Why are these charms stamped 2018 but u couldn’t even buy them from Psychopathic’s site all year….or was there something I missed ? Cuz I had a charm from hatchet gear from 2000 or 2001 when they first had them on hatchet gear and I lost it when my house burnt down and have wanted to get a legit one again ever since

There are 2 different 2018 versions but I don’t know if they were ever sold through psy online or not. I just know Alligator Jesus is the mastermind behind these beauties, as well as the 2000’s and the ’99s too I believe. Basically all the best official charms lol. Except the 2000 with the stupid hair, fuck that thing.

The Hatchetman, Psychopathic Record’s logo, designed by Joseph Utsler

The Hatchetman is the name of the logo for Psychopathic Records, called as such due to the figure resembling a person performing The Running Man while wielding a hatchet.

CreationEdit

In 1991, Insane Clown Posse and then-manager Alex Abbiss set out to create their own record label. When the choice came between naming it Mad Paperboy Records or Psychopathic Records, Joseph Utsler created a logo for each, scribbling them both on a napkin. The first logo, representing Mad Paperboy Records, depicted a running paperboy holding a newspaper. The second logo, representing Psychopathic Records, slightly varied by depicting a running man with dreadlocks holding a hatchet. The group decided on Psychopathic Records, and used the drawing Utsler had scribbled on the napkin as the company’s logo, calling it the Hatchetman.

In CultureEdit

Kazushige Nosawa with the Hatchetman tattooed on his neck.

The Hatchetman is often worn by Juggalos, usually by chains featuring the symbol as a charm or by tattoos. Japanese professional wrestler Kazushige Nosawa is known for his tattoo of the Hatchetman on his neck, as well as other Psychopathic Record related symbols. Rapper Vanilla Ice is often seen wearing the Hatchetman necklace and clothing featuring the logo.
