and B. cause significant blood loss. If you like, you can shave it into the shape of a heart. A cute bush is a loved bush.

You know what? Actually forget it. Don’t shave it, get it waxed. And by that I mean pay someone $50 to scald you with hot parrafin and then rip your genital fur off in one fell swoop. While you’re at it, go big, go brave, go Brazilian. Who wants a hairy anus accompanying their bald vulva? That’s rhetorical because the answer is no one.

Bleach It

While we are discussing the butt, let’s tackle bleaching. Oh, what’s that you say? You haven’t inspected your anus to determine if it’s the appropriate color? Pro tip: The appropriate color is pink. (If you’re fair skinned, and only slightly darker if you’re not). Any other color—like brown!—is unacceptable and should immediately be bleached back to its original state of pink pucker. This is to detract from the sad reality that poop comes out of it. Which, this just in, is not sexy. (Unless you’re into that sort of thing.) (And if you are, you definitely want it pink. And puckered.)

Don’t Forget The Vulva

While you’re paying someone $75 to bleach your anus, see if they offer a two-for-one discount and get your labia thrown in. Dark labia are used labia and that’s not sexy either. Back to pink they go. This will probably cost you another $75 but it’s totally worth it to circumvent the embarrassment of having to explain the color of your vulva to your partner(s). They are looking.

Scent It

Natural vaginas smell gross. Fish. Meat. Eggs. Sour milk. Everything unsavory you can imagine. Get thee to Amazon stat. No, no, you don’t want to actually go into a drugstore to buy vaginal deodorant. If you do that, the clerk will be forced to conclude that your vagina smells . . . not good. Ignore the warnings from ACOG, they don’t even know what they’re talking about. Doctors. They think they know everything. Lucky for you there are powders, sprays, and wipes, so you are offered an array of options. Just to be safe you should probably buy all three. This way you’ll smell like a summer breeze and no one will even know you have a vagina.

Flush It

While you’re scenting it, go ahead and rinse it out too. Yeah that’s right, a douchebag isn’t just an insult. It’s an actual, blissfully helpful thing. You can use vinegar and water, if you like to smell like pickles, or baking soda and water if you like to smell like, well, baking soda. But don’t use them together because then your vagina will turn into one of those volcano experiments you did in grade school. And while an erupting vagina might look awesome, it’s probably not a good choice. Unless you’re a porn star. In which case, get thee back to the Shave and Bleach It section ASAP.

Fix It

If you’re old or have had babies, or just a lot of sex with giant dildos, your vagina has probably lost its youthful vigor. Kegels aren’t going to cut it. So just go ahead and put aside the several thousand dollars you’ll need to hire a plastic surgeon to make it smaller. Don’t worry, it barely hurts at all to have an elective episiotomy. In four weeks you’ll be back to your pre intercourse/baby/old lady state of super tight awesome vagina wonderland. Your partner (if he’s male) will thank you for this because no one wants to do it with a saggy vagina.

And while you’re busy shrinking your vagina hole, have that trusty doc go ahead and shave off some of the labia. Again this barely hurts. If you’ve already given birth, it hurts way less than that. You can handle it. Because lettuce leaf labia are just plain ugly, and they totally get in the way of the scissors you need to use to cut your hair before your Brazilian.

The dangerous rise of vaginal lightening

“This is a serious issue and I cannot allow anyone to make light out of it,” Eva Taub tells me. “To me it’s very serious, and to the thousands of women I see it’s very serious, and they cry and they are upset. As a woman, maybe, you can understand. It’s a real issue.”

Taub is a 63-year-old esthetician who emigrated from the former Czechoslovakia 33 years ago; her spa, Bay Harbor Med Spa, has locations in Atlanta and Miami Beach. She is also a popular YouTuber whose channel, the extremely straightforwardly named SkinCareChannel, has more than 100,000 subscribers.

It’s easy to see her appeal: With her dyed hair, chunky glasses, and thick Eastern European accent, Taub comes off like a slightly more cosmopolitan Dr. Ruth. Her uber-search-optimized videos offer tips on everything from laser hair removal to how to treat chapped lips.

Her most popular videos by far are about vaginal lightening, which involves using a specialized treatment to lighten the vulva or general bikini area. (It does not, as the term would seem to imply, lighten the vagina itself, which is located on the inside of the body.) Most practitioners treat the labia majora, or the external lips of the vulva; many people request lightening the labia minora, or inner lips, as well, though this is not recommended and many practitioners will not do it.

In her practice, Taub estimates that she gets four or five requests for the treatment per day; in terms of the popularity of the services she offers, she says it is a “50-50” split between vaginal lightening and laser hair removal. She’s seen the number of requests spike in the past few years due to her speaking openly about the subject on her YouTube channel. (Note: While women are not the only people with vaginas, the treatment is primarily marketed to women.)

Like many trends devoted to improving the aesthetics and overall performance of the vagina and the area surrounding it, from labiaplasty to Brazilian waxing to Gwyneth Paltrow-endorsed jade eggs, vaginal lightening is often attributed to the widespread prevalence of internet porn, as performers tend to have lighter, more compact vulvas.

“When you look at the porno industry, for the most part, you see Hungarian, Russian, Eastern European girls. They’re light-skinned girls with pink vaginas and anuses who’ve never had any babies,” Taub says. “Everyone wants that. Everyone wants a pink anus.”

But the truth about why so many people request vaginal bleaching — and why, as Taub recounts, it is a source of immense anguish for many — is more complicated and more distressing than that. There are also numerous safety risks. Generally speaking, the American Committee of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has taken a stance against the rise of genital cosmetic procedures, writing that people should “be informed of their potential complications, including infection, altered sensation, dyspareunia, adhesions, and scarring.”

It’s not uncommon for labias to darken with age, says Alyssa Dweck, a gynecologist in Westchester County, New York. “Women sometimes worry about the skid marks and war scars that occur from childbirth and chafing from thongs and what have you,” she says. “And one of the things that changes over time is pigmentation.”

While discoloration can sometimes be caused by underlying medical issues, such as eczema or psoriasis, for the most part, it’s simply a consequence of being a person in the world with a vagina. “It’s not abnormal or uncommon,” says Dweck.

In the past, vaginal and anal bleaching were largely the purview of porn performers and exotic dancers — basically, people whose incomes were dependent on having pristine genitalia. “This is a trend that started in the porn industry,” says Dweck. “ always wanted vulvas and vaginas and anuses to look more youthful and less pigmented.”

Thanks to the widespread availability of internet porn, as well as references to intimate bleaching in pop culture ephemera like Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Bridesmaids, and, bafflingly, an Ed Sheeran song, more people have started seeking out the service. “The women I see want their vulva to match the rest of their skin and get a more pubescent-type look,” says Dweck.

And while this may sound like an uncomfortable procedure, Grace Evangeline, a Florida-based sex worker who regularly bleaches her anus, insists it is anything but. “It doesn’t hurt at all,” she says. “It just feels like gel, but not a thick/sticky feeling.”

Many high-end spas have started offering vaginal and anal bleaching, from laser treatments to specialized peels to lighten the area. Cindy Barshop is a former “Real Housewife of New York” and the proprietor of New York City’s V-Spot Medi Spa, which provides a laundry list of services such as vaginal steaming, labia plumping, and a 24-karat gold wax.

V-Spot started offering vaginal lightening a year ago. The treatment involves an in-office mandelic acid peel, an almond extract-based peel that is purported to break down the melanin in the skin and lighten the area, followed by an at-home treatment of 60 exfoliant pads. The goal is to slough off the superficial top layer of the skin, thus leading to a more even and lighter skin tone.

At first, “I was surprised how important it was to women,” Barshop said. “But a lot of women get it because you can see the spots on the side when they wear bathing suits or when they’re naked, and a lot of times they’re more visible because people remove the hair in the area.”

It is now one of V-Spot’s most requested services. (In fact, when I reached Barshop by phone, she said she was using the at-home vaginal lightening treatment while she was speaking to me.)

Additionally, there are hundreds of search-optimized DIY vaginal lightening hacks on YouTube, as well as a thriving cottage industry for vaginal and anal lightening creams such as Divine Derriere, a millennial pink-packaged cream and a serum, and Pink Privates, which is sold by the company Body Action. Per a 2013 report, the global skin lightening product market is worth an estimated $19.8 billion, though it’s unclear exactly how many of these sales can be attributed to anal or vaginal bleaching products.

Grace Power is the founder and creator of My Pink Wink LLC, which sells an eponymous anal bleaching cream and a product called Bleach Babe, a discreetly packaged, $39.99 product that claims to contain “unique peptides that brighten the skin.” (Both products use the same formula.)

An esthetician by training, Power was inspired to create the product in the mid-aughts, after women came in with complaints about darker labia or linea negrea, a dark line on the stomach that occurs during pregnancy and may be slow to fade for some women after delivery.

“They were asking, ‘Is it normal that I’m darker there? Can I get rid of it?’” she remembers. “They knew what their skin was before the baby and they wanted to get to that level.”

Since she started offering the product in 2007, Power estimates she has sold approximately 2 million to 2.5 million jars of My Pink Wink, as well as 300,000 to 500,000 jars of Bleach Babe. She says sales have dipped in recent years due to increased competition in the space: When she started out, “There were only two to three anal bleaching creams out there, and now there’s just tons.” Nonetheless, My Pink Wink brings in a tidy income for Power, and she says she still sells about 2,000 jars of the cream per month.

My Pink Wink is poorly reviewed: 40 percent of the users on Amazon who have tried it have given it a one-star rating, with phrases like “ineffective” and “a waste of money” popping up throughout the comments. (Power chalks up the bad reviews to people not using the cream for long enough: “Everybody nowadays wants instant results,” she scoffs. “It’s not gonna be an overnight success.”)

But generally speaking, the medical community’s concerns about the vaginal lightening trend have less to do with efficacy and more to do with safety. The American Committee of Obstetricians and Gynecologists has taken a stance against the rise of genital cosmetic procedures, writing that people should “be informed of their potential complications, including infection, altered sensation, dyspareunia, adhesions, and scarring.”

Dweck has witnessed these firsthand, saying people have come into her office “because they’ve had complications having it done,” citing allergic reactions, rashes, or burning.

Many bleaching products also include hydroquinone, a chemical that is purported to have skin-lightening properties. Hydroquinone has been banned in many European Union countries due to its link to a serious, albeit rare, skin disorder called ochronosis, which causes the skin to darken and thicken.

Though the Food and Drug Administration proposed a ban on skin-bleaching products containing hydroquinone in 2006, it is currently legal to sell products containing less than 2 percent hydroquinone in the United States.

My Pink Wink does not use hydroquinone. Taub also refuses to use any products featuring the ingredient in her practice. (When I asked her what the risks were, she said flatly, “Only cancer”; while this has not been proven in humans, a handful of rat studies have pointed to potential carcinogenic effects in animals.)

V-Spot, however, does use hydroquinone in its at-home treatment. When asked about the safety of the chemical, Barshop referred me to a number of studies refuting the assertion that hydroquinone is linked to cancer in humans or exceptionally high rates of ochronosis. “It is a drug that has been used by millions of people for decades that has superior results over other options,” she says. “It really just has a bad reputation.”

In addition to the safety concerns posed by ingredients like hydroquinone, vaginal lightening treatments have also been accused of perpetuating unrealistic body image ideals and exploiting people’s insecurities about their vulvas. “Some women have been body-shamed into thinking they don’t have the quote-unquote ‘right vulva,’ so they will aim to do this,” Dweck says.

When Huda Beauty, the company founded by Instagram beauty guru Huda Kattan, published a blog post instructing people on how to lighten their vulvas, the backlash was immediate and intense: “Vaginal lip darkening is NATURAL,” one commenter wrote. “You don’t need to make it lighter so you look like a prepubescent little girl to ‘appease’ men.”

Barshop rejects the suggestion that vaginal lightening is anything but 100 percent sexually, spiritually, and emotionally empowering. “I don’t believe it exploits anyone’s insecurities. … I think it’s about women empowering themselves to feel good about themselves,” she says. “It’s not like I’m selling this or promoting it as something being wrong with your vagina.”

She says she gets a wide range of clients in terms of age and race, but the one thing they have in common is that “they take care of themselves. You know, they work out.”

Evangeline echoes that sentiment, saying she’s never been told to bleach her anus by a director or a sexual partner. “I do it for myself because if I know the area is darker, I’ll just keep thinking I don’t look my best,” she says. “Same reason I retouch my hair color or my nails — just to feel better and be my best me.”

Taub, however, paints a more complex picture of the type of woman who comes to her for vaginal lightening. In addition to the hundreds of emails she gets from people who come across her videos, she regularly does consultations with women in their 20s and 30s, who she says often come in after being shamed by their partners.

“Seventy percent of the time, it is the woman who wants to please their partner,” she says. When this happens, “usually I say, ‘You go home and take your telephone and you ask your boyfriend or husband to drop his pants and go forward, and I want you to take a picture of his anus and testicles. And if they are white or pink, I promise, I will do whatever you want.’”

There’s also an additional complicating factor, one that makes the vaginal lightening trend arguably even more distressing than, say, the rise of Brazilian waxing, or “detoxifying” methods like vaginal steaming: It seems to be particularly popular among women of color. Taub, who specializes in treating women of color, estimates that 70 percent of the people who find her on YouTube and contact her about vaginal lightening are black or Latino. And indeed, the skin lightening product market in general is huge in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, due to internalized colorism and lighter skin shades being prized over darker ones.

If you look at the other YouTubers posting videos about DIY lightening hacks, as well as the comments on Taub’s channel, many, if not most, of them are from women of color. For the most part, they’re asking questions that are as pragmatic as they are heartbreaking: Does this work for underarms as well? How long do I have to leave it on to work? Can you come to my country and do this for me? Where can I buy this?

“If you read the comments that come from black women who feel they have less of a value because they are dark, if they bleach themselves or lighten themselves, they will find a partner,” Taub says. “And it makes me very angry.”

While she says her clientele is fairly racially diverse, Barshop says that generally speaking, more people of color may be interested in vaginal lightening because hyperpigmentation, or excess production of melanin, is both more prominent and more common among people with darker skin.

“If you have lighter skin, your hair follicles are usually finer, so when you get waxes, it’s not such a disruption to the skin that you get dark spots,” she explains. “If you have darker skin, you have coarser follicles. So darkening of the area is more likely to result from something like a wax, or rubbing of the jeans.”

Barshop denies that the vaginal lightening trend has anything to do with people trying to achieve unrealistic or racist beauty standards: “They’re not trying to lighten the area to look like a white person. They’re trying to even the skin tone out.”

But the very idea that people of color need to have uniformly colored pudendae to begin with — or that one skin color is inherently “better” than another — is, in itself, horrific. And people in the lightening industry are reinforcing this idea as well as profiting from it, as Power perhaps unwittingly demonstrated in our conversation. “When Caucasian women are dark, a light brown or a tan,” Power said. “But dark brown or Indian women — that skin is, like, black. There’s a really big contrast. And it does look kind of dirty. Their knees will be dark and it looks kind of dirty.”

To make matters worse, for some people, these feelings of shame around skin tone have been internalized to such an extent that they will resort to extreme measures to make their body parts seem lighter, more “clean.” “I’ve had women trying to scrub their skin thinking they could scrub off the melanin,” says Power. “And they’ve made their skin raw.”

But she doesn’t see the desire to have lighter private parts as a racial or even cultural issue. In fact, she says she has never considered the prospect of businesses like hers encouraging people to feel bad about their bodies. As an esthetician, she views the quest to have a light vulva as a purely aesthetic one.

“It’s a completely cosmetic thing,” she says. “It’s like women getting their eyebrows shaped. It’s not natural to have perfectly shaped eyebrows. But we want them.”

Taub is a bit more circumspect. Although lightening is a major part of her business model, not to mention her YouTube content strategy, she says she resents her clients’ partners for making them feel insecure about the color of their private parts.

“It is in my opinion inhumane and wrong to make women feel subzero because of their vaginas,” she says. Still, she provides the service, and she gives her clients the information they’re looking for. The way she sees it, it’s preferable to the alternative: someone sitting in their bathroom, watching skin lightening hacks on YouTube, scrubbing their skin till it is raw and bleeding.

Because despite what many of us may think about vaginal lightening — that it’s risky, that it’s unnecessary, that it’s the unfortunate byproduct of a culture that, despite the progress we’ve made in terms of gender equality, is only getting more creative at shaming women for their bodies and their sexuality — the fact still remains: “Whether I advertise it or not,” says Taub, “people want to be lighter.”

Is It Possible to Have a Loose Vagina?

Pelvic exercises are a great way to strengthen your pelvic floor muscles. These muscles are part of your core and help support your:

  • bladder
  • rectum
  • small intestine
  • uterus

When your pelvic floor muscles weaken from age or childbirth, you may:

  • accidentally leak urine or pass wind
  • feel the constant need to pee
  • have pain in your pelvic area
  • experience pain during sex

Although pelvic floor exercises can help treat mild urinary incontinence, they aren’t as beneficial for women who experience severe urinary leakage. Your doctor can help you develop an appropriate treatment plan that suits your needs.

Interesting in strengthening your pelvic floor? Here are some exercises you can try:

Kegel exercises

First, you need to identify your pelvic floor muscles. To do so, stop midstream while you’re peeing. If you succeed, you figured out the right muscles.

Once you do, follow these steps:

  1. Pick a position for your exercises. Most people prefer lying on their back for Kegels.
  2. Tighten your pelvic floor muscles. Hold the contraction for 5 seconds, relaxing for another 5 seconds.
  3. Repeat this step at least 5 times in a row.

As you build up strength, increase the time to 10 seconds. Try not to tighten your thighs, abs, or butt during Kegels. Just focus on your pelvic floor.

For the best results, practice 3 sets of Kegels 5 to 10 times a day. You should see results within a few weeks.

Pelvic tilt exercises

To strengthen your vaginal muscles using a pelvic tilt exercise:

  1. Stand with your shoulders and butt against a wall. Keep both of your knees soft.
  2. Pull your bellybutton in toward your spine. When you do this, your back should flatten against the wall.
  3. Tighten your bellybutton for 4 seconds, then release.
  4. Do this 10 times, for up to 5 times a day.

Vaginal cones

You can also strengthen your pelvic floor muscles by using a vaginal cone. This is a weighted, tampon-sized object that you put in your vagina and hold.

Shop for vaginal cones.

To do this:

  1. Insert the lightest cone into your vagina.
  2. Squeeze your muscles. Hold it in place for about 15 minutes, twice a day.
  3. Increase the weight of the cone you use as you become more successful in holding the cone in place in your vagina.

Neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES)

NMES can help strengthen your vaginal muscles by sending an electric current through your pelvic floor using a probe. The electrical stimulation will cause your pelvic floor muscles to contract and relax.

You can use a home NMES unit or have your doctor perform the treatment. A typical session lasts 20 minutes. You should do this once every four days, for a few weeks.

How to Tighten Your Vagina at Home: Shocking Facts Revealed Inside! [2019]

Being a woman is no easy job; our patience and tolerance are tested in a number of ways that are totally inevitable to us.

Of course, life itself is quite challenging but the complexities we women get to encounter are far more intense than what men get to face.

Childbearing, hormonal imbalance and menopause are some natural processes that are counted as a part of womanhood.

All these natural processes end up at some bitter notes and one such note is the loosening of vagina.

But thankfully, there are remedies for flabby vagina, methods that are quite useful in restoring the pre-stretched state of your loose vagina.

Vaginal slackness is a problem that is completely natural and very much common.

Experiencing a problem like this is not something to feel shameful about as there are a variety of problem solvers that are simply helpful in firming and reinstating the elasticity of your pelvic muscles.

On top of being effective, there are certain methods that work too fast, ensuring a tightly packed vagina in a matter of days.

Spoiler alert: Surgery- is not one of the methods we are referring to!

As your vagina starts to lose its elasticity and the muscles start to stretch, problems pertaining to your sexual life start to emerge.

No wonder, widened genitals could never give you the same level of pleasure you once used to get with the compressed ones.

Other than that, it affects your confidence in bed for you constantly worry about being less of satisfaction for your other half in bed.

Sadly, you will come across women who will rather choose to suffer than standing against the problem that is affecting their peace of mind.

For them, problems like these are too personal to keep it to themselves than letting people know about it.

What if you get to know about something that can keep this private concern to yourself, whilst, creating that life-altering change secretively?

Would you still prefer to suffer in silence then?

v tight gel

V tight gel is a cream you can try for some noticeable, vaginal tightening effects.

The brand ensures quality with the promise to squeeze your vaginal muscles at its best.

When combined with a recommended regime comprising of exercises and diet, one can generate the similar level of effects that are rooted by vaginoplasty.

Well, this is something surgeons will never want you to learn!

V tight gel will let you overcome the concern without stepping out or letting others know what you are up to.

Unlike many cheap and low quality vag tightening products, V-tight gel is the result of extensive research, trials and testing.

A slack lady part could be the cause of shattered confidence in bed.

Of course, we all love to be loved and return the favor through the same amount of satisfaction our partner gives us through intimacy.

However, with a loose vagina, there is no guarantee or say, there are poor chances of your partner getting up completely contented from the encounter.

Thereby, accepting, gathering the needed courage and stepping forward for a change is what it takes you for a completely altered sexual life.

Believe it or not- while you are here, you have almost crossed the half way for a compact, virgin-like vulva!

V-tight gel can sure work as an alternate for Vaginoplasty, provided that you use it as per its set of instructions.

The product comes with a complete guide that assists the users about its do’s and don’ts, instructions, recommendations and ways to enhance their effects with V-tight gel.

No wonder, precision with the guide means making your way to a taut vagina- speedily.

As stated earlier, a product like this could save you from spending a fortune on vaginoplasty, in secrecy, in budget and within your comfort!

So, are you ready for a steamier and pleasure-filled intimacy? You better be!

Similar to the other muscles in our body, the vaginal muscles too, lose their elasticity, firmness, and tissues for a number of reasons.

Vaginal tightening exercises

These muscles too, need rejuvenation for the restoration of their health, strength and firmness they had earlier.

Realizing this important aspect is very important if you are failing to enjoy sex or your partner is complaining about his poor sexual pleasure with you.

Sex is more satisfying when the vaginal canals are tighter and firmer.

No wonder, constant penetration into a stretched tight vagina increases the chances of experiencing orgasms far more than with a flabby one.

And so, what more of happiness when you have a spicy sexual life and are capable enough of fulfilling your partner’s sexual need every time he comes closer to you?

Isn’t it the boost for your intimate confidence?

Personally, I am sure of the results generated by the product I am recommending, that is, V-Tight Gel.

In fact, I have witnessed it saving many women with the distress of feeling insufficient, from my social circle.

For them, intercourse is more fun now with orgasms they seldom used to have. I simply don’t doubt why it is the leading Vag tightening brand or claims it to be.

To say the least, it can revive the lost glory of your romantic relation and help you feel ‘wanted’ again.

The science behind a loose vagina is not something complicated or hard to understand.

As we know, the vagina is a muscle that tends to be firm and elastic in general.

However, with time, or under certain circumstances, it tends to lose its elasticity, causing the muscles encompassing the genitals to relax.

In a situation like this, the lady part gets stretched or loosens up.

Factors that do or do not affect the elasticity of vagina are:

1. Childbearing:

As a woman gets closer to the delivery moments, her genital muscles start to contract and enlarge repeatedly.

Besides this, when the baby make its way out of the vagina, the canal tends to expand.

This contracting, enlarging and expanding ultimately affects the elasticity of the muscles, causing them to stretch and slack.

No wonder, childbearing has a connection with a flabby vagina, but thankfully, when the nature runs its course, it enables the muscles to get back to their pre-stretched state.

However, back to back deliveries cause permanent loosening of vagina as it does not get enough time to bounce back to its original condition.

So, this is the foremost reason behind the slacking of vaginal walls.

2. Vaginal lubrication:

Now there is a difference between wetness and excessive lubrication which is often misinterpreted as the stretched up vagina.

Of course, we women tend to get wet as an indicator that our body is geared up for penetration, however, some women lubricate a lot which leaves the men unsatisfied due to poor friction- something that causes pleasure for them.

In a case like this, dissatisfaction is not rooted by flabby vagina, but due to over-lubrication that is often caused by the intake of medicines or drugs.

However, substance abuse and medication are not the only factors to be blamed; hormonal imbalance too triggers undue discharge that makes the encounter less of fun.

So if you or your partner is leaving the bed unsatisfied, try to identify the actual cause than making random assumptions.

Through this, you will be in a better state to address the concern wisely.

3. Excessive sex:

It is generally assumed that an excess of sex makes you loose down there.

We further get to hear that those who crave more for sex are more likely to lose the youthfulness of their genitals way earlier than those who seldom involve in sexual activities.

Well, let me be clear here! An excess of sex has nothing to do with your vagina, or even with a penile!

Sexual activities have no negative impact on your vaginal walls. In fact, some researchers suggest that regular sex adds to your mental and physical health, while orgasms fortify the vaginal canals through contractions that serve as the exercise for the muscles.

Thereby, we can say that orgasms or a fulfilling sex actually contributes to a super compressed vagina.

4. Aging:

As we age, our muscles start to lose its strength and tissues and we get weaker and weaker with every passing year.

The pelvic floor muscle that supports our organs like uterus and bladder too, get affected with the aging process, like any other muscle in the body.

Poor strength and weak pelvic muscle is equivalent to a slack vagina or say, a decline in sexual pleasure.

But thankfully, as we can train and retain our muscles through exercises, likewise, we can prevent the weakening of pelvic muscles through exercises.

However, if the damage has been done, that is, your vagina has lost its elasticity by now, you can still work on to restore its health and youthfulness.

In addition to exercise, eating healthy is equally important.

5. Menopause:

Menopause accompanies with a set of distressing symptoms that have a toll on your psychological and physiological health.

One of these symptoms is poor production of estrogen that further promotes a plethora of problems for women in particular- that are in dire need of a hormone like this.

Importantly, poor estrogen is also related to the slacking, weakening and drying of vagina walls.

6. Hormonal imbalance:

Aging generally results in impairing the balance of essential hormones in a woman’s body, like DHEA, Omega3 and 6, estrogen and so.

This impairing occurs as the body’s ability to generate hormones gets affected due to the normal aging process.

All these deprivation causes the pelvic floor muscles to relax and stretch.

These were some genuine causes and myths pertaining to the loosening of vagina.

You now probably know what has loosened you up down there!

There are several factors that hint towards the weakening or stretching out of vaginal walls.

loose vagina

For example, if you manage to slide in two fingers into your vagina effortlessly and easily, something isn’t ‘tight’!

Another important way to determine is to observe whether or not sex is fun for you.

You know how sex feels right?

You know how you reach your orgasms? But if, sex is not as fun as it used to be, or your partner is directly or indirectly resisting from sex, then it’s probably a red flag for you!

Thirdly and very importantly, if you find yourself looking for some big objects to masturbate, chances are that your vaginal walls are not as narrow as you probably think they are.

There are some simple, handy and inexpensive routes to a healthy and taut vagina if your preference is not surgery.

It is a tried and tested way to attain results that are certain through procedures like vaginoplasty.

In the beginning, Kegel may sound a bit confusing to you but the moment you learn to perform it accurately, you would not mind following it 5-6 times a day.

All it takes is locating the right spot to target to.

To perform simply:

  • Lie down straight on your back and shift your focus on your PC muscles that hold up your organs like vagina, uterus and bladder.
  • Compress the muscle as if you are stopping the urine from flowing.
  • Hold it for 5 seconds before relaxing.
  • Follow the move 10 times, for 5-6 times a day.
  • As you become familiar with Kegel, try to increase the compression time, as well as the frequency of reps.

You may not be unfamiliar with this inclusive fitness staple, but you might be unaware with its amazing effects for a roomy vagina.

But to reap the most out of squats, followers have to be regular and precise while carrying out the movements.

Here are the steps to ensure you are doing squats the right way needed:

  • While reaching at your lowest level, pull yourself up to the original position.

Next we have is vaginal cone- another proven and natural technique to compress your vagina.

Cones for Vagina

Let me tell you, a vaginal cone looks like a sanitary tampon, but is quite different.

It has weights that are meant to dangle while you place in the thin part gets into your vagina.

The mechanism of this practice too, is a bit challenging.

It involves gripping of weight through the vaginal muscles and later, adding on more weight to further challenge yourself.

This gripping has to be done for some minutes, for 2-3 times daily.

You can also resort to this move if you intend to ‘tighten up’ yourself.

Then again, you have to be accurate while training your pelvic muscles.

To perform this move, simply stretch-out flat on the floor. In a slow motion, pull your legs to the upwards, one at a time.

One thing you need to keep in mind while performing leg ups is that you have to keep your leg completely stretched while you lift or lower it.

Only by this, you will be able to perform it in the right manner.

Invest 15 minutes for 2-3 times daily – to enjoy some satisfying results in months.

This specific practice is highly recommended for women who are failing to get advantage from kegel alone.

The combo, let me tell you, is quite deadly when it comes to the strengthening, toning and firming up of genital muscles.

It involves placing of balls into the vagina, with different weights.

During the insertion, you have to make sure that the ball stays within and does not move out of the labia- sounds difficult?

Well, this is what the essence of this practice. Even though, it is a bit challenging, but quite helpful for sure.

Initially, you should use the eggs all alone, but as you move to a progressive stage, you should consider adding weights combined with the balls.

On a whole, a practice like this is highly favorable for the narrowing and better controlling of vaginal walls.

The method may be new to your ears, but is quite a tested one.

There comes a wand that is made to constrict and moisturize vagina at a speedy pace.

Apart from this, the wand further prevents odor and possible infections through disinfecting the muscles.

The practice is quite result-bearing and is supported by encouraging feedback.

But with natural herbs, the course is long and it requires a great deal of resilience to adhere to the application.

On top of these herbs, the application of aloe vera extract is also fruitful in restoring the moisture and tightness of vaginal muscles.
