“Typically for shapewear brands, three colors is the standard offering. We have nine,” says Collier-Ungano. “The approach with skin-tone cover is that it might not match your skin tone perfectly. Everyone’s skin tone changes throughout the year but we want to make sure that women have options. Now moving forward, our approach to skin tone is we want to make sure that we are matching where we can, complementing always.”
“I hadn’t seen multiple shades of nude in warmer, deeper colors and I think that’s just so important,” Kardashian West says.

Collier-Ungano says the company will eventually release products in complementary colors such as bright pinks and grays. In addition, its commitment to inclusivity will also apply to pricing, with all products falling between $18 and $98.

Kardashian West has been wearing Skims in public for months—and no one noticed.
Not only does Skims’s creator say she wears the bodysuit under all her suits and the shorts “pretty much every single day,” she wore the Skims shorts to the Met Gala with her infamous Thierry Mugler, breathing-lessons-necessary dress.
“I wore it underneath the corset that I had, so because my dress was made of fabric that had these crystals hanging from it. Each one was hand done but it had the plastic sticking out so it hurt, it was itchy, and so I needed a barrier,” she says. “It just lifted perfectly and it was amazing.”
Testing has been extensive, including among other Kardashian-Jenner women.
Kardashian West has been wearing and testing products herself for more than half a year now, considering every detail of fit. For example, she says the shorts were engineered down to each stitch: “By the thigh, I was so careful. Sometimes it just cuts you off. I made sure went out just a touch so it doesn’t cut you off. And everything is seamless.”
Additional, she shares that her sisters have not only all worn the products but have been shot for campaign images that have yet to be seen. “We all have our own business stuff going on, sometimes it’s hard to mingle it all together. I was just pleasantly surprised they all love the products so much, and all having different body types that they all were like ‘We’d love to do this,’” she says.
Don’t call it “shapewear.”
“Solutions are for everyone, shapewear is kind of an outdated term,” says Collier-Ungano about the distinguishing factor between Skims and other brands. “It says if you have a problem with your body you need it. We want women to feel like the most confident version of themselves.”
As the VP explains, this means offering support, coverage, and emphasis for women of all sizes, especially given Skims’s three different levels of tension. “It’s just the idea of the solution and ways to make someone feel good when they’re getting dressed and also when they’re getting undressed.”
Celebrity beauty brands KKW Beauty and Kylie Cosmetics
Celebrity reality stars Kardashian, and Jenner sisters have worked hard to make a name for themselves creating a brand around their family, completely from scratch. They quickly catapulted to fame when their reality television show ‘Keeping Up with the Kardashians’ became hugely popular, Kim Kardashian, in particular, catapulting the Kardashian name into the limelight. She and her beautiful, talented sisters have gone from success to success in business.
Both KKW Beauty (Kim Kardashian West) and Kylie Cosmetics (Kylie Jenner) are relatively new ranges of cosmetics and fragrances, providing beauty products for young women who strive to attain the stunning beauty that the Kardashian and Jenner women are famous for. Though new to the fashion world compared to the likes of Estee Lauder and Elizabeth Arden the two brands are taking the world by storm, bringing women around the globe the means to enhance their natural beauty.
Using the power of Social Media, as the Kardashian and Jenner sisters are adept at doing, the women have successfully launched their beauty lines to young women around the globe, ensuring their current success and boding well for the future popularity of their quality product ranges.
Kylie Cosmetics, founded in 2015 by Kylie Jenner, began as Kylie Lip Kits but soon required a name change when the range of quality makeup expanded to include other cosmetics. With an estimated value of $900 million in 2018 the success of the company is undisputed, and at just a mere 20 years old founder Kylie Jenner is on the fast track to becoming one of the world’s youngest billionaires.
The success of Kylie Cosmetics is due largely to the huge following Kylie herself has amassed on the likes of the social media network Instagram. 110 million female teens and young women see Kylie as an icon, so marketing the young businesswoman’s range of beauty products has been primarily through word of mouth and social media. The company doesn’t seem to have a need for traditional advertising, and the products are not available for purchase in stores.
Cashing in on her natural beauty, Kylie Jenner created not only individual makeup items for lips, eyes, and face but also kits that make it easier for her customers to achieve the perfect look for their individual and unique skin tone and features. Products can be purchased from her website www.kyliecosmetics.com, where customers can also take advantage of sale prices, find out about new products just launched, and buy gift cards. Kylie’s first product launch was so successful that the website crashed, as teens and young women bought out stocks of the three-shade lip kit within hours.
KKW Beauty is the brainchild of Kim Kardashian West and was launched in 2017. After establishing a new makeup technique called contouring, it seemed only natural that the hugely popular reality star and social media influencer help her followers attain that signature look themselves, hence the launch of a contouring makeup kit being her first foray into the world of selling beauty products. Though the kit didn’t include the actual makeup, it did provide the tools necessary, but it wasn’t long before more products that did include makeup items joined the hugely popular contouring kit, each one being as extremely well received as the original.
In the early stages of the company, the focus was on cosmetics for the lips, but it wasn’t too long before the stunning beauty added makeup for face and eyes to her range of quality products. Where Kim Kardashian West went a step further than many creators of a cosmetic line is to add fragrances to the list of products available. The packaging of her fragrance range is luxurious in its simplicity, encasing each unique scent in a crystal bottle in the ever-popular shade of nude.
Given her sister Kylie’s huge success with Kylie Cosmetics it seems only natural that Kim would launch a cosmetic range but due in part to her products only having been available for a little over a year KKW Beauty’s worth is only estimated at around $100 million, in significant contrast to the almost $1 billion worth her sister’s company is estimated to be worth. Given another two years to expand the range of KKW Beauty products it is likely that the two sisters will both be operating billion-dollar cosmetic companies.
Like Kylie, Kim’s makeup and fragrances are available to purchase via a website dedicated solely to the KKW Beauty range. Geared towards women in their 20’s and 30’s KKW Beauty fans can see and buy from www.kkwbeauty.com. Along with the individual products, there are also kits designed to give her customers the opportunity to achieve that all-over flawless beauty Kim herself seemingly manages effortlessly. Kim has also produced a video for her customers to follow along and learn how to use her user-friendly products.
What both women have been savvy about is ensuring their products are priced to sell. Though the sisters are celebrities, they realize that not everyone has the financial resources to spend on higher priced makeup and therefore have made their product prices manageable. Not cheap by some standards most products are priced in the $20 to $60-dollar range, with kits commanding a higher price that reflects a large number of items included.
Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian West can both be found on social media, Instagram is one of the more popular networks, where they share beauty tips and tricks to help their followers and customers enhance their natural beauty and gain confidence in looking great.
Reality star mogul Kim Kardashian West admits she has her hands full at the moment.
The mother of four is not only a full-time reality star on the family’s show, “Keeping Up With Kardashians,” but she is also the founder of multiple companies (KKW Beauty, KKW Fragrance and SKIMS), and she’s a law student on top of that.
West admits she has a lot of help (a handful of nannies, assistants and publicists), but she says she does also have two tricks that help “keep her sane” when she feels overworked.
“Everything is super organized in my house — micromanaged to the minute,” Kim Kardashian West tells Poosh.com, her sister Kourtney Kardashian’s wellness website.
One of the tricks West uses is to lay out her workout clothes the night before her daily 6 a.m., hour-long workout with her personal trainer.
“I will lay my clothes out the night before so when I sleep in, I’ll wake up at 5:53 instead of 5:45, and I just know my outfit is there. I have a toothbrush and my toothpaste all ready to go laid out by my sink. I just have to brush my teeth and go to the gym,” she says.
The small trick, she says, helps her not to stress out in the morning — and is a time-saver.
West’s trainer’s Melissa Alcantara told CNBC Make It in July that she meets West at her home to train her at least five days a week.
West’s mom and manager, Kris Jenner, 63, previously told Poosh.com that her early morning treadmill workouts at home have been one of the keys to her success.
On most days, Jenner said that she wakes up at around 4:30 a.m. or 5:30 a.m, and the first thing she does is have coffee and check her emails “real quick” before hopping on the treadmill. “If I can be on that treadmill for 45 minutes to an hour, it’s golden,” she said.
West also tries to do everything in close proximity to her and her husband Kanye West’s $60 million Calabasas, California home.
“I try to keep everything as local as possible,” says West.
That saved time allows her to “make sure that I spend enough time doing the things that I really want to do, like waking my kids up, getting them ready for school, having breakfast with them and dropping them off at school, because those things will keep me sane when I’m overworked,” West says.
West says in a perfect world, she would love to go to bed early but with law school, she spends most of her nights reading until around 11 p.m., which means she averages around six hours 45 minutes of sleep a night (slightly below the recommended seven to nine hours).

After going through the garment-filled rail, the E! star gushed that, “There are literally the most amazing things in here.”
Gushing over the clothing range, Kim then asked, “Guys, what should I try on? There’s just so much! Thank you Beyonce so much. Thank you Adidas.”
The reality star then slipped into a number of outfits from the collection and modelled a maroon body suit set to Bey’s hit Run the World (Girls).
Kim then took shared close-up videos of her wearing a form-fitting two-piece and matching sneakers.

The beauty mogul concluded her fashion forward videos by thanking Beyonce and Adidas for sending her the collection.
She penned: “Sorry I’m sooo late! Congrats @beyonce and @adidas on such a hugely successful launch. I love everything and can’t wait to wear it all!!”
Beyonce first launched her athleisure brand in 2016 with Topshop, but the collection re-launched in January with Adidas.
Initially the collection was sent to the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Zendaya, who shared the garments online.

In the wake of the starlets promoting it, it was believed that Kim didn’t receive the range, sparking suggestion she and the songstress weren’t on the best terms, which has now been put to bed.
While the women are on good terms, Kim and Beyonce’s friendship was initially blighted after their husbands had a huge public falling out at the tail end of 2016.
During his Saint Pablo tour, Kanye had a now infamous 17-minute-long rant in which he criticised Jay Z for not asking how Kim was following her Paris robbery ordeal, and for not bringing his family by the house.

Despite Kanye being treated for a psychological breakdown shortly after the rant, Jay revealed in 2017 that he still hadn’t forgiven his former friend for speaking publicly about his family.
Speaking on Tidal’s Rap RADAR podcast, he explained: “You got hurt, because this guy was talking about you on a stage. But what really hurt me, you can’t bring my kid or my wife into it.
“Like, Kanye is my little brother. He’s talked about me a hundred times. He even made a song called ‘Big Brother.’ We’ve gotten past bigger issues, but you brought my family into it, now it’s a problem.

Adding: “You know it’s a problem because me and him would have been talked about it, been resolved our issues. And he knows he crossed the line. He knows. And I know he knows.”
However in an interview with New York Times’ T magazine in 2017, the rapper tried to downplay any tension between the two, branding their relationship as “complicated”.
Despite years of animosity, the pair appeared to be on good terms after they reunited at Diddy’s birthday party in December and were caught on camera smiling and joking.

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West release adorable children’s clothing collection
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have released a children’s clothing line.
Rapper Kanye is no stranger to fashion having released a number of collections himself and before Kim’s profile grew on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, she ran clothing boutique Dash with her sisters Kourtney and Khloe.
The girls’ have now expanded their business with stores in a number of cities in America and they are also known in the style world for their Kardashian Kollection line.
But Kim’s collaboration with husband Kanye is a first and kids around the world can now look just like their little ones North and Saint.
The couple’s line is on TheKidsSupply.com and Kim announced the news on Twitter on Thursday ahead of Friday’s release.
She wrote: “For the past few years Kanye and I have made almost all of our kids clothes and we have collaborated on a new kids line!
“TheKidsSupply has been what we’ve been working on for a long time. I’m so excited about this!
“All of my friends would ask where we get our kids clothes so now they will be available! Tomorrow’s drop is so sick! Just a hint…Calabasas.”
She added: “Kanye hand drew our KIDS logo.”
Kim was quick to retweet messages from fans who were complimentary about the clothes.

For anyone with an Instagram account, it’s been near-impossible to avoid Beyoncé’s Ivy Park x Adidas recent collection drop. In a stroke of marketing genius, the singer-designer sent giant orange wardrobes filled with pieces from her new line to a bunch of Hollywood celebrities, who then proceeded to post their unboxing footage on the social platform. Reese Witherspoon, Janelle Monáe, and Cardi B are just a few of the lucky names who received (and shared) the much-coveted release. The latest celebrity to rep the line? Kim Kardashian West. Yesterday, the star posted her fresh unboxing to her Stories—and then styled one of the athletic-inspired looks in the most KKW way possible, too.

“There are so many amazing things in here,” Kardashian West said as she opened the clothes-filled wardrobe. “What should I try on?” After picking through a bodysuit, some track pants, and a few of the sneakers, she landed on the Ivy Park piece that suited her best: a sheer, ruched bodysuit, which she then did a mini runway walk in to the tune of Beyonce’s “Run The World (Girls).” It fell perfectly in line with the bodycon pieces that she’s worn before, whether from her husband Kanye West’s line, Yeezy, or archival Jean Paul Gaultier—but leave it to Kim to give an athletic line a sexier, vampier twist. After the first try-on, she then slipped into a more sporty look: a skin-tight tracksuit with racing stripes on the side. Considering Kardashian West is the queen of athleisure, there’s no doubt she’ll be putting these clothes to good use.
