Khloe Kardashian Reveals Her New Mom Beauty Secrets in Makeup Routine Video

We’ve all been paying attention as the Kardashian-Jenner family has made their mark on the beauty world, and Khloe Kardashian is no exception. In Vogue‘s most recent celebrity “Beauty Secrets” video, the new mom shows us her skincare and makeup routine while talking about how her approach to beauty has changed since motherhood. Baby True makes adorable appearances throughout the video as well.

She starts off her routine with toner on her oily zones and of course, SPF all over her face, neck, chest and hands. Next, she mixes Drunk Elephant‘s Lala Retro Whipped Moisturizer ($60 USD) with a Tom Ford Traceless Foundation Stick ($90 USD) to create her own custom BB cream. For concealer, she uses KKW Beauty‘s Concealer Kit. To set her makeup, Khloe mixes two Kylie Cosmetics Loose Setting Powder shades — “Soft Pink” and “Transluscent.” After, she gives us a guide to “nose contour for dummies” with MAC Cosmetics‘ Studio Fix Sculpt and Shape Contour Palette, followed by an eyeshadow look with her KOKO x Kylie Cosmetics eyeshadow palette, in which all the shade names are inspired by True.

For mascara, she uses a Surratt Beauty Relevée Lash Curler ($34 USD) paired with the Lancôme HYPNÔSE DOLL LASHES Mascara ($27.50 USD). After doing her brows, she uses Tom Ford’s Bronzing Powder in “Gold Dust” ($95 USD) and Kylie Cosmetics’ blush. To finish the look, she uses an eyebrow pencil to add her moles back, her KOKO collab and clear gloss for lips and highlighter on her cheek bones and décolletage.

Khloe Kardashian looks amazing at the moment, just five months after giving birth to her first daughter, True.

The new Mum looks to be taking motherhood in her stride and has been posting pics and posts about how she’s getting her life and body back on Instagram.

In the latest news Khloe’s MUA has revealed the foundation she uses on the reality star that gives her the most flawless skin, it’s a good one too.

Baby Girl so Fine!!! Guess which foundation and powder I used on her skin and do you love it? #khloekardashian #styledbyhrush

MUA Hrush Achemyan has been doing Khloe’s makeup quite a bit, including for the recent party at Kylie’s house for her party to celebrate her latest makeup collaboration with best pal Jordyn Woods.

Achemyan has been teasing on social media about the foundation and powder she uses on Khloe’s skin, which to be fair looks incredible for a new Mom.

And it’s not a very high-end brand but it is new with a very novel kind of packaging, but for the best way to apply the makeup it makes total sense. The foundation is by Beauty Bender, it’s Bounce.

Zoom for the detail! Used #bounce by @beautyblender I really like how easy it is to apply, long lasting, & photographs so beautifully. #styledbyhrush #khloekardashian Any other questions about this glam?!

Bounce Liquid Foundation is a whipped, weightless makeup with full cover that comes in 32 shades currently.

See the bottle below, notice how there is a dimple in the front, this is for application and it’s very clever. Rather than pumping the makeup on to the back of the hand, you pump it directly into the dimple.

And yes you’ve guessed it, the dimple is the exact right size to use with your Beauty Blender, simply ‘dip and roll’ as you would with any foundation and start to apply.

Achemyan doesn’t reveal which shade she uses on Khloe but she does say ‘it’s easy to apply, long lasting and photographs beautifully’.

That’s good enough for us, if you want to get the Bounce Liquid Foundation you can do so here.

How the ‘Kardashian effect’ is killing mascara sales

Is it time to bat an eyelash over an endangered beauty staple?

False lashes are hurting mascara sales, numbers show, with women increasingly turning to the more permanent option over the classic eyelash enhancer. The change, experts say, is driven by a combination of falsies being increasingly affordable, accessible and visible on the eyes of the Kardashian clan.

“Kim is one of the biggest beauty influencers in the world,” the queen Kardashian’s go-to makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic tells CNN, “She’s one of the most looked-at people and women do take their makeup inspiration from her.”

Dedivanovic — who boasts 7.4 million Instagram followers — confirms that he regularly uses falsies on Kim, although he remains a fan of mascara.

“Mascara will never die but lash extensions are just an easier lifestyle choice for women right now,” he tells the outlet, adding that you’re not supposed to use mascara if you get lash extensions.

Recent celebrity cosmetic lines, including Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics, Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty and Lady Gaga’s Haus Laboratories all launched without a mascara product, while false lash sales (and associated products like kits, glue and applicator) enjoyed an 82 percent increase since 2016, with $313 million in annual sales, according to Nielsen. Mascara sales, on the other hand, have plummeted 7 percent.

Professionally applied lash extensions — despite some reported health risks — are also seeing an increase in popularity alongside their drugstore-bought counterparts.

“The cost is upward of $100 and the upkeep is an investment, too,” celebrity makeup artist Randall Mahnke-Tang tells CNN of the pricey but long-lasting mascara alternative, “They can last four to six weeks. You can swim with them, do hot yoga, go to the beach and not worry — unlike with mascara — about anything running down your face. Their convenience can’t be beat.”

If I were stranded on an island and only had one makeup item, it’d be mascara. Lash definition is integral to my existence so I’m constantly gawking over celebrities full, bouncy lashes. Before I writhe with envy, though, I have to remind myself they’re usually wearing falsies. However, this past week makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic disclosed he skips fake lashes when working on Kim Kardashian and I’ve never wanted to know what mascara a celebrity uses so bad.

Lucky for me (and everyone, honestly), Kardashian answered my prayers in a recent post on her website and app. The 37-year-old beauty and entertainment mogul revealed she’s been a longtime fan of L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black. She wrote, “The color is the perfect shade of black and it really lifts and separates each lash. It’s perfect for an everyday look or you can layer on multiple coats for a more dramatic eye.”

That’s right, Kim K. actually swears by a $6 drugstore mascara. Plus, if you’ve been lusting for her new eyeshadow collab with Dedivanovic (dropping in only two days!), buying this mascara to achieve full-on Kim K. vibes will barely set you back.

It’s time to make a drugstore run.

This Is the $6 Mascara That Kim Kardashian Has Been Using for Years

Mascara is one of those beauty products that even the most low maintenance women reach for from time to time because as cliche as it may sound, a few swipes of the inky black formula have the power to change how you look and feel. While there are mascara offerings at every price point that range from silicone wands to micro sizes and so on, sometimes all you need is a $6 version to perk up your face—and Kim Kardashian agrees.

Kardashian recently took to her app to share that she has been using L’Oreal Paris Voluminous Mascara in Carbon Black ($6; amazon.com, target.com, or lorealparisusa.com) “for years.” She also references her long-time makeup artist and friend Mario Dedivanovic, saying, “it’s one of his fav too—we use it all the time.” What she likes about this drugstore formula: “It’s the perfect shade of black and it really lifts and separates each lash.” She even elaborates about how you can use it, too. “It’s perfect for an everyday look or you can layer on multiple coats for a more dramatic eye,” she says.

Of course, when I heard that KKW uses this mascara, I had to give it a go, too. Upon removing the wand from the matte black tube, the brush seemed familiar. It has a classic tapered shape with wider bristles on one end that come to a point, designed that way so that you can easily add length on the outer corners, but can also use the tip to get into the inner corner and coat those hairs as well.

I wiggled the brush back and forth from root to tip and noticed that while my lashes were separating in a way that I liked, there was also added volume—a combination that I almost never come across, which leads me to use multiple mascaras. While the formula was a little drier than what I typically use, it didn’t bother me and I didn’t find it to flake or get messy—a win in my book.

After a few swipes on the top and bottom lashes, I was thoroughly impressed. This bargain buy lengthened, darkened, and volumized my lashes exactly the way a pricier mascara would. Like Kim, I think this will become a staple in my makeup bag, too.

Khloe Kardashian may be blessed with naturally flawless skin but she can also thank her mother, Kris Jenner, who gave the reality star her first skin care kit at the age of 12.

The Kardashian clan headed out in force on Tuesday evening to celebrate Khloe’s younger sister, Kylie Jenner, releasing her brand new range of Kylie Skin products.

But it seems Khloe, 34, was always ahead of the curve when it came to looking after her skin as the TV star’s routine apparently began when she was a pre-teen.

Basically, while the rest of us were playing with Barbies and watching too many episodes of Saved By The Bell, Khloe was lathering up with moisturiser to minimise those pores.

Smart.

In an Instagram video to promote Kylie Skin, Khloe explained: ‘My mum has always instilled great hygiene in all of us.

‘I got my first skincare set, a face wash, a toner and a moisturiser probably when I was 12 or 13 and it was such a big deal for me that I had a skincare routine.’

She added: ‘Self-care is not selfish and self-care starts with your skin. Your skin definitely is your armour and this is the one skin that we’re in so we must handle it with care.’

It’s not the first time one of Kris’ daughters has made a surprising revelation about their childhood.

Khloe’s sister Kim Kardashian has previously revealed that Kris, 62, put her on birth control at the tender age of 14.

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2012, Kim explained that she was ready to have sex for the first time at that age so Kris leapt to action and put her on the contraceptive pill.

Again, while we were playing with dolls…

Kylie’s new venture is just the latest part of her beauty empire after conquering the cosmetics industry with Kylie Cosmetics. The brand’s success has reportedly made Kylie the world’s youngest self-made billionaire so no doubt there are big hopes on her skin products taking off.

Announcing the new venture in a video tutorial, Kylie said: ‘I’m going to show you guys my everyday skincare routine and talk about my products a little bit more. I start with my face wash, probably my favourite product in the line, it just makes my face feel so clean and retains the natural moisture in your face.

‘I went through a lot of samples to get the perfect foaminess and creaminess, and the scent is amazing and refreshing, this almost brings your face back to life, it’s a very unique face wash.

‘I have been creating this for a year, I have been using it for around ten months. This is my skincare routine, I’m really excited for you guys to try it.’

This Is Kourtney Kardashian’s Favorite Foundation for Her Sensitive, Acne-Prone Skin

When one of the Kardashian-Jenner girls takes to their app or website to recommend a beauty product, a frenzy usually ensues (proof: all the times Kylie has to restock her famous Lip Kits). Most recently, the eldest Kardashian sister shared a post titled “The Exact Makeup I Use on My Face,” and touted a foundation that she claims doesn’t irritate or cause breakouts on her sensitive and acne-prone skin.

The foundation of her choice: Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation Acne Control ($76; dermstore.com and amazon.com), which comes in 14 different shades. “I have it in a few shades, so it matches my skin if I’m tan,” Kardashian explains, adding that she’s currently using the Almond color. She’s so serious about this formula, in fact, that she requests the professionals use it on her, too. “I make sure anyone doing my makeup uses this foundation,” she says.

To buy: $76; dermstore.com and amazon.com

Kardashian calls this the “best breathable foundation” thanks to its lightweight texture. And anyone who struggles with breakouts knows that while you often do want to cover them up, the last thing you want is to clog your pores even more.

Another reason this foundation is so great for acne-prone skin? The formula packs salicylic acid, a powerhouse ingredient for unclogging pores that not only treats existing breakouts, but helps to prevent new ones from cropping up.

Minimal makeup may not seem like a Kardashian mantra, but for Kourtney, not going full-throttle on the foundation is one of the only things that helps keep her breakouts under control. The eldest Kardashian sister took to her website to tell fans how she has realized that, for acne sufferers, the foundation you rely on to help cover your blemishes may be clogging your pores and encouraging more breakouts. But she has found one in particular that not only doesn’t exacerbate her acne, it also helps clear it up.

“I have really sensitive skin and am prone to breaking out, so I try to keep makeup minimal on my face,” Kardashian wrote, going on to reveal what she says is the only foundation she’ll wear from now on. “I recently discovered the best, breathable foundation from Oxygenetix.” She’s referring to the brand’s Oxygenating Acne Control Foundation, which promises the elusive combination of both breathability and full coverage. It contains two-percent salicylic acid for blemish treatment, and it’s made with an aloe-gel base instead of added water, which the brand says can attract acne-inducing bacteria.

The transfer- and water-resistant formula comes in 14 shades, and Kardashian always has several on hand. “I have it in a few shades, so it matches my skin if I’m tan,” she writes, saying she’s currently using the Almond shade. She loves what it’s done for her skin so much that even if she’s doing a shoot, she brings it for the makeup artist. “I make sure anyone doing my makeup uses this foundation.”

So wait — does that mean she’s forsaking her sisters’ own brands’ complexion makeup? Not exactly. “Of course, I’m obsessed with Kim’s contouring kit in the medium color,” she says, referring to Kim Kardashian’s KKW Crème Contour Sticks. But at least for now, she sounds committed to Oxygenetix for her foundation.

Oxygenetix Oxygenating Acne Control Foundation is available at dermstore.com for $76.

Now watch 100 years of skin care:

Here’s the thing about acne-prone skin. We put on makeup to cover it, but by putting on so much makeup, we’re just making our acne worse, which means we need to put on more makeup – and the endless cycle repeats. Not all of us want to go makeup-free and that’s okay. We just need to find a foundation that actually lets our skin breathe. Or how about one with acne-fighting ingredients? Actually . . . how about both in one?

The Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation Acne Control is making waves since the ageless Kourtney Kardashian revealed it as part of her “natural-ish” makeup routine to Vogue. It’s a cream foundation specifically meant for troubled skin prone to stubborn acne. It comes in 14 shades and one shopper said since they started using it, they “never break out anymore!”

Kardashian, who recently launched her own lifestyle website, Poosh, is huge into beauty and wellness and exploring how the two mix. As this foundation helps to clear our skin, we can clear our mind of any related insecurities and worries. Self-care on point!

“I swear that this is one of the things that really helped get my skin together,” Kardashian said. “I think I told Kendall about this too, I think she uses it!”

This foundation claims to be both lightweight and breathable so our pores can remain unclogged even when covered up. It’s designed to minimize our areas of concern, including fine lines, wrinkles, discoloration, redness, blackheads and whiteheads. And just acne in general, of course. That’s why it features one of the most popular acne-fighting ingredients in all of skincare: salicylic acid!

Salicylic acid is the active ingredient in this cream, and it claims to “decongest” our pores, helping to not only heal breakouts but prevent future ones, too! It works alongside grape seed extract, which is full of antioxidants and may defend our skin from free radicals.

Dermstore

Also inside this magic little bottle is aloe vera gel, which we all know and love for its soothing properties. Aloe vera gel may ease our redness, irritation and inflammation so our complexion is even and our face is cool, calm and collected!

When Kardashian demonstrated how she uses this oxygenating foundation, she actually mixed two shades together to find the perfect balance for her skin tone. She then applied it to her face with her hands. It’s recommended that we either follow Kardashian’s technique or, if we prefer, we can try using a clean, wet sponge!

This foundation’s coverage is buildable, so we can adjust the amount we use according to our skin’s needs at the time of application. Plus, if we use this product consistently for a while, we may want to aim for less and less coverage as we go, since our skin may end up looking totally clear even with no makeup on!

Here’s a tip to make sure we’re picking the right shade. We can click on the shade we might want to try on Dermstore, and then scroll down to the product details. In bold, we’ll see a note about what sort of skin tones and undertones that shade works well with! Whether we have warm yellow undertones or cool pink undertones, there’s an amazing chance we’ll find the perfect shade without even having to test it first! Gorgeous skin, here we come!
