Skinny minnie Khloe Kardashian is at her smallest weight yet, but in a new interview, she revealed that she had to lose 40 pounds to get there.

Khloe Kardashian, 35, got incredibly honest about her weight loss in a new interview, revealing that at one point, she weighed as much as 203 lbs. The eye-opening chat, which was actually hosted by the reality star’s mom, Kris Jenner, 63, gave fans a direct insight to her fitness journey. “I gained 40 pounds during my pregnancy. I was 203 lbs. when I delivered, which blows my mind,” she said in the video. “You think you’re going to have a baby and all of it’s going to come out, and then you leave the hospital and you’re like, ‘What is going on? Why do I still have all of this weight?’” Khloe could be heard saying.

A sympathetic Kris then chimed in with her own revelation. “Back in the day, when I had my first baby, Kourtney, we didn’t really have things like Spanx and stretchy clothes,” she told her daughter. “We wore maternity clothes and afterwards I thought, ‘I’m getting rid of these big baggy dresses — I’m going to slip on my jeans.’ After one month of eating good and exercising, I put on my jeans thinking, ‘I am a rockstar’ — and they wouldn’t go over my knees. So it was back to the drawing board. I did not know what to do. I was so disappointed.”

The video arrived after Koko faced major backlash for using the word “fat” in the June 30 episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. While Facetiming a friend of Tristan Thompson’s, the star lost herself in a Tequila-fueled rage. “Liar! Liar! Tristan f**k you if you can hear me! They both admitted it to me. Both of them. Fat f**king a**holes,” Khloe yelled into the phone. Considering that Khloe combats body-shaming with her weight loss show, Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian, fans were upset by her word choice during the phone call.

Meanwhile, it’s inspiring to see Khloe shed so many pounds after revealing that she was at first disheartened by initial results she saw. “As soon as I got clearance from my doctor, I was ,” she said in an interview with People. “I was so excited to start working out again. Mentally I was there. But physically, I couldn’t do it. I was out of breath. I didn’t know how I was going to get to my end goal.” Just look at her now!

Khloe Kardashian admitted to ET’s Keltie Knight that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is still a struggle at times for her.

On Sunday, in lead up to the season two premiere of Revenge Body, the pregnant reality star shared a photo on Instagram of herself from 2010 alongside a more recent selfie of her in a bikini, pre baby bump!

“Sometimes it’s hard for me to post these transformation posts only because I can’t imagine my life being this unhealthy again,” she captioned the post in part. “Never would I ever consider myself fat, but I would consider myself unhealthy mentally/physically and not knowing my true value. Mind, body and soul. For me, my transformation journey started from within. I needed to heal myself from the inside out. Once I started putting myself first, everything started falling into place.”

Getty Images/Instagram

Khloe had similar words of wisdom to share with ET, while also confessing that she at first found the term “revenge body” a little “aggressive.”

The 33-year-old Keeping Up With the Kardashians star added, “For me, I think it’s important to show people you can turn your life around. You can go through hell and high water but you can still come out and have a beautiful positive happy life.”

As for Khloe’s one piece of advice for someone looking to make a big change in their life, she shared, “I think we run away from the things we’ve done and we make those things shameful. …Just own whatever it is, and as soon as you come face-to-face with whatever those things that shame you, I feel like then you finally move on and move over them.”

Offering up even more guidance, the mom-to-be continued, “If you don’t change yourself from the inside out, you’re not going to change those habits that got you into the place that you that dark person.”

Khloe is certainly grateful to have come out from the dark side. “I am even prouder of myself that I’ve been able to maintain a healthy lifestyle for so many years. I broke that cycle and I’m happier than I have ever been!” she concluded her recent Instagram post. “You can do this!! Start from within and nothing can stop you. Elevate yourself — mind, body and soul.”

Khloe Kardashian Reveals ‘KUWTK’ Crew Knew She Was Pregnant Before Her Family

Khloe Kardashian Thinks Kris Jenner Co-Hosting ‘Today’s Fourth Hour Would Be ‘Epic’ (Exclusive)

If a genie appeared to grant some wishes, I have a feeling that “look like a Kardashian” would be near the top of mine. While all of these famous sisters give us serious body goals, Khloe is particularly inspirational. Like many women, she’s struggled to achieve a “perfect” figure. Her relatability and awesome attitude make her less of a celebrity goddess and more of a role model. She even gave us the term “Revenge Body,” which is a fitness goal I can get behind.

Want to steal Khloe Kardashian’s weight loss routine? Read on to learn diet and exercise tips that will have you looking fierce in no time at all.

Khloe Kardashian’s Weight Loss Journey

The Kardashian sisters are global celebrities who are constantly in the spotlight. Unfortunately, all that attention can sometimes turn toxic. Khloe Kardashian has admittedly always struggled with her weight. Negative comments from reporters and the public made things even hard for this stylish celebrity. Rather than giving up or giving in to these remarks, Khloe did something way better – got revenge!

After her messy divorce in 2013, Khloe decided to hit the gym and reinvent her image. She was so empowered by getting herself fit that she created the show “Revenge Body.” This reality fitness show gives people the opportunity to build confidence just like Khloe herself.

Khloe recently gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named True in April of 2018. She didn’t, however, let being a mom deter her fitness goals. In an interview just 3 months after the birth, Khloe reported that she was already down nearly 40 pounds. This lifestyle shift is not only awesome, it’s also apparent. Khloe K looks better than ever, and the results of her weight loss journey speak for themselves.

Khloe Kardashian’s Exercise Tips

Getting her revenge body took lots of hard work and exercise. Rather than one specific workout, Khloe Kardashian likes to mix up her weekly workouts. This tactic is proven effective, as it works out different parts of your body and keeps exercise fun. According to Khloe, circuit training, hot yoga, and SoulCycle have all contributed to her success.

Experts agree that mixing up your exercises is key to staying fit. It’s important to find workouts you enjoy. Just make sure that each week you are including cardio, high intensity interval training, and strength training. This combined with stretching or yoga can optimize your results and burn fat in no time.

Do It Yourself Workout

Gunnar Peterson is not only a Revenge Body trainer, he also is the man responsible for keeping the Kardashian sisters looking super sexy. I get it, you may not have the kind of cash to hire a personal trainer. One thing everyone does have, however, is YouTube. Check out some of Gunnar Peterson’s Revenge Body workouts online and get your sweat on in the comfort of your own home. It may not be a personal trainer, but it’s basically the next best thing.

Additional Tips

I get it – being a modern woman means being busy all the time. With that said, your health should always take priority. Khloe’s trainer Gunnar Peterson suggests keeping yourself on a rigid schedule. Rather than putting workouts off until the weekend or getting to them “later,” make them an integral part of your day.

Scheduling a workout at a certain time every single day will hold you accountable. Put it in your calendar, set an alarm on your phone, or any other method you need to remind yourself. Just like you would never dream of skipping a work meeting or doctor’s appointment, you should never dream of missing a scheduled workout.

Do It Yourself Scheduling

Some people like to keep their calendars digitally. Personally, I am a pen and paper kind of girl. Unless I physically write something down, it may or may not happen. Keep yourself on track by seeing exactly where your workout fits in. A planner can help you see all of your goals and track your progress along the way.

Burn Fat Fast

While a full-blown workout is preferred, sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in a day. If you can’t sacrifice an hour or two, there is a 5-minute workout that Khloe Kardashian absolutely loves – Jumping rope!

Jumping rope is a full-body workout that everyone can do. While it sounds simple and easy, this vigorous activity burns a ton of calories. According to experts, jumping rope for ten minutes can burn the same number of calories as a running an eight-minute mile. It has also been shown to improve bone density, hand-eye coordination, and cardiovascular health.

Do It Yourself Fat Loss

Who would have guessed that this childhood pastime could be the secret to burning fat fast? The best part about jumping rope is that it is easy, portable, and even a little fun. Invest in an athletic jump rope and a mat and keep them in your car or gym bag. That way, you can get your heart rate up no matter where the day takes you.

Khloe Kardashian’s Diet Tips

When it comes to her diet, Khloe sticks to a dairy-free diet that is high in protein and low in sugar. Take a look at this sample diet and learn how it can work for you.

Khloe’s Breakfast

Breakfast is truly the most important meal of the day. What you eat in the morning can determine how you feel for the rest of the day. In a recent interview, Khloe said that she eats a combination of eggs, oats, and fruit every morning. This balanced breakfast is one of the reasons her weight loss journey has been so successful.

A balanced breakfast is an excellent way to begin every day. Protein and fiber are incredibly important, as they keep you feeling full all day long. Fruits like blueberries and strawberries aren’t just delicious. High in anti-oxidants, berries also provide the body with important vitamins, minerals, and nutrients.

Sample Meal

Overnight Oats Topped With Berries and Honey & 2 Eggs

Khloe’s Lunch

Lunch can be a tricky meal. On hectic days, it’s easy to forget about it entirely. Unfortunately, skipping lunch almost always leads to over-eating later in the day. Alternatively, eating the wrong thing for lunch can leave you feeling sluggish. For lunch, Khloe says she opts for meals that are big on leafy greens.

Healthy salads that include protein-rich ingredients are ideal. Nuts, seeds, or lean meats (like salmon or chicken breast) are also incredibly delicious. These ingredients are full of protein and omega-3 fats, which help build muscle when you hit the gym. Don’t forget – dressing is an easy way to make any salad instantly unhealthy. Create your own rather than relying on the pre-packaged kind.

Sample Meal

Smoked Salmon & Avocado Salad

Khloe’s Snacks

Snacks can ruin an entire day’s worth of healthy eating. When it comes to healthy snacks, there are plenty of delicious options to choose from. Khloe Kardashian opts for fruits with a low glycemic index. Fruits like apples, oranges, grapefruit, cherries, and pears perfectly fit this description. The carbohydrates in these fruits break down slowly. This means they take less of a toll on your blood sugar and keep you feeling satisfied.

While fruit is great, carb cravings are a real thing. Luckily, there are healthy snacks that are so delicious, you’ll almost feel like you’re cheating. A thick, dairy-free smoothie is satisfying and easy to make ahead of time. Or, find a delicious, dairy- and gluten-free recipe that features peanut butter as the main ingredient.

Sample Snack

Peanut Butter Banana Smoothie

Peanut Butter Oatmeal Balls

Khloe’s Dinner

A balanced dinner is key to keeping your goals on track. When it comes to this meal, keep an eye on proportions. Skimping on vegetables may be tempting after a long day of dieting, but it isn’t ideal. Healthy starches add texture, variety, and flavor. They also ensure you get your carbs the healthy way.

Khloe Kardashian reports she frequently eats chicken, sweet potatoes, and roasted vegetables at dinner time. This healthy and delicious meal is easy to make, even on a busy and hectic week night. Plus, any leftovers can be saved and be packed for lunch the next morning. To sneak your veggies in, think outside of the box. Spiralized zucchini noodles or cauliflower rice make it easy to eat your greens.

Sample Meal

Spicy Chicken and Sweet Potato Bowls

Greek Chicken Zucchini Noodles

Do It Yourself Healthy Food

Additional Diet Tips

It would be great if all you needed to lose weight was a healthy diet. Unfortunately, our bodies sometimes have other plans. If you are super serious about losing weight, go the extra mile. These Kardashian-approved tips will set you up for success.

Beat the Bloat

Never one to hold back, Khloe has admitted that she suffers from bloating just like everyone else. Bloating is caused by water retention. When this happens, your abdomen, legs, and arms can look puffy and less firm. Depending on the amount of excess water in your body, it can make your weight fluctuate up to 5-pounds.

When on a weight loss journey, water weight can be incredibly frustrating. Luckily, a good diet can help combat this annoying issue. To beat the bloat, Khloe steers clear of any processed foods or salty snacks. Food that is high in sodium can lead to unwanted puffiness. Instead, she opts for foods like watermelon and avocado, which don’t cause bloating. Snacks like almonds, oats, yogurt, and bananas are also a great alternative.

Do It Yourself

Pre-pack single servings of healthy snacks into small containers and store them in your pantry. Usually, snacking occurs when we are rushing and need something quick and easy. Having something healthy and easy to grab ensures you always make good choices. Buying cute snack containers will also make you look forward to munching on your healthy treats.

Drink Plenty of Water

Hydration is key when it comes to getting fit. Don’t get confused – water weight isn’t caused by drinking lots of water. In fact, the opposite is true. Drinking ample amounts of water can reduce bloating and even help you achieve your weight loss goals.

Water curbs food cravings and makes you feel fuller faster, which leads better choices when meal times come around. Water also clears your body of unwanted toxins, helps burn fat, and can even boost your metabolism. Replacing sugary beverages (even diet sodas) with water is an easy and effective way to reach your goal weight.

Staying properly hydrated sounds easy. But if it was, everyone would do it. Studies show that nearly 40% of adult women aren’t drinking enough water. To set yourself up for success, have a few water bottles on hand. Keeping a stylish glass water bottle at your desk can be a fun way to track your progress during the day. Be sure to also keep a separate water bottle in your gym bag so you have water on hand when you really need it.

Life Straw Go Water Bottle – $45

Get Ahead of Your Cravings

Let’s face it, being on a diet is hard. Hunger is a very real factor that can lead to cheat days becoming far too frequent. All the hard work you put in at the gym isn’t going to work if you find yourself sabotaging your diet the rest of the day. If you find yourself overeating when mealtime rolls around, find ways to get ahead of your daily cravings.

Khloe Kardashian, for example, says she drinks a protein shake on the way home from the gym when hunger pains hit. This is far more thoughtful than just breaking down and hitting the drive-thru.

If there are certain times of day that you know your body starts craving food, combat that hunger in a healthy way. A small piece of chocolate can trick your body into thinking it ate a whole dessert. Healthy snacks in your pantry are perfect if you like late-night treats. Or, allow yourself to indulge in a protein shake just like Khloe does.

Foods that are already pre-packaged in healthy quantities is key if you find yourself frequently overeating. It’s also good to find snacks that satisfy you individual cravings. Some people crave salty snacks, while others prefer sweet treats or have a weakness for chocolate. Look for a variety pack of healthy snacks that can take care of any unexpected cravings that may occur. Then, stash them in places like your desk, car, or gym bag in case of emergency.

I’m just going to put this out there. Once a month, I have a recurring dream that I meet Khloé Kardashian and we take an instant shine to each other. Before the sequence is done, she’s introducing me to Kourtney and Kim as her raddest new friend. But as she reaches for her phone, right before we can take a selfie, I wake up, covered in clamminess and regret. I’m not telling you this so you can judge me for having a seriously vapid subconscious, but so you understand why I was inspired to literally live out my dream. And if I can’t meet the boldest, brassiest, most outspoken Kardashian sister, I thought, why not become her and then take my own gosh darned selfie. With Khloé gracing our cover of REDBOOK, I figured it was perfect timing to go on this journey. So I grabbed a copy of her freshly released book, Strong Looks Better Naked, fired up a request for a waist trainer and boob tape, and committed to living the next seven days with passion and intention, just like Khloé.

Part 1: The Workout

Khlo-Money, as she refers to herself, begins every morning at 5 a.m. with some hardcore body blasting. I compromised with a 7 a.m. wake up, hit snooze for 32 minutes and then I, too was ready to get sweaty with my celebrity personal trainer Save the Last Dance soundtrack.

I spent the first eight minutes of my waking hours shoving every last inch of my back bacon into my newly acquired Amia waist trainer (the one Khlo swears by / is probably paid to endorse).

Khloe Kardashian Instagram

It’s considerably more comfortable than it appears, which isn’t saying much seeing as it looks like a torture device Renaissance bar wenches were forced to wear for tips. Unlike the voluptuous maidens AS SEEN ON TV (read: the Kardashian Klan), I had an aggressive uni-boob and fupa for days. But I did stand a little bit prouder.

When I got the gym, I was relieved to find that it was just me and a standoffish pensioner, so I didn’t have to be embarrassed by my malformed physique or my commitment to wearing the controversial device, designed to make your tummy sweat more, because that’s apparently a good thing.

Besides having trouble reaching down for dumb bells, working out with a waist trainer on wasn’t quite the hell I was expecting it would be. Plus, I was distracted by my burning legs that hadn’t been exercised in weeks, besides an impromptu Kris Kross dance sesh, cause mac daddy always makes me jump.

After about six squats (Khlo is all about the legs), I was considering giving up, but then I remembered something she said in her book, “Suffering is not caused by pain but by resisting pain.” She was referring to how she coped with her post-Lamar heartache, not these butt busters, but I used the mantra to push on, that is until “Future” started rapping about pissing codeine, and I had to take a break to switch off Khloé’s playlist. Sorry, Khlo, I’m just more of a Paula Abdul kinda gal.

By the end of my 30-minute installment, I made the rookie mistake of weighing myself, thinking surely I must have dropped a solid 20 pounds in belly sweat alone. Feeling defeated by the number glaring back at me, my mind turned to a passage in Khloé’s book: “You’re training for life. Stop looking at the numbers on the scale. This is about health, not numbers. And stop being in such a rush. There is no elevator to success; you have to take the stairs.”

I happily mulled this over on the elevator ride back up to my apartment.

Part 2: The Diet

Koko Loko, as North calls her favorite aunt (sorry, Kourt) begins each day with a black coffee. Even if it makes her a sociopath.

Come 8 a.m., she has a big glass of water, oatmeal and a protein shake. I skip the oatmeal because I prefer my carbs to come with cake and grab a hard boiled egg instead (I enjoy the smell of feet in the morning). I try not to gag as my Khlo-kolored lipstick rubs off on the whites.

Later, I have my first sip of Lyfe Tea–a teatox which all of the Kardashians heavily hawk. I was nervous about trying something that had side effects celebrating impromptu poop, but down the hatch it went. Bring it, deviant cramps!

Khloe Kardashian Instagram

At 11 a.m., like KK, I snacked on an apple with peanut butter. It feels like a cheat because lunch is just two hours away, but whatevs, if Khlo can drop 35 pounds this way, I’m game.

By lunchtime, I was pumped to learn that her go-to is a Chinese chicken salad, but unlike the ones I still dream about from the Cheesecake Factory, her recipe involves none of that delightfully sugary dressing…or fried noodle crackers. Oh well. Life is about making sacrifices for what you believe in, like in this case, immediate weight loss.

At 3 p.m., she nibbles on some of her homemade hummus, chopped veggies, and edamame. I didn’t have time to hand smash chickpeas so I bought the cheap stuff from the supermarket that was about to turn.

Dinner at 7 is steamed veggies and salmon. Kind of a snore, but I spend the rest of the eve feeling smug about eating lean.

As a special treat, I make myself a Kris Jenner Kocktail, which is a vodka soda, but I felt like less of a heathen draining it on a school night, knowing it has such a klassy name. Luckily the elixir makes me forget about the fishy smell lingering in my shoebox apartment.

At 9, she delights in a bowl of fruit with plain Greek yogurt, but I didn’t feel like waking up all dairy gassy so I skipped that too. Plus, if I’m going to spike my glycemic levels while I’m trying to unwind, I at least want chocolate to be involved. Or a synthetic Quest bar that kinda, sorta, almost tastes like chocolate. Instead, I have some berry-infused water (Khlo keeps about 12 different bottles in her fridge, which I’m totally adapting).

All in all, her diet is very much doable. I repeated it for the rest of the week, knowing I’d be slipping into a whole lot of bodycon by the end, and admittedly I did feel more lithe, if a bit bored.

Part 3: H &M

H&M is what Khloé refers to as her hair and makeup (not to be confused with the store where I buy my cotton camisoles, aka, lingerie). My own regimen usually takes about 15 minutes—more if I decide to wash my locks, which according to clean hair-shamers, I do too often. My routine consists of applying about 12 coats of mascara, some light brow penciling, and the occasional liner, if I’m feeling fancy.

I grew up in a hair salon, watching my single mom stylist beautify folks every day. You’d think I would have picked up a thing or two but I am absolutely clueless when it comes to makeup application. Or maybe I’ve actively stayed ignorant over the years because I’m afraid that once I start learning how to wear foundation, the one day I stop, everyone will ask if I’m feeling sick. I’d rather pallid be my signature look.

So, I knew that in order to transform into my best, most Khlo-riffic self, I’d need to recruit an army of pros.

I’m actually going to watch this now and curl my hair.

A post shared by Khloé (@khloekardashian) on Oct 8, 2015 at 9:07am PDT

First came the spray tan, which according to an insider, the sistahs K do once a week. But it couldn’t be any old misting. I’m too method for that. Hot off spray painting the Victoria’s Secret goddesses for their annual fashion show— which didn’t make me feel self-conscious at all—artist to the stars, Krystin Pradas came to my studio for some private bronzing time. Forty minutes later, my pasty pooch had a lovely Armenian glow. Bonus: I got to keep the disposable underwear she gifted me. And although I smelled vaguely of livestock, I did look about two pounds slimmer.

Next came the makeup. A gal from the literal Glamsquad came to over to kountour the krap out of me. It’s like Uber, except instead of a car, a team is delivered to your home to pile on mounds of concealer while you’re still in your sweaty p’s. Or, in my case, some dirty jeans and half a Kardashian costume.

I was initially concerned that I’d love my new veneer so much that I’d become addicted to it like that dark chapter in 2000 when I never went anywhere without body glitter. But I am relieved to say that despite the best efforts of hyper-cool Brittany Whitfield, this will be my last attempt at face lacquer. My horrified husband couldn’t even look me in the smoky eye.

Of course the face mask makes sense for Khlo who has unforgiving lights and a camera pointed at her 12 hours a day, but it’s not for a commoner.

Later, I plopped my blonde-ish wig, courtesy of LUXHAIR NOW’s Sherri Shepherd collection, atop my thin hair because I didn’t have the foresight to try this experiment a month ago, when Khlo was still a brunette. As you can see from the photos, I looked like a dang fool, which is nothing against the wig—it was actually fantastic—but I learned quickly that I can pull off neither caramel-hues, nor extensions.

Feeling new levels of insecure as I approached my building’s lobby, my doorman, who didn’t recognize me beneath the gunk, gave my husband some serious side eye. Good to know that if my hubby ever took home an escort, Mo would have my back.

Part 4: Fashion

My style can be best summed up as man repellent—if it’s boxy, blousy, has a bow, or can double as maternity wear, I’ll buy it. In both colors. So it was with a great deal of trepidation that I embarked on the wardrobe portion of the Khloé transformation. Even back when she was the self-proclaimed fat sister, Khlo-Nasty has always embraced bodycon, which I have a great deal of respect for. As a child chubette myself with the sartorial sense of a Mennonite, I’ve long admired her confidence, coupled with her cardinal brand of DGAF attitude.

Here I am in middle school, pictured in my favorite sweater vest. Shout out to Uncle Michael for the loaner.

So, I blasted some Kanye, wriggled my banana loaf into some industrial strength Spanx, and pretended that my baby maker was not in fact showing for my first ensemble.

Getty Images

Next up, this NSFW jumpsuit.

In order to make it look this mediocre, my trusty husband had to help me affix two layers of boob tape. Before this moment, I never had reason to believe that my 31-year-old blouse bunnies were anything but perky (ish) but I was suddenly questioning everything. I don’t know what backless, strapless holster only the Hollywood elite have access to, but standing there, saggy and exposed, and afraid to look anything but angry, a la Khlo, I really wished I could just step inside her excessively organized closet and steal whatever crazy glue she uses to keep her décolletage in place.

I thought maybe adding some of the Boob Tube bust protection pregnancy cream Khlo is obsessed with would make me look more pert, but I wasn’t shelling out 48 bucks to boost my gals.

Khloé, who is famous for her candor, lives by the concept that honesty won’t hurt a person if it comes from a loving place. So, standing there, lopsided, in front of a stained white curtain that separates my kitchen from my bed-livingroom, I asked my husband to tell me if I really looked as gross as I thought I did.

So, standing there, lopsided, in front of a stained white curtain that separates my kitchen from my bed-livingroom, I asked my husband to tell me if I really looked as gross as I thought I did.

After spending a few hours jerry-rigging an old lamp and a tattered paper bag together to make my photo shoot look like it didn’t happen with an iPhone and an old wall, he was too exhausted to lie anyway.

“You’ve seen better days,” he said.

Because nothing can stop the force-field of determination that is Queen Khlo, I respectfully ignored his comments, strapped on some glittery shoes and grabbed a raspberry-infused water to stop myself from exploding.

Tottering towards the fridge in my too-small, too-tall heels, fearing that with one misstep, I would break an ankle I held so dear, I was reminded of something my heroine said in her book, “Face your pain, don’t run from it,” so I did just that, which is good because I couldn’t run in these things anyway.

Not entirely sure why she’s praying here, but I went for it. Instagram

Exhausted from sucking in and trying to reflect the aura of a self-actualized woman who refuses to smile in photos, while feeling decidedly not fierce, I peeled off the weaponized footwear and the bandage dresses and let the athleisure part of the night take hold. Because if there’s anything Khlo likes more than showing off her assets, it’s perfecting permanently-headed-to-the-gym-chic.

Part 5: The Dreaded Selfie

Full disclosure: I have never taken a selfie and I quit Instagram when I realized it wasn’t just a nifty filtering app, but I was in too deep now to ignore this very important part of the process.

I start my morning by applying my coffin-style press on nails (since when are there so many different nail shapes, by the way? What happened to square or round?) but didn’t take into account that once these talons were on, I couldn’t pop in contacts, zip my pants, or, ya know, hold my phone.

Khlo says negativity begets negativity and no one wants to be around that, so after three minutes, instead of letting those monstrosities make me cranky, I just ripped them off. Because I’m a grown up. I make the rules. There, that’s better.

But it only took one snap for me to start feeling bad about myself.

My eyebrows that have been mismatched since I got too tweezer happy in ’92 were certainly not on fleek. And why am I not allowed to smile? I look dumb not smiling. What’s so serious about this scenario? I guess if I had Khlo’s voluptuous lips, I’d pout more too, but c’mon. And why doesn’t my phone have those mystical filters?

Suddenly wrapped up in a hideous feedback loop of narcissism and insecurity, while trying to capture an image that made me look half as good as I do when I’m grinning in a group of friends, I was reminded that Kimmy K once said it takes 1,200 selfies to take a decent one, and she has them professionally edited, no less. This makes me feel simultaneously better, and worse. The time it takes to snap 1,200 wannabe sultry selfies would be better spent doing literally anything else.

Finally, after about 30 minutes of giving myself vertigo trying to get the right head tilt to match Khlo’s impossibly perfect pictures, I got one I like. But only because it stars the toilet paper roll. Oh, the glamorous life!

Earlier today, when a colleague reached for my phone, I snatched it back so quickly it may as well have had an album of peen pics on it. I was so embarrassed that she might see one of the 127 selfies I’d taken to capture the “I’m so sleepy, but I have a sexy secret to share” bedtime sign-off that she almost lost an arm.

In the end, I felt sort of dirty, like I needed to be cleansed with hours of NPR. It turns out, selfies just ain’t my thing. But I’ll never turn down a goofy “us”-ie. As long as you snap it. I can’t be seen with fat arm.

Part 6: Spirituality and Reflection

Although my morning treadmill time is usually reserved for catching up on old episodes of Hart of Dixie, this week, I took an actual page out of Khloé’s book and did some journaling whilst I jogged, something she does every day, and sometimes even while exercising. She’s evidently much more dextrous than I am. After she’s done, she tears up the passages. It’s because she’s worried the paparazzi will find them, but it also ties in nicely to what she says about second chances (she’s a big believer in them).

In Strong Looks Better Naked, Khlo writes, “Every day is a clean page; every day is a another opportunity to write a new story. It’s your story. Write the story you want to live.”

After a decade of watching Keeping Up With the Kardashians (hey, no shame please), I’ve often wondered what it would be like to be obscenely wealthy, to not have to worry about how I’m going to support my mom on a non-reality star salary, and how it would feel to walk into any store and say, ‘I’ll take four—one for each of my impossibly beautiful sisters.’ But let’s face it. Having to look good everyday is difficult. Not to mention my disdain for figure-flattering garments. And while I value Khloé for allowing her life to be on display for my personal entertainment, I couldn’t even handle the attention of putting a wig on at work. Ultimately, her story is not meant for me.

I now know for certain that the facade of Khlo’s life is not what I’m after, but I did learn from her core values—from the way she lives with real integrity. She says she “works every day at silencing the nagging voice that says you’ll fail.” And so did I. This week, I went the extra mile to actually take care of myself, to go to the gym in the morning, and to not beat myself up the days I skipped. Heck, I even stopped drinking. Well, for four days, but it was a start.

“Life isn’t about perfection. It’s about growth,” Khloé (or her ghost writer) says. Sure, it’s a tad cliche, but it’s also a comforting reminder that every day we get to begin again. And for me, tomorrow begins without the waist trainer and with a whole lot of Advil.

My face hurts from all the smizing.

Fans Slam Khloe Kardashian for Her ‘Whole New Face’ in Instagram Pics

Khloe Kardashian can’t seem to catch a break from the critics — she’s come under attack yet again for looking unrecognizable in some photos she posted on Instagram. The plastic surgery rumors persist, even though Kardashian claims that she hasn’t had any work done and it’s more than likely her makeup contouring that makes her “look crazy” in photos.

Kardashian sometimes doesn’t look like herself

While her followers have pointed out in the past that Kardashian often doesn’t look like she used to, it was a Sept. 30 Instagram pic that really had people talking. People had so much to say, in fact, that the reality star turned off the comments.

She captioned the image, showing the blonde beauty with her hair partially up while she pouted for the camera, “Happy Monday.”

Her fans and critics were effectively silenced on that platform, but it didn’t stop them from hitting up Twitter to share their thoughts on Kardashian’s changed look, with people tweeting: “please stop messing with your face! You are so beautiful already. Always have been!! No more fillers” and asking “what has @khloekardashian done to her face?”

Khloe Kardashian: Instagram/In person Facetune or not? Remember, you can’t Facetune your energy.., but you can always Facetune your face ‍♀️ #khloekardashian #facetune

Is Kardashian using an editing app for her pics?

An Instagram account called Celebface has claimed that Kardashian is editing her photos with the editing app FaceTune, creating a drastic change in her appearance from what she actually looks like.

They made their case by providing side-by-side comparisons of the “reality” of what Kardashian looks like versus her Instagram. The post asked: “Khloe Kardashian: Instagram/In person Facetune or not? Remember, you can’t Facetune your energy… but you can always Facetune your face.”

People weighed in with comments like: “She looks like another person in Instagram. So sad” and “It always seems like there’s something just not quite right with her face.. and it’s because she’s edited it and it makes it unnatural.”

Another commenter thought this could be a learning moment, writing: “This is good, maybe young girls can learn something from this. It’s okay to not be perfect, because no one is. Your fine just the way you are.”

Not everyone found it that outrageous, however, as one person noted: “why do u all care if she does or doesn’t facetune?? If this is what she does to make herself feel better about posting a pic, then let her do it. Why attack someone that clearly has esteem issues??”

Kardashian looks like her sisters in new fragrance campaign

While Kardashian may be manipulating her Instagram images, fans couldn’t help but notice that Khloe looks just like her sisters in the campaign for her KKW fragrance collab.

In one post that Khloe shared, the sisters wear strapless tops and plenty of bling while posing with their fragrances. The caption read: “It’s a sister collab!” and announced the scents that “perfectly reflect our personalities.”

Many fans commented on the pic, specifically on Khloe, with one person writing: “Khloe looking like Kylieeeee” and another noting, “I thought Khloe was Kendall.” Another commenter noted: “Lmao I did NOT recognise Khloe. I thought it was: Kourtney, tall Kourtney and Kim,” and another person shared: “Okay with brown hair Khloe looks so much like Kourtney.”

Khloe Kardashian’s post-baby diet is low-carb but she’s ‘always eating’ — here’s what it entails

  • Khloe Kardashian has been focused on her physical health since giving birth her daughter True Thompson in April.
  • The reality star recently shared the “exact low-carb meal plan” she has been following to get back in shape.
  • The diet includes plenty of vegetables, lean meats, and simple starches.
  • “It has lots of protein, so I’m able to go all out at the gym, but the best part is that I’m never hungry because I’m always eating,” she wrote in a post on her app.

Khloe Kardashian has admitted that working out is “just not the same” after giving birth to her first child. But the new mom, whose daughter True is less than two months old, is already determined to get back in shape — and knows that diet and nutrition is also an important factor in that process.

Kardashian recently shared the “exact low-carb meal plan” that she’s been following post-birth, created by her nutritionist, Dr. Philip Goglia.

“It has lots of protein, so I’m able to go all out at the gym, but the best part is that I’m never hungry because I’m always eating,” she wrote in a post on her app.

She also reassured her fans and nutrition enthusiasts alike that, “it’s easier to follow than it sounds.”

She eats a “pre-workout snack” consisting of a tablespoon of jam and a tablespoon of almond butter.

While almond butter is not necessarily better than peanut butter, it does pack some protein and essential vitamins, which makes it an excellent pre-workout booster. In fact, almond butter with fruit is a favored snack of nutritionist Dr. Lauren Harris-Pincus.

“Always strive for a snack with protein and fiber to satisfy hunger, stabilize blood sugar, and keep you full longer,” Harris-Pincus told INSIDER.

Kardashian eats a protein-packed breakfast after working out.

This breakfast includes two eggs any style with one cup of oatmeal and one cup of fresh fruit. She will also eat an additional piece of fruit as a mid-morning snack if she needs to.

This type of morning meal is low in sugar and the protein will keep her full and energetic for longer, which is especially important for a new parent who probably isn’t sleeping much.

If she gets hungry throughout the day, Kardashian favors fruit, nuts, and vegetables like cherry tomatoes to snack on for continued energy sources.

“Don’t let yourself get hungry,” she writes.

Her postpartum body still needs a “full portion of starch” around midday.

“For lunch, Dr. Goglia recommends a four-ounce piece of grilled chicken breast with a half portion of a simple starch, like four ounces of yam or a half cup of white rice, along with a veggie and a salad. Because I recently gave birth, I’m still eating a full portion of starch right now,” she writes.

Other simple starches include potatoes, sweet potatoes, oatmeal, oat flakes, quinoa, and lentils — all of which provide energy and many of which have anti-inflammatory benefits, according to Kardashian’s nutritionist.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star also keeps her salad dressing simple with an oil-based vinaigrette.

“Any vegetables are great, but especially recommends those high in iron, like spinach, beets, asparagus, broccoli or romaine. You can also swap out the chicken for another lean meat, but make sure it’s grilled, steamed, baked or broiled,” Kardashian writes.

Kardashian eats fish for dinner.

She writes that Goglia recommends an eight-ounce piece of fish for “performance purposes and more rapid weight loss,” paired with another protein and four ounces of yams.

The nutritionist specifically suggests salmon, black cod, arctic char, and sea bass.

“You increase your intake of omega fatty acids, which helps with deeper sleep, increased growth-hormone release and a reduction of inflammation,” Kardashian wrote in a separate post.

For dessert, Kardashian revealed that she uses fruit to “fulfill that craving for sweets.”
