How Kate Hudson Lost Her Baby Weight in 6 Months

It’s been a work in progress, but it looks like Kate Hudson is well on her way to getting back to her goal weight after giving birth to her daughter, Rani Rose. People reports that her latest Instagram post celebrates a major milestone, though Hudson admits that she’s still got work to do after the celebrating.

“Okay my friends, wanted to share! I’m a couple lbs. from goal weight!” Hudson posted alongside a snapshot of her toned stomach and a cheeky expression.

Hudson, who is a WW (formerly known as Weight Watchers) ambassador, explained that she’s used the program in conjunction with exercise, though she insists that she’s not stressing about her food. Ever since she started posting about her quest to lose her baby weight, she’s emphasized the importance of moderation, saying that she’s not above a little extra here and there, whether it’s a slice of pie or a martini.

“I’ve done it without stressing on food or working out like crazy although I have been disciplined,” her post reads.

Though her progress seems super quick, Hudson stresses that she’s been patient with the process (something she’s addressed before) and grateful for the support system that she’s built, which includes the WW app, her Fabletics family, and her personal trainer, who has featured in many of her fitness updates.

“I’ve taken my time, I’ve stayed true to my @ww app which I am so grateful for our relationship and that they included me in their family because it’s an incredible set up,” she added. She also said that the process is different for her, because she’s always enjoyed working out, being athletic, and learning as much as she can about nutrition. She looked at is as a challenge and promised her followers that it’s still an ongoing process — she’s not done yet.

She told People that approaching her weight loss as a personal challenge has helped, since she’s always been competitive and enjoyed a challenge. She saw getting back into shape post-baby as a huge motivation, but also noted that having a movie to film didn’t hurt, either. She tracked the various steps of her weight-loss process on Instagram, giving her followers a look into her workouts, details of her diet plan, and peeks at her progress.

“I enjoy being disciplined. I enjoy being athletic, and I enjoy being active. So for me it’s actually kind of a fun time to challenge my body again in certain ways,” she said. “After pregnancy, getting your body back into shape for me — especially in fitness — finding my stomach muscles again and pushing myself a little bit harder sometimes are things that I enjoy.”

Kate Hudson Shares Weight Loss Diet Plans to Lose 10 Pounds in the New Year

It’s not uncommon to put on weight over the holiday season—and apparently, post-festive weight gain has happened to Kate Hudson. The actress, 40, revealed how much she currently weighs via Instagram on Thursday, plus her plans to lose 10 pounds now that the near year has begun.

In a video, Hudson shows herself stepping on a scale as the number settles at 135.9.

“So, post holiday I’m basically 136… I always round up!” she wrote in her caption. “I’m going to say 3-5lbs is mostly water and I’m a muscular frame so I weigh more even though I’m lean… important for people to understand that! Weight in muscle is a happy number!”

Hudson added that her “ideal weight” is 125, before sharing a series of videos demonstrating her new year diet and exercise plan.

The Almost Famous actress then said she plans to show her fans what she does “to stay on track” by following a routine from Weight Watchers. She gave a few examples of the foods she would be eating, including celery juice and black coffee. She also showed two short clips of an example meal for her new diet, which includes roasted sweet potatoes and shrimp with sherry vinegar and garlic.

After her meal, she shared a video of herself exercising on a trampoline, which she captioned, “Rebounding 30 minutes.” Hudson gave fans a peek at the turquoise yoga pants from Fabletics that she wore during the workout, giving a little shout out to the fitness attire brand she co-founded.

Hudson hasn’t shared any updates yet, but we have a feeling we’ll be seeing a lot more inspiration from her throughout the coming weeks.

The actress, who revealed her pregnancy in a surprise Instagram post in April, says expecting a girl has been very different from her previous two pregnancies. “They say girls make you sicker and that, for me, has been the truth,” she told People in an interview published on Thursday. “It’s been interesting so far.”

Kate said she’s really looking forward to “balancing out the masculine feminine in the house,” by giving sons Bingham, 6, and Ryder, 14, a little sister. “I’m no longer outnumbered. Well, we are still out numbered,” she said. “I look forward to having feminine energy.”

Kate said that, for her, pregnancy “is all about tuning in and listening” to her body. “The stakes are higher because it is not about you anymore, it is about this other being growing inside of you, but right now she is kind of letting me know that we have to take it easy,” she continued. “So I’m doing a lot of walking, I’m doing some amazing prenatal yoga that I’m loving, which I’ve never done with my pregnancies. So this is a first and it’s been amazing, but slow and steady.”

Kate first announced that she was pregnant in mid-April with a video from her gender reveal party. “SURPRISE!!! If you’ve wondered why I’ve been so absent on my social channels it’s because I have never been more sick!” she wrote in the caption. “ was the most sick first trimester of all my children. Boomerangs have made me nauseous, Superzoom is an easy way to have my head in the toilet, food Instagrams make me and thinking too much about Insta stories made me even more exhausted than I already had been.”

Kate said at the time that she and her family are “crazy excited” for their new addition.

This will be Kate’s first child with her boyfriend, Danny Fujikawa. The couple have been fairly low-key about their relationship, which they made public in May 2017. Kate later revealed that they’d known each other for years before they actually got together.

Kate Hudson just solidified her bombshell status. The actress and mom of three shared an Instagram of herself sporting a red hot bikini and showing off her super-toned bod.

Officially, it’s a birthday post for her friend, but Kate’s incredible abs totally steal the show. Each clearly defined abdominal muscle deserves a whole damn party, which is essentially what the comments became. One fan shared: “Wait is this Kate’s post baby bod?! I’m not ok 😭” (FYI: Since this is a birthday post, it’s not 100 percent clear when the pic was taken.)

Tbh, I did a double take when I first saw the photo. Is that really Kate? It didn’t take long to realize, yes, it is, and she does look that amazing. The appropriate reaction is sheer awe, followed by how?

So, what exactly did Kate do to create her toned physique? First, she became a Weight Watchers celebrity ambassador back in December. Two months after giving birth to her daughter, she set a weight loss goal of 25 pounds. “Health and wellness is my number one, and I always say what works for me doesn’t work for everyone,” Kate shared at the time.

By April, Kate reported she was nearing her goal weight. “I’ve done it without stressing on food or working out like crazy although I have been disciplined,” she said.

Since then, she’s shared updates to Instagram, showing her progress and blessing her followers with more of her workouts. Those include a variety of workouts and sessions with The Mirror. In her vids, Kate makes leg lifts, lunges, and more tough exercises look totally effortless. (If only that were truly the case, amirite?)

For some reason, the very same commenter felt the need to write, “At least I have pretty green eyes and my youth.” Beckinsale was ready with this zinger, “Yes darling at least you have those XX.”

When another person suggested that Beckinsale was “too old” to be posing in bikinis, the Underworld actress replied with a totally incredible essay-length response. Read it in full below.
