This Is How Kim Kardashian Stays in Shape

Kim Kardashian’s figure is famous all over the world. Millions of people want a body that looks like hers, so how does she do it? We have a few ideas. Here’s what we know about Kardashian’s nutrition and workout routine. Plus, how her celebrity trainer keeps up.

Did Kim Kardashian remove a rib to appear thinner?

Kardashian looked fantastic in a crystal-dripped dress at this year’s Met Gala. The look fit her so tightly around the waist that it even prompted rumors that she’d had a rib removed to fit into the dress. However, she didn’t take her quest her thinness that far. Instead, she wore a corset that was tied so tight that she wasn’t even able to sit down.

“I have never felt pain like that in my life,” Kardashian told the Wall Street Journal about her experience wearing the corset. “I’ll have to show you pictures of the aftermath when I took it off — the indentations on my back and my stomach.”

When asked about the rumors that she’d had a rib removed, Kardashian denied that she had. “I don’t even know if that’s possible,” she said.

She hasn’t had ribs removed, but Kardashian does take her figure seriously. Recently, she switched to an all plant-based diet to improve her health and weight. The sexy star sometimes shares her vegan meals with her followers on Instagram. From those pictures, we can tell she’s eaten zucchini noodles with mushroom marinara sauce, smoothies, and vegan sausages, among other tasty plant meals.

Before the Met Gala, Kardashian was especially diligent with her fitness. She even fit in a last-minute workout before the event, which she shared on Instagram. Her trainer had her lifting weights and using the stairmaster.

Her usual workouts with her trainer last about an hour and a half, and she hits the gym six days a week. According to an Instagram post by Kardashian, she takes a break from lifting for about two weeks, every six months, to avoid wearing herself out. The post also featured a photo of her and her trainer in the gym.

We’re back in the gym heavy! I would say every 6 months I take two weeks off from lifting. Sometimes you just need a break to recharge and chill but then I miss it so much and feel so good to be back at it ‍♀️

In addition to diet, Kardashian also works out with a trainer to maintain her shape. CNBC did a recent piece on Kardashian’s trainer, Melissa Alcantara, who explained how she went from unfit waitress to a fitness professional. Alcantara detailed her daily routine, and while this may not be exactly what Kardashian does herself, we might be able to get an idea of the advice she gives Kardashian.

Alcantara starts her day at 4 am with coffee, but she doesn’t eat until sometime in the mid-day. She likes to practice intermittent fasting, which means she’ll occasionally go up to eight hours without eating. In the morning, she spends two hours working with Kardashian, before she heads to the gym to start her own workout. Alcantara spends about an hour lifting weights, but she skips the cardio machines. Instead, she says she walks around 10,000 steps throughout her day, and she considers that her cardio.

Kardashian’s trainer also makes sure to drink plenty of water- about a gallon a day. “It sounds like a lot,” she said, “and you’ll likely spend more time in the bathroom than anywhere else, but you eventually get used to it,”

The rest of her day is usually spent on her various projects. Alcantara has a website,, where she offers nutrition and fitness advice. She’s also writing a book about her fitness journey. The evening is spent with her family, including her 8-year-old daughter. But she always makes time for grocery shopping, so that the fridge is always stocked with healthy foods.

You’d have to take good care of your body to hang out with Kardashian six days a week and not feel inferior. But looking at this routine, Alcantara fits right in and keeps Kardashian motivated.

Kim Kardashian’s Confidence-Boosting Strategies

Kim Kardashian talks exclusively with Shape about the challenges she faces to keep her weight in check and her self-confidence up. When we met her in Miami, the 29-year-old radiated a fresh, natural beauty not often seen on her hit TV series, Keeping Up With the Kardashians, or on the covers of tabloids. Her strategies for being this way are so doable, we think everyone should try them!

“There’s nothing better than getting up and going right to the gym.”

Want to know how Kim Kardashian stays fit? No matter how busy she is, Kim knows the only way to manage her weight and stay toned is to get moving every day. “I have cellulite, just like almost every other woman on the planet. And just because I feel secure with my body doesn’t mean I think cellulite is cute! It will always be an issue for me. So let’s just say it’s a work in progress!”

To stay slim and curvy and keep her cellulite under control, Kim does a combo of cardio and sculpting. A few days a week, she works out with Los Angeles trainer Gunnar Peterson. Want to get Kim Kardashian’s body? Try Gunnar’s workout challenge.

“I finally said enough with the junk food!”

About a year ago, some tabloids published bikini photographs of Kim that were far from flattering. “Yeah, it bothered me initially, but I told myself that everyone, especially women with curves, has issues just like mine,” she says. “But it did motivate me to finally drop those last 10 pounds.” Besides stepping up her exercise routine, she made some major changes to her diet, like having a hearty breakfast. She’s also eliminated old favorites, like cheese-smothered enchiladas and cheeseburgers with onion rings. “I wouldn’t dare eat like that now,” she says. “These days I prefer salads with grilled chicken or turkey burgers without the bun.”

Keep Reading: How Kim learned to embrace her curves.

“I have curves and that’s never going to change, so I’d better start embracing them.”

As proud as she is of her curves these days, there was a time when Kim was insecure about her body. “I was only 10 when I started developing breasts,” she recalls. “I remember crying in the bathtub. I took a washcloth, made it really hot, put it over my chest, and prayed, ‘Please don’t let them grow any bigger! They’re embarrassing me!'”

With the help of her mom, Kris Jenner (whom Kim calls her role model), and her stepdad, Olympic gold medalist Bruce Jenner, she learned to become more comfortable with her figure. Still, she had to deal with the fact that she didn’t look like everyone else in her high school. “All my friends were super skinny, and that just wasn’t my body type. But I watched my mom, who was always comfortable with herself, and she helped me with my outlook.”

These days, Kim wants to maintain her sleek, curvy figure. Wish you could get Kim Kardashian’s body? Check out Kim Kardashian’s workout and find out how she tones up her trouble zones.

How to get as fit as Kim Kardashian, according to her personal trainer

Kim Kardashian credits her personal trainer Melissa Alcantara for transforming her body over the past year. INSIDER spoke to Alcantara on how to lose weight and gain muscle through workouts and nutrition to get a body like Kim Kardashian. Following is a transcript of the video.

Melissa Alcantara: What we’ve been working on for the past almost year is just kind of the training method that I do. And it’s the same training method that I use for Kim. It’s mostly about eating. I mean, people think it’s in the exercise, but if you’re not eating right consistently, then it’s just never going to happen. You know, her diet has come a long way and has changed a lot in terms of just eliminating processed foods and just getting her to eat real food. So if it comes in a box, if it didn’t grow off a tree or the earth didn’t give it to you, then just stay away from it. Fresh foods, unprocessed foods, and only water.

As for the workouts, I would do something that’s mixed, so that there’s weight training, there’s high-intensity interval training and there’s steady state cardio. For now, you know I train Kim consistently. Sometimes I train her sisters Khloe and Kourtney.

Kim Kardashian: She’s even Snapchatting on my workout with Melissa. I give her the privilege of working out with her one time.

Alcantara: I honestly, I just love her. She’s also like one of the best clients that you could ever have. She doesn’t cancel. She’s always there.

Kardashian: This is what I’m doing today.

Alcantara: A lot of our sessions are at 6 a.m. I wake up at 4. So we train about five, six days a week. It ranges from an hour to an hour and a half. We do a lot of squats, deadlifts, chest press, overhead press, a ton, a ton of sprints. We do pull-ups, dips, but I would say that 85% of our training is weight training. You have to put the work in. You have to be intense, you have to struggle with every rep and feel it. It doesn’t mean that you’re gonna be Arnold and get huge.

Kardashian: You guys, she’s trying to kill me.

Alcantara: Only a little bit.

Kardashian: Officially trying to kill me.

Alcantara: In the beginning, you know, I was sitting on my couch. I had gained 70 pounds with my daughter and I saw this infomercial for Insanity, which is a home workout program. And I saw these people’s transformations. And I packed up all my food, I never cheated, only drank water, never missed a workout and 60 days later, I was 40 pounds lighter. I decided I wanted to do a bodybuilding competition in December of 2015. I won first place in Miss Figure and Miss Physique and that’s when Kim contacted me. So she saw my transformation picture on Instagram. She was like scrolling through Instagram at 4 o’clock in the morning and she was like, “Wow, this woman, she’s a Mom. She lives a regular life. Look at how she changed her life.” She was looking for something that was sustainable. She didn’t want to just lose weight fast and then you know, gain it again. It’s a lifestyle.

I had no expectations of becoming a celebrity trainer. I’m not thinking, “Oh yeah, I’m going to train Oprah tomorrow.” I just hope that they get the results they’re looking for. And every time she sees a new muscle growing or new lines, new definition —

Kardashian: Do you guys see my muscles?

Alcantara: The look on her face just makes me like super excited for her, because I know exactly what that feels like.

Kardashian: Hamstrings, my favorite.

Alcantara: Yeah, except that you’re doing it with that bar.

Kardashian: Oh, she has the light bar. This is what I’m doing.

Alcantara: Exactly.

This Is What It Takes to Get Kim Kardashian’s Body

Whether you follow the Kardashians or not, you’re well aware the whole family is among Hollywood’s elite. And while Kim has gone through multiple pregnancies over the years, she continuously manages to bounce back in the limelight looking fabulous. Back in 2016, Business Insider reports Kim lost a staggering 60 pounds thanks to her strict routine.

So, what’s the Kardashian secret to looking like a superstar — and how much money does it take to make it happen? Here’s what we know.

Kim works out with celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson – $15,000 for six weeks

She’s consistent with her workouts and training sessions. | Giphy

This Kardashian is well-known for her famous behind. Her personal trainer, Gunnar Peterson, is all about showing off Kim’s best assets instead of whittling her body down to nothing. With an emphasis on movements like squats, kettlebell swings, and deadlifts, Peterson works to emphasize Kim’s signature butt and tiny waist.

Personal celebrity trainers come at a steep price, however — estimates six weeks of time with Peterson costs around $15,000. And we estimate you’ll start seeing strength gains after four to eight weeks of intense training.

She goes for low-carb foods – $40 per week

Her diet consists of lean meats and lots of vegetables. | Jatrax/iStock/Getty Images

You are what you eat, and Kim’s amazing figure and impressive weight loss is due in large part to her diet. Self explains she follows the Atkins 40 diet, which means she restricts her carbs to just 40 grams per day. She supplements the rest of her diet with tons of fresh veggies and protein.

You’ll pay a lot more at the grocery store for this kind of diet. Today estimates you’ll pay around $40 more a week than if you were to stick to the average American diet. And if weight loss is your goal, remember — restricting only enough to lose a pound a week is best, so this certainly isn’t a quick fix. Calculate your daily caloric needs and slash that by 500 calories a day to lose a pound a week.

She has a chef cook her breakfast – $70,000 per year

Having a chef cook meals for you sounds like the perfect way to stay on track with your nutrition. And Kim K tells Harper’s Bazaar her famous husband Kanye always has a chef come in the morning to cook a healthy breakfast for them both.

We’re not completely sure how much Kim and Kanye spend on their personal cooks, but Food & Wine gives us an estimate of $70,000 for a chef who’s living in the home and available five days a week.

Kim and Kanye visit a nutritionist – $20,000 per year

With Kim being a fan of the Atkins diet, it makes sense that her nutritionist is Colette Heimowitz, vice president of education and nutrition at Atkins. Elite Daily says Heimowitz helps Kim with her nutrition plan, which includes limiting foods that impact her blood sugar.

We’re not exactly sure how much consultations with Heimowitz cost, but we’re willing to bet the Kardashian-West clan shell out big bucks. Smarty Cents says some celebs pay up to $20,000 a year for their nutrition advice.

She also has had butt injections – $300

Kim Kardashian has had her share of health issues and treatment. | Loic Venance/AFP/Getty Images

The rumors are true — Kim’s had butt injections. Us Magazine explains she has psoriasis, a skin condition that causes the skin to become thick, patchy, and scaly. Kim gets cortisone shots every few years to help control her symptoms.

While a butt augmentation can cost thousands, a simple cortisone shot costs as little as $25 to as much as $300 depending on the location. If you do go the implant route, expect to wear a support garment for at least two to three weeks after surgery.

She uses a waist trainer for those hourglass curves – $59

I’d go blonde for that D…

A post shared by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on Oct 3, 2017 at 2:27pm PDT

On the more affordable side of Kim’s routine, she’s a big fan of this waist trainer by Angel Curves. For only $59, you can sport one of these while you’re lounging around your house or working out for a toned tummy.

Here’s the issue, though — Angel Curves claims this waist trainer helps you burn more calories and trim your waistline, but you can’t target fat loss. And HuffPost explains there’s really no way for these devices to actually tone your midsection. If you’re hoping this is a quick fix to a flabby middle, you’ll be waiting a long time.

There are rumors she’s had a nose job and eyebrow lift – $15,000

Kim Kardashian’s famous features are often analyzed by fans and the media. | Timothy A. CLary/AFP/Getty Images

Though Kim K denies having any facial work done, there’s plenty of speculation out there concerning her perfect eyebrows and tiny nose. And if Kim has had work done, we’re betting she paid top dollar. Bankrate estimates rhinoplasty can cost upwards of $10,000 with anesthesia included, and doctors tell RealSelf they charge around $5,000 for an eyebrow lift.

If you go the plastic surgery route, know it takes several weeks of recovery to start seeing improvement in swelling. And if you don’t feel like shelling out $15,000, just try contouring with makeup instead.

Kim Kardashian’s New Body – Plastic Surgery, A Waist Trainer Or A Strict Diet?

Kim Kardashian West has impressed us once again with achieving a flawless post-baby #2 body… so should we thank her plastic surgeon, a waist trainer or a strict diet and exercise regime? Find out…

Kim Kardashian has been a beauty icon for many women since the Kardashian family first set foot on the Hollywood red carpets. Her infamous style, beautiful hair, makeup and unreal curves make her quite the sight. Kim has had 2 kids in the last few years and despite this she’s managed to shed the body fat an rock a bikini after each pregnancy! So what gives? Can she thank her plastic surgeon? Is she on a strict diet and fitness routine? Or is she using a high quality waist trainer?

Kim hasn’t admitted to any plastic surgery however, one look at her figure is evidence enough to assume she has had work done. They size of her behind in proportion to her legs is just not humanely possible! All of the Kardashians are not afraid of going under the knife or using botox and fillers on their faces. Going through a surgery takes many months of recovery and after having a child the body isn’t in any state to undergo these procedures. So then how did she get her body back so quickly? Perhaps she didn’t have any plastic surgery.

Kim Kardashian started the waist training trend when she posted this photo on Instagram with some intriguing hashtags #hourglass #waisttraining #nophotoshopnecessary. These captions drew attention from her large social media audience and soon everyone wanted to know what a waist trainer was! Since then, Kim K and all the Kardashian sisters have rocked waist trainers on social media.

So how do waist trainers work and do they have the power to help get a new mama’s body back in shape? Waist training has been used for decades by women. It was initially used as a fashion piece in women’s clothing (god only knows how they could breathe wearing all those layers…). Then it emerged in the form of cloth to wrap mother’s post-partum bellies for the first 3 months after delivery. This is what Jessica Alba does to get her body back into shape saying,

“I wore a double corset day and night for three months,” she told the magazine. “It was brutal; it’s not for everyone.” However, she went on to say it was “sweaty but worth it.”

A high quality waist trainer will effectively push in belly fat and shape the body into an hourglass shape. It is comfortable to be used at the gym during workout sessions to act as sweat vest by heating up the core to produce excessive amounts of sweat. By sweating more people are able to lose weight quicker. Kim Kardashian West has told reports that her new body goals are inspired by her sister, Khloe Kardashian. Khloe has lost over 40lbs and has achieved an amazing and fit body! Kim said,

“She does these workouts with these sauna suits underneath,” Kardashian says of her sibling. “And she’s just. . . I’ve never seen someone so focused.”

Perhaps Kim’s new smokin’ body is a result from hard work at the gym and strict diet. The new mom of 2 says she’s been on a 1800 calorie a day diet only consuming fats, meats and carbs. She says she cut out all sugar. Kim failed to attribute her new body to a new fitness regime so perhaps a good diet and high quality waist trainer is all it took to get her sexy back!

Our recommend high quality waist trainer of choice is the Luxx Curves waist trainer by Luxx Curves. This waist trainer is composed of 9 flexi-steel bones making it comfortable and effective. It is 3 layers of fabric unlike most other brands only composed of two layers. This makes the waist trainer extremely comfortable, sleek and breathable! To celebrate the release of Kim Kardashian’s glorious selfie book, Selfish, I decided to Kardashify myself and live like the reality star for an entire week, trying everything from her diet to her elaborate makeup routine. In a four-part series, exploring her fashion, beauty, body, and life, I’m sharing what it’s like to be my best self—a.k.a. try to keep up with Kim Kardashian. Part three: body and diet.

“I want to lose 15 pounds like Kim Kardashian,” I casually, if somewhat shame-facedly, told celebrity nutritionist Dr. Charles Passler just over a month ago.

Before her pregnancy, Kim was pretty open about the fact that she was on a journey to shed some serious LBs, posting Instagram throwbacks and talking about it in interviews. “I’m about 15 pounds heavier…that’s what the nutritionist said—I just started seeing a nutritionist because I don’t understand why I—well I do , because I eat really bad,” Kim told Entertainment Tonight back in January. “I just started to eat really healthy and work out more and just try to change my lifestyle, especially when you have a baby. I want to know what to cook and how to cook healthier. We’ve just changed our lifestyles.”

Since it’s award season I will do my #TBT to the time Kourtney and I went to the Emmys. She was pregnant and I was about 15 to 20 pounds thinner.

A post shared by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on Jan 15, 2015 at 8:56am PST

So I expressed a similar sentiment when I sat in Passler’s Manhattan office on a Friday afternoon. “Okay, let’s get one thing straight, I can’t give you Kim Kardashian’s body—we’d need to get someone in here to give you a butt transplant,” he said. No, no, I explained. I know my body (ish) and sure, I might have curves, but even I know I don’t have Kim’s curves, and that’s fine—I just want to be put on a plan like what Kim would be doing—something customized to my own bod. Passler, who, by the way is responsible for a handful of Victoria’s Secret’s most famous bodies, told me to hop on his table, and promptly hooked me up to a lot of different electrodes.

“You were never an athlete were you?” he asked, looking at the results of my body scan.

“Well, in high school,” I answered.

“What, on the chess team?” he cracked. (Pardon moi, I played three sports.) “You have an alarmingly small amount of muscle.”

And then he delivered the big news—I’m 30 percent body fat. Thirty. Oh…and, don’t worry, he did the test twice, just to make sure. What we (and the CDC) would consider a “normal” BMI is around 22-25, he explained, and most models want to be in the 18-22 range. Me, with all of my non-muscle, would neither be considered model nor normal.

With my height, weight, and body fat percentage at his fingertips, my new best friend told me I could stand to lose 12 pounds. “We’re not going to go crazy, but we’re going to make you feel good.”

And, like Kim, it was all about changing my lifestyle. I pretty much eat whatever I want with not so much self-control: In the office, the snacks are usually parked next to my desk. I also love me some wine. Winewinewine. This, Dr. Passler explained, was where I had some decisions to make: If I wanted to change how I look, I’d have to change how I live, placing more value on taking care of myself and cutting back on things that were weighing me down (HAHHAHHA LITERALLY); like stress, which he said was my biggest problem. Also, probs that wine thing, and the fact that when 3pm hits and I get the craving for a piece of chocolate (jk who can eat just one piece of chocolate…) or a latté kicks in, I go for it.

The meeting was like a therapy session—in addition to asking about my (obviously) failed athletic career, we talked exes, work ethic, sleep (or lack of) habits—and when I went back again for a second session to kick off Mission Make Sally a Healthier Human, Passler hammered home the fact that this was all a choice. If he told me not to eat carbs, it’s not that I can’t eat carbs, it’s that I’d be choosing not to. The positive spin makes all the difference, he explained.

I was initially put on a detox of sorts—a nice little regimen of protein shakes, protein bars, veggies, and more of the protein potions for a week, until I was pronounced ready to add real live (well, formerly live, sorry) proteins to my diet—chicken, fish, shrimp, the world was my oyster (except probably not oysters, those things are FULL of salt…but I’ll confirm with Passler next time). I still was consuming the protein shakes in the morning and in the afternoon, but lunch and dinner were your normal meat and veggies kind of deal. Just like Kim.

Kim Kardashian’s diet is always changing—”Kanye loves to eat really healthy and is always on different diets…We just started seeing a nutritionist who changes our diet every 10 days,” she told Harper’s Bazaar earlier this year—but she said her normal breakfast consists of “scrambled eggs or oatmeal, or a protein shake with fruit;” her chef-made lunch (“because it’ll be healthier”) is “fish and vegetables, or chicken and vegetables, something like that,” and then for dinner, “I have vegetables and fish or chicken, just like lunch,” she said.

And really, once you’re used to it, it’s easy. But before you’re used to it, it’s a Thing. On day one of my “cleansing” period, I met two friends for dinner where I realized I could eat nothing. I’d totally forgotten about all the restrictions I was choosing (pOsiTiviTy) to place on my normally unrestricted diet, so instead of going for the ribs and beer like the boys, I sat there, calmly telling them about my 30 percent life-update, and then went home to feast on my decidedly less exciting veggies. Since so much of socializing is based around “let’s grab a drink” or “dinner?” it’s hard to see friends during the week when you’re on a strange diet journey to transform your lifestyle. When I went to a fancy dinner with two other friends two nights later, I asked for my sides-as-entrees meal of asparagus and brussels sprouts steamed, with nothing on them, nope nothing. “I’m on a cleanse,” I announced, tomato-faced, to our waiter, who, let’s be serious, works in New York City and has probably definitely heard this before.

Passler—who, for the record, calls me “Holmes”—also inquired about my workout habits. “Errrrruuummmmeeeehhh I exercise like twice a week? Maybe? Okay, once? Ish? Kind of?” was what I told him. I’m an enthusiastically sporadic Flywheel-er, but, if I was going to Kim-ify myself, that would have to change. Since giving birth to North, Kim says she likes to exercise at home, going for a run in the neighborhood: “Running takes me about 35 minutes on the trails, and then I’ll come back and work my abs or legs. I like to listen to music while I work out, but I don’t need it to pump me up or get energized. It’s weird—I’ll put my iPod on shuffle and listen to slow R&B songs or even classical music, which most people think is so bizarre. I don’t need anything fast.”

Just finished my morning workout

A post shared by Kim Kardashian West (@kimkardashian) on May 13, 2014 at 9:16am PDT

So, after I added meaty protein back into my diet, I went running for seven four days straight. On the first day I queued up a little Ludwig van Beethoven on my iPhone ready to do this thang. Friends, have you ever exercised to classical music? Spoiler alert: Those violins don’t tune out shit. You can hear yourself breathing. Do you know what my breathing sounds like when I’m running? It sounds like I’m DYING. I find that very disturbing. After three remarkably un-zen minutes of “Symphony No. 5,” I switched to Rihanna. Sorry, Kim.

As for the running, after I got over the fact that I am not in shape (#30percent), I decided I felt good. I had more energy for the rest of the day, I slept better, and, in the mornings when I woke up an hour earlier to get my run-ab-leg fun times in, I was incredibly productive. Sure, it lasted a week, BUT I’ve upped my workout game, hitting Flywheel or running at least twice a week. For real this time.

And guys, in three weeks, I lost seven pounds of fat. Seven pounds! That’s like a royal baby! 10 pounds total, but according to Passler’s zippy little body scanner, seven of those LBs were my not-so-hard earned fat. So #BLESSED. (And so lucky to have a celeb nutritionist helping me every step of the way.)

Was it easy? No. People are weird about other people’s diets. They don’t understand, they’re concerned, sometimes they’re even jealous. Is it fun to turn down an ice cream sandwich and a glass of wine? No dudes, I’d much rather pound that pint of mint chocolate chip heaven you’re brandishing in front of my face, but…once I started to eat healthier and started to feel (not just see) the results, it did become easier. It’s a tradeoff that’s worth it…but I will be having some mano a mano time with Passler to discuss reintroducing Cabernet Sauvingon back into my life.

Since Dr. Passler couldn’t help me in the all-important butt department, I decided to turn to another professional: face and body guru Tracie Martyn. Kim swears by Tracie’s Face and Body Resculpting Cream, so I contacted the salon to see what they could do to put some badonk in my badonkadonk help me. Co-owner Marius Morariu immediately recommended the Resculpting Body Treatment, “a unique, effective yet relaxing spa service that helps to lift, firm, and contour the body including areas that women and men most feel self-conscious about. It utilizes our proprietary equipment, the Resculptor, that delivers a mild electric current to energize and tone the areas worked on.” Contour? That’s the Karmagic word, Marius! Also, “lift, firm, tone?” INTO IT.

The “mild electric current” thing was slightly worrisome, but a) I had seen Khloe Kardashian survive something of that nature on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, b) “LIFT, FIRM, TONE,” people!

But unlike what seems like a rather painful procedure on KUWTK, the Resculpting Body Treatment was a breeze—it was relaxing, pleasant even. After changing into a pair of paper undies (which, frankly, seemed unnecessary considering what these ladies were about to do), one of the technicians assessed my, well, ass. Promising that the treatment would diminish the appearance of cellulite and smooth everything over, she explained that my thut area and muffin top would be depuffed post-treatment. “OMG IS THAT A REAL THING?” I shouted/asked super cooly. I would have hugged her, but, you know…paper undies.

I hopped on the table and immediately two technicians went to work. If there were an Olympic medal for synchronized butt sculpting, these two women would have earned gold. Each using two probes that look like the appendages from your mom’s electric mixer, they zapped each lathered up section of my buttox in perfect harmony—coincidentally set to some very pleasant classical music that, this time, I appreciated.

Sally Holmes

The lead technician had warned me that I might feel some of the zaps, but when I felt the little jolt of electricity it was more like a tickle—and similarly to when you use lip balm that burn-tingles slightly when used, I experienced a satisfied it’s working feeling. The service, which starts at $150 per hour per associate (can you really put a price on art though?), lasted an hour and a half and when I was done, I could see the results immediately.

To maintain the photoshoot-ready derriere, Morariu recommends “ideally three sessions to start with, with two associates within the first month, and one hour with two associates per month as a follow up.” Which is a lot. But, after seeing my results, I can understand how this would be addictive. Checking out my butt in Tracie Martyn’s mirror, I was proud. I wanted to take this baby to the beach, ASAP. Pert! Round! CHECK ME OUT J.LO!

Inspired by my newfound buttfindence, I sent my first-ever frext to one of my best girlfriends. Then, mad on butt hubris, I dropped the pic into a lady group text. My butt was a star…I would show you, honest to God, I would, but for the sake of my parents, grandfather, and future possibly English-accented children (a girl can dream, right?) I am not going to willingly post my nearly naked butt on the Internet. Again.

Meanwhile, that Resculpting cream Kim’s into? Been Resculpting my under-eye bags ever since, dolls.

I need laser hair removal bad!!!! Help @laseraway

— Kim Kardashian West (@KimKardashian) April 17, 2015

Next on my #BodyByKim plan was laser hair removal. If you have to ask why Kim needs laser hair removal, well, AHEM. Also, did you see that Yeezy number? When you’re Kim Kardashian West, you can’t risk downtime between waxes or shaving—you must always be ready to be oiled up and naked.

That is a HIGH cut panty, people. Tyler Joe; Instagram

So on a lovely Saturday morning, I strolled over in my weekend I-might-be-going-to-the-gym clothes, to Spruce & Bond to get a laser hair treatment. After I derobed, my lovely technician explained the procedure, comparing the pain to a shot (like from a needle, not a weapon, stop panicking, guys), and ranking it as a “2” on a 1-5 pain scale. She also pronounced me a great laser hair candidate (self-five for being super pale!) and passed me a stress ball. Ominous?

Let’s be real for a sec: I’m a wuss. And a self-diagnosed hypochondriac. I freak out a lot. I also <3 whining. But seriously, laser hair removal is no joke. I don’t know what kind of crazy electric eel Kool-Aid this technician is drinking, but those zaps hurt. Like, This Is Not a Drill Level 4 hurt. Oh, you can also smell your hair burning while you’re gripping that stress ball.

After I calmly expressed that this FREAKING HURT about two seconds in, the technician got a cold compress and followed each zap with a relieving dab…and the whole thing lasted about five minutes. “That’s it?” I asked, regaining a normal breathing pattern. That was it. In about two weeks, the hair would start to fall out on its own (I could shave or let it do it’s thing during that period), and then I’d have to come back for a few more sessions. Lying there, I decided it wasn’t thaaaat bad after all (I must have the gift of immediate selective memory), and right then and there stripped off my shirt and had my new laser-wielding friend zap my armpits.

I’m coming for you, Kimmy.

But, this wouldn’t be a true Kimsperience without waist-training. Fashion Editor Danielle Prescod did the whole waist-training thing last year, so I knew what I was in for. Danielle deigned to loan me the waist-trainer she’d outgrown (or outshrunk, really), so I could start rearranging my organs training pronto!

For one thing, wearing a waist-trainer is hot—and not like let me pretend I’m in Moulin Rouge for the night corset-hot, like super sweaty-hot. It’s like its own little furnace forcing you to sit up straight while you pretend to smile through the sweat. You can also never take a full breath. You’re supposed to exercise in the thing, but since I could barely put enough air in my lungs to house my veggie-lunch, I chose to stay away from too much movement while wearing the contraption.

It did, however give me a figure. “But where do your organs go?” one confused male friend asked me. “No clue,” I answered. Hourglass figure > Organs, amirite? Well… at the end of day one, when I unhooked myself and my stomach once again assumed its natural position, I had a new appreciation for the roominess provided to my kidneys, etc. I also had welt-like marks where the edges of the waist trainer had cut off circulation to my muffin top.

After that, I wore the waist-trainer enough so I could feel I’d given it a shot—I wore it while watching TV with my parents, I wore it while reorganizing my shoes, I wore it while TYPING THIS SENTENCE. But, to be honest, I’d rather listen to a soundtrack of myself wheezing like a dying animal during a set of crunches than wear that thing one more day.

But, waist-training or not, I do feel Kim-tastic. I’m healthier, fitter, and ready to wear a Baywatch-cut swimsuit whenevs. And I feel really good. I’d toast myself with a glass of Champagne, but alas, I’m still not drinking. At least not just yet.

And they say I didn’t have a talent…try balancing a champagne glass on your ass LOL #BreaktheInternet #KimKardashian

Kim Kardashian’s school pal shares album of unseen snaps and claims she was a “normal dorky teenager”

Grinning widely with wire braces on her teeth, it is hard to believe that this dorky teenager would become one of the most famous women in the world.

Kim Kardashian was then just 15 and loved nothing more than larking about with her best friend and top US fashion designer Nikki Lund.

Pulling a funny face as she and Nikki posed for photobooth snaps, the schoolgirl was studious and well behaved.

When she was a teenager she loved the Spice Girls and J-Lo and couldn’t wait to own her own clothes shop.

Kim, 34, rocked up to Paris Fashion Week on Friday with her new blonde locks, but her career as the world’s most famous reality television star only started after the tragic loss of her father.

Top Hollywood lawyer Rob Kardashian – the man who got OJ Simpson acquitted of his murder charge in 1995 – was the parent who made sure Kim lived a normal life and worked hard at school.

Schoolfriend Nikki Lund says Kim was “absolutely heartbroken” when Rob died after losing his battle with oesophageal cancer in 2003.

Nikki recalled: “Kim was a daddy’s girl, she adored her father and when she died she was devastated.

“Rob was the one who would make sure she was working hard and that she was behaving herself. I don’t think this whole thing would be happening to her right now if he was still alive.

“She never wanted to be famous, it just kind of happened. She was always the quiet girl sitting in the corner while we were all being loud.

“Rob was a very successful man, he had a great sense of humour – so has Kim and I think that’s where she gets it from. We all loved Rob.

“He guided Kim, he mentored her, he ushered her into womanhood.”

Rob, was married to Kim’s mother Kris Jenner until 1991, and took Kim and her siblings, Kourtney, now 35, Khloe, 30, and Rob Jnr, 27, to church every week.

After their parents split, the children would spend half of the week with Rob in Benedict Canyon near Beverly Hills, and the other with Kris, 59, with then husband and former US Olympic star Bruce Jenner in Malibu.

Nikki, who has known Kim since she was ten, said: “Rob is the one who shaped Kim. When he died it took her a very long time to get over it.

“He was such a good dad. A huge hole has been left but Kim has always been close to Bruce. She sees him as her father now and they get on very well.”

Kim and her mother and sisters have reportedly just signed a £65million deal to make another four series of Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

But the big-bummed beauty is the last person Nikki, has a hit This Is It in the UK charts, thought would end up being famous – because she was just so “normal”.

Nikki, now 33, explained: “Kim was studious, she wanted to be a good student.

“She worked hard at school, she didn’t get straight A’s but the teachers liked her. She’d never bunk off school.

“Kim was pretty quiet. She was obsessed with Jennifer Lopez, she would sing If You Had My Love all of the time. She thought she was beautiful.

“She also fancied P Diddy and Jamie Foxx – Kim always liked African-American men.”

Nikki, who now runs US fashion label Nikki Rich with former Bon Jovi rocker Richie Sambora, has also partnered up with Hollywood’s showbiz svengali Larry Rudolph, who manages Britney Spears and Miley Cyrus to become a brand in her own right.

Talking about her teenager years with Kim, she said they would watch US soap Melrose Place and teen-angst drama My So Called Life, starring Claire Danes, and they would also talk about diets.

Nikki said: “Kim was always on some sort of diet, we all were. She did the no-carbs thing and would ask for a burger with no bun.

“She was conscious of what she looked like, she didn’t have her bum then but the boys liked her. Kim got a lot of attention back then.”

Above all, though, Nikki says Kim is the best friend you can have and that you could “trust her with your life”.

Nikki said: “She was just so normal. We didn’t get into trouble, we didn’t drink or smoke, we just hung out in each other’s bedrooms talking about boys.”

As well as J-Lo, Kim was also obsessed with the Spice Girls and loved to dress up as Victoria Beckham.

Nikki said: “We were a bit dorky really. We loved the Spice Girls, when we were like 15 and 16 and we loved dressing up as them and singing along to their songs. Kim loved Posh Spice, she thought she was the prettiest one and she loved what she wore.

“She went out and bought herself a black leather dress with slits in it – it was exactly like Posh’s.

“Kim would do her make up like Posh’s and her hair was similar so she did actually really look like her.”

Kim and Nikki would hang around with Kimberly Stewart, her brother Sean and at times, even their dad veteran Scots rocker Rod Stewart.

But despite growing up in the playground of the rich and famous, Kim had no desire to be a celebrity.

Kim, who is now worth about £50million, had only two ambitions from an early age – to work in a clothes shop and be a good mum.

Nikki, who will unveil her solo fashion Nikki Lund Clothing at Los Angeles Fashion Week on March 18, explained: “She would have manicures, pedicures, and always made sure her hair looked nice. But she loved clothes.

“When she left school she got a job in a shop called Body in LA’s affluent Encino area. She worked there as a clerk – a shop assistant – and she loved it. She loved being around clothes.”

A savvy businesswoman, she loved sorting out people’s wardrobes and selling their unwanted items on eBay for a 20 per cent commission.

Nikki added: “But she always wanted to be a good mum, she would talk about having children and wanting to care for them.”

Kim’s first serious boyfriend was Beau Dozier, the son of Motown hitmaker Lamont Dozier. They dated throughout high school and got engaged when Kim was 19.

When they split she started dating Jermaine Jackson’s son, Jermaine Jnr, now 38.

During this time Kim got to know Michael Jackson well and struck up a friendship with him during her trips to his Neverland ranch.

Nikki said: “Kim loved Michael. We would often go up to Neverland when she was dating Jermaine and we had so much fun.

“We would see the monkeys, hang out with them, see Michael’s kids, and enjoy what Neverland had to offer. We got to know Michael well too.

“Kim adored him so it was very sad for us when he died. We had some good times with him.”

Kim married rapper Kanye West last year and the couple have a daughter together, 21-month-old North.

Nikki added: “Kim is family, family, family, that is what is most important to her so I don’t think she takes the whole (celebrity) thing so seriously. She works so hard and she is happy, particularly when she is at home with her little girl.

“Kris and Kim are very close, they always have been. Nothing much has changed about Kim, and her relationship with her sisters and parents, except that now – thanks to their TV show – everybody knows all about it.”

Fans Are Freaking Out Over Kim Kardashian West’s Body In Her Recent Photo

Kim Kardashian West has one of the most well-known figures in the celebrity world. She’s had curves for years, and fans have always been puzzled by how she gets her body. Though Kardashian has vehemently denied having any plastic surgery or implants, her figure has become a major part of her notability. And fans can’t get over how she looks in a recent photo.

Kardashian West’s body has stirred up some rumors through the years

Kardashian West has been gaining popularity since her family’s reality show premiered in 2007, but her figure has always stirred up rumors among fans and critics. She’s become known for having a large rear end, though people have questioned how something like that could be natural. Years ago, Kardashian had her butt X-rayed to prove to fans that it was real, though today, there is still controversy surrounding whether an X-ray could actually reveal butt implants.

Kardashian West has also been accused of having many other types of plastic surgery, especially in her face. Although she has admitted to Botox and facial filler, she has always denied ever going under the knife for any procedure.

Fans recently said she looks unrecognizable in photos

Through the years, Kardashian West’s appearance has changed drastically, as well as her social media photos. The photos she posts always appear extremely airbrushed, especially those taken for photoshoots. Kardashian West has often been accused of using Photoshop in her posts, and she’s been caught red-handed multiple times (such as the one time she accidentally put six toes on her left foot). Plus, with all the filler she’s been receiving as she approaches her 40s, fans have suggested she looks more unrecognizable than ever.

In a recent photo, people were obsessing over her curves

Though Kardashian West has taken heat for her body and whether it’s real, some think she looks incredible. And in a recent post, Kardashian West’s small, curvy waistline was the center of attention. She posted a throwback from her days as a blonde, and in the photo, she was wearing a dress she borrowed from her younger sister, Kylie Jenner. The tight, white dress hugged her curves, and fans were freaking out over how great she looked. “All I want for Christmas is that waist,” one user commented. “This dress on you OMG,” another person wrote. The comments section was flooded with compliments over the way the dress fit Kardashian West.

Fans have expressed concern over the Kardashians’ appearances

Though Kardashian West has millions of true fans who support her no matter what, some have expressed more and more concern over the change in appearance many of the family members have had through the years. Though Kourtney Kardashian and Kendall Jenner prefer to keep things more natural, Khloé Kardashian has been accused of plastic surgery, and people on social media often refer to Kylie as “plastic.” Despite the haters, the women seem to keep stiff upper lips (no pun intended) and continue to post photos that please their fans. They all seem very comfortable in their own skin.
