The Queen of Harts is known for her technical proficiency in the ring and for being one of the true trailblazers of the Women’s Revolution.
And it certainly doesn’t endear her any lesser to fans that she’s such a bug cat person either!
As much as Ronda Rousey may have wanted to insinuate during their feud that Nikki Bella’s former relationship with John Cena was the reason for her success, the truth is that Nikki has always excelled at what she did.
She transformed herself into a very successful in ring competitor, as well as maintain various successful interests outside of wrestling.
Nia Jax is a force of nature inside the ring – as she has demonstrated time and again.
She may be a strong proponent of healthy body image, but she doesn’t think twice about racking up the bodies of whoever steps to her inside the squared circle.
The face of the WWE Women’s division and arguably the face of the WWE itself, Ronda Rousey is a once in a lifetime Olympic caliber athlete who was the first – and till date, most successful – woman fighter in the UFC with 6 Title defences.
She is also the RAW Women’s Champion as of this writing. An absolute inspiration.
Mickie James is a veteran and a true trailblazer for the Women of WWE. With her snappy in-ring skill set, she still outworks half the roster and as always, is extremely dependable on the microphone.
A wonderful influence to look up to and work with for the RAW locker room.
Despite being kicked almost to the point of losing consciousness by Brie Bella, Liv Morgan proved that she’s much more than just a pretty face with the way she toughed it out and hung in there to finish the match.
Otherworldly toughness and grit to see the situation through. What can I say?
You only live once.
The leader of the Riott Squad, Ruby Riott is well on her way to establishing herself as a fixture of Monday Night Raw.
Always game to go and never one to back down from a challenge, Ruby and co. have crossed swords with the who’s who of the women’s roster and more than held their own.
The Hugger of WWE is a fixture of RAW programming and is responsible for one of the greatest matches in NXT history alongside our next entry, Sasha Banks.
The quintessential babyface, Bayley fills in for the absence of John Cena capably.
The Boss is one of the best wrestlers on the roster – not just among the women.
And she’s been part of some of the rivalries that defined the Women’s Revolution in the WWE alongside Charlotte Flair and Bayley.
Loyal to a fault to Ruby and Liv, Sarah Logan has been the backbone upon which the Riott Squad has functioned ever since they made their main roster debut.
But don’t mistake her for just another cog in the wheel…she’s just as dangerous in singles competition.
Alexa Bliss, or the Goddess of WWE as she’d prefer to be called, is a must watch Superstar who is always in the thick of things. She backs up her formidable mic skills by being equally canny in the ring and has garnered a reputation for getting the job done – no matter what it takes.
Brie Bella’s contribution to the WWE may be considerable, but her willingness to put her career on hold so that Daniel Bryan can live his dream of performing yet again is nothing short of legendary.
If you’re a Daniel Bryan fan and glad that he’s back (and the WWE Champion at the time of this writing), you have Brie Bella to thank for it.
Dana Brooke is a power based wrestler who’s athleticism and explosiveness in the ring has the potential to take her some ways in her career.
She has all the attributes of being a standout performer in the long run.
Ember Moon’s run in NXT was nothing short of phenomenal, and she’s carried all that momentum into her main roster run. With one of the most over finishers in the Eclipse, this effervescent performer has all the marking of a future Champion.
Perhaps the only woman who can match Nia Jax in the strength and power department, Tamina is a dangerous foe who has the business steeped in her blood.
With her injury troubles behind her, she will be looking to make her formidable presence felt in the women’s division going forward.
How can a loser ever win? That is a line from The Bee Gees 1970’s hit tune, “How Can You Mend A Broken Heart.” It seems both those questions are being answered in real time with the promo for Ronda Rousey’s return to MMA with an upcoming fight against Charlotte Flair in a WWE format.
For those who have vague memories of a successful Rousey, you will have to go back a few years to 2015. That year, on August 1st, she dispatched Bethe Correia in a snappy 34 seconds. She was seen as being invincible and was tagged as the best woman MMA fighter on the planet. She got dropped by Holly Holm 3 months later in just under a minute, then 13 months later (lucky 13?) she lost to Amanda Nunes is 47 seconds.
Rousey, newly married and apparently highly confident, returns to the MMA arena looking to climb back up the mountain and regain her previous bravado. Apparently, the best road to do that on is to restore her reputation as a winner, something she has failed to do since her loss to Holm. One argument is that she has not even really tried, that her psyche is shot and falls way short of the confidence needed to return as a consistent winner.
One thing she may have working in her favor is her recent marriage to Travis Browne, himself an MMA fighter who is ranked 14th in the UFC. Not only can a new life create new hope, but she has a sparring partner who she can actually relate to. It is likely he has shown her some of his personal moves that can actually help her in her upcoming fight.
Regardless of the outcome, her ego will be smoothed over because of the interest in the fight that will be converted into dollars. It has been more than two years since she stood victorious, competing only once since then and has reached the age of 30. The WWE is more about wrestling, and while there are those who believe making the transition should be no problem for Rousey, she has little training or experience in that area. Which is another reason an upcoming fight will draw a lot of attention.
Despite her fall from MMA (and UFC) grace, she is still one of the most popular and recognizable women athletes in the world. And there is another perspective to take on this WWE venture, which is that Americans love to see their favorite stars recover from being knocked off their perch. There is something about seeing the mighty fall and pick themselves up again that people are willing to pay money for. The ratings of the Rousey-Flair fight will be closely watched by the WWE to see if Rousey can create a new buzz in the woman’s division of the WWE as it has suffered a loss of interest by fans recently.
Whatever the result of the fight, she will manage to come out on top and show that a loser can win.
Ronda Rousey’s body transformation photo shows frightening difference from last fights
Fear the return.
Amanda Nunes might be walking into an ambush.
Ronda Rousey looks destructive as she showed off her physique ahead of Friday night’s showdown at UFC 207.
The Californian hasn’t stepped into the octagon since November 14 of 2015 when Holly Holm shocked the world with a second round TKO of the undefeated Rowdy.
Now, over 58 weeks later, she’s back.
But she’s back with what looks like serious vengeance.
Ahead of the fight with Nunes, Rousey took to her Instagram page to show off the work she has been doing to get back under the lights and perform in front of the world again.
She posted a picture from last February when she beat Cat Zingano and she compared it with how she looks now for the Nunes bout.
It’s safe to say, they’re pretty different.
Rousey looks leaner, tighter, and her muscle mass looks potent.
In both of these pictures, she’s preparing for a bantamweight fight but it seems that it’s abundantly clear that she’s only tuned in 100 per cent in one of them.
She’ll never take an opponent for granted now.
And, when you compare the pre-Nunes shots with the pre-Holm ones, the difference is just as noticeable.
Ronda Rousey has always been one of the most exciting fighters in MMA and her potential once knew no bounds.
Now the bear has been poked, the beast has been angered and she’s ready to inflict revenge on all those who ever doubted, hurt, or just annoyed her.

Ronda Rousey has revealed the disappointment felt after losing to Holly Holm at UFC 193 prompted some thoughts of suicide.
The former UFC bantamweight champion was shockingly knocked out in November last year and took a while to return to the public eye.
But speaking on the The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday (h/t Paul Chavez of the Daily Mail), she opened up at length for the first time about the defeat and how she was initially distraught in the immediate aftermath:
I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself and that exact second I’m like ‘I’m nothing, what do I do anymore and no one gives a s–t about me anymore without this.’ …
To be honest I looked up and I saw my man Travis was standing up there and I looked up at him and I was like, I need to have his babies. I need to stay alive.
Rousey headed into the fight with Holm as the heavy favourite, having never been beaten in professional MMA and having dominated all of her recent opponents.
However, the underdog executed a superb game plan, fighting at range, using her superior striking and gradually wearing down the champion, who grew increasingly sloppy as the fight continued. Eventually, Rousey was stopped in the second round on the back of a brutal left hand and a thunderous kick to the head from Holm.
Here’s a look at how the fight panned out, as Holm stunned the MMA world in Melbourne, Australia:
“In that first hit I cut open my whole mouth and I knocked my teeth loose,” said Rousey on the show. “I knew she was out there, but like I really don’t remember most of it. So I was trying my best to kind of hide the fact that I wasn’t even there anymore.”
After a frantic 2015 in which Rousey stepped into the Octagon three times and had to cope with the pressures of her rapid rise to sporting superstardom, it’s no surprise she is taking her time to return.
Having been in so many high-pressure situations in such a short amount of time, Rousey conceded that perhaps things did ultimately catch up with her. “I think the one thing that was different was that it was my third title fight in nine months, and I don’t think anyone has ever attempted that before,” she said.

A rematch with Holm at the UFC 200 spectacle later in the summer was ruled out by UFC President Dana White in January, per Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports. However, Rousey did reveal to TMZ Sports that she will be seeking to return to the Octagon later in the year.
As much as MMA fans from across the globe would love to see her back in action soon, it’s preferable that the former champion is patient in her recuperation process rather than making any hasty decisions.
That way, she can return at full tilt and be as prepared as possible in her attempts to dominate the division once again.
Ronda Rousey’s Naturally Beautiful Bridal Look Has Been Revealed
Ronda Rousey and Travis Browne were married in the groom’s native Hawaii this past Saturday, and the couple seemed to be thrilled with how their intimate celebration turned out. Both Rousey and Browne shared multiple Instagram posts about the day, and it’s hard not to notice how great the UFC fighter looked, or her glowing bridal makeup. So how did the star get prepped for the big day? Her makeup artist has the answers.
Hee Soo recently spoke with E! News, and she dished on doing Rousey’s wedding makeup. “She really didn’t have a lot on,” she revealed. “She is an athlete. They tend to have really beautiful skin because they sweat and work out so much. Your natural sweat cleans out your pores,” she added. (How’s that for motivation to keep up with your fitness routine?) But Rousey wanted something minimal anyway. The celeb asked for a “no-makeup makeup look,” which was made even easier thanks to her “little tan.”
Rousey wore orange eyeshadow from Stila on her lids, and By Terry balm on her lips. (Soo loves the latter because it “makes you look like you just bit into a bunch of cherries.”) Soo also made sure that Rousey’s face was waterproof. “I knew her and Travis were going to be kissing a lot, so we wanted something that would not get everywhere and come off on him-that and the crying,” she explained. “Her makeup looks so good because I do a lot of prep on her face beforehand.” Specifically, she used a Fresh exfoliator, Crème de la Mer moisturizer, and Clé de Peau eye cream and foundation.
It’s also been revealed that Rousey stepped out in a gown by Galia Lahav, while Abraham Esparza did the athlete’s hair to finish off her look.

UFC fighter Ronda Rousey put her best face forward on her wedding day. The athlete called in her beloved glam squad to Hawaii to help her primp ahead of her intimate backyard wedding to MMA fighter Travis Browne. Her goal, while using longtime makeup artist Hee Soo, was to put forth a fresh, barely-there makeup look.
“She really didn’t have a lot on,” Soo told E! News this week. “She is an athlete. They tend to have really beautiful skin because they sweat and work out so much. Your natural sweat cleans out your pores.”
Along with her no-frills wedding, Rousey wanted a similar vibe for her hair and makeup. The bride, who looked resplendent in a Galia Lahav couture gown, opted for a simple textured bun crafted by her longtime hairstylist Abraham Esparza before sitting down with Soo.
“The ‘no-makeup makeup look’ was easy because she had a little tan,” she continued. Below, see the steps that the makeup artist took to achieve Rousey’s fresh face.
Prep the Skin
Soo started by using an exfoliator by Fresh on Rousey’s clean face. She then applied every beauty buff’s favorite Crème de la Mer by La Mer, followed by an eye cream by Clé de Peau.

Continuing on with the Clé de Peau products, Soo then applied a foundation by the luxury beauty company that melted into Rousey’s tan skin tone.
Enhance the Eyes
Soo went light around Rousey’s eyes to enhance the bride’s gray pigmentation. The artist used an orange eyeshadow by Stila to draw out Rousey’s feature followed by a smudge of sheer nude in the corners.
Use Waterproof Mascara
Soo has been on Rousey’s team for years, so it only made sense that she knew the day would be filled with tears and a plethora of emotions. Hence, why the pro went for a waterproof mascara that would stay put. “I knew her and Travis were going to be kissing a lot, so we wanted something that would not get everywhere and come off on him—that and the crying,” she told E! “Her makeup looks so good because I do a lot of prep on her face beforehand.”
Pop the Pout
The makeup pro decided to go for color on Rousey’s lips, using a By Terry lip balm in the Berry color. “ makes you look like you just bit into a bunch of cherries,” Soo said.
Overall, the barely-there makeup stayed put despite the heightened emotions. “There was lots of crying and happiness,” Soo concluded. “The makeup lasted all day.”
Rousey, meanwhile, took to Instagram to thank her glam squad for perfecting her wedding day look. ”Thank you @thisisbabe @heeezooo @alejandroperazastyle for flying to the middle of the the Pacific Ocean to help me get ready,” she said before adding an adorable shout-out to her husband. “And thank you @travisbrownemma for choosing me every day forever #wrongmovesucka#YouGoinNowhere.”

Ronda Rousey ascended to WWE champion status on Sunday night, but all most people were talking about was her wild eye makeup.
Rousey faced Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam on Sunday night and won to capture the Raw Women’s Championship. She had an interesting look for the match that included braids in her hair and the heavy eye makeup. The eye makeup swept deep across Rousey’s face, just about joining her hair.

Rousey does have a nice legacy going despite all the makeup criticism. She’s now the first woman to be a UFC and WWE champion. It’s no surprise that she wants to continue in the sport longer than she initially planned.
