(Many are on rollback or clearance, so you’re getting an even better deal.) Their items feature high-tech moisture-wicking fabric, cute details, and durable construction so you feel good when you’re at the gym.

Here are nine pieces that are getting us really excited to sweat. Best part? Each piece sets you back less than 20 bucks.

Never miss a post!

This post is sponsored by Walmart. All opinions are my own.

Are the days of New Years Resolutions so last year? January 1st came and went. And you know what? I am still the exact same person I was in 2018. I’ve decided that instead of making ridiculous resolutions I would most likely fail at I would implement attainable goals and aspirations into my daily life. The main goal I made for myself in 2019 is to add more activities to get my heart rate up and to get healthier. Whether that is eating healthier, going on walks or trying other fun activities, I need to be moving each and everyday. Then I would really have an excuse to wear my activewear all day!

My goal this year is to make exercising fun! I’m not one of those people who can stick with going to a gym multiple times a week. With my busy schedule and lack of motivation to workout I really need to do things that are easily accessible in or around the house. Thankfully, the new neighborhood we moved to is perfect for all things outdoors!

Here’s a little behind the scenes about my history of fitness… I used to workout 24/7. Not your typical workout but instead I played soccer all day everyday for 15 years. I was in the best shape of my life but once soccer ended I stopped working out cold turkey. The good and bad thing was is that I didn’t gain any weight for years after I quit. 10 years later and I’m still pretty much the same size. Getting motivated to actually do a workout is really hard for me. I used to set goals of actually going to the gym to get a good workout but we’re getting creative and implementing more fun activities that would shed the same results.

Affordable Activewear:

My idea of a good workout is doing more extreme activities; riding dirt bikes, hiking, taking Steven on a walk. Grayson recently suggested I try long boarding with him. For as long as I can remember he has been an avid long-boarder. He’s one of those people that can literally just jump on, go super fast and never fall off. That would be the complete opposite when I think of myself attempting to longboard. I kept psyching myself out that I would get on it and the board would slip out from underneath me and I would bust my ass and break something. Fun Fact – I actually broke my tailbone off falling on my butt too many times.

Since Grayson absolutely loves this sport so much I figured I would try it out… I mean, a little husband/wife bonding over long-boarding never hurt anyone. Insert freaked out face. If I can ride a dirt bike, I can long board.

First things first, what in the world do you wear to longboard? I’m all about extreme sports but I also want to be comfortable and look semi-cute.

I opted for a comfortable, affordable activewear look that I had recently found at Walmart. Grayson and I were browsing their LEGO selection a few days ago when I spotted the cutest leggings EVER. They’re actually the pair I am wearing in this post and they were only $11. I had absolutely no idea that Walmart had such a huge selection of clothing. Not to mention, affordable activewear.

Grayson always makes fun of me for getting side-tracked at stores. We go in looking for 1 thing and leave with a slew of things that weren’t even on the list. Ok, that was me at Walmart. I was so excited to find super cute leggings that fit perfectly for only $11. You better believe I left with over $300 in new athletic wear.

I’m not even joking. Everything in the collage above is what I bought from our Walmart trip. Where else can you get an entire activewear outfit for under $75; shoes included! I was even wearing one of the looks when Grayson got home from work yesterday. He was like dang, I like that new outfit! I was like, It’s from Walmart and was only $30 for both pieces!! He was shocked!

Given the lower price Walmart did not skimp on the quality or fit on any of these pieces. They were comparable to pieces you would spend hundreds of dollars on. To be completely honest, I was extremely skeptical thinking about buying clothes from Walmart. I knew nothing about the brands, the fit, the quality. I mean, is there really a pair of athletic leggings that is going to do the job for $10? Or is there really a sports bra that is high impact that costs $13? The answer is yes! Overall, I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with everything I got! They’ve got men‘s too!!

And obviously I was super stoked to wear one of my new affordable activewear outfits to try out a new activity! And I totally killed it! I didn’t fall once! Yes, there were a couple close calls but overall, Grayson was impressed! He was even nice enough to document the entire thing for y’all!

How to find the best clothing for your body type? What woman wouldn’t want a wardrobe of body-flattering clothes—outfits she can slip into confidently, knowing that her assets will be played up and the areas she loves less will be played down?
We have defined body shapes and have made some wardrobe suggestions for you:

  • Apple Shape. A plus size woman with an apple body shape has a prominent, curvier upper body. Concentrate on knee-length dresses with a subtle A-line shape, V-neck or scoop neck tops will create the illusion of a longer torso.
Your ultimate outfit: a wrap dress.
  • Pear Shape. A plus size woman with a pear body shape usually carries weight on the lower half of the body resulting in full hips, heavy thighs or a substantial bottom. The clothing that looks best on a pear body type strike a balance between top and bottom. Go for tops with eye-catching necklines like a boat or square neck draw attention upward and short jackets with shape at the waist.
    Your ultimate outfit: the jumpsuit.
  • Hourglass Shape. A plus size woman with an hourglass body shape has a fuller bust and fuller hips with a smaller waistline. Look for clothes that streamlined fashions that follow your natural body line. Choose high-waisted skirts, a pencil skirt with seaming; slim-cut, body-skimming boot-cut or straight-leg styles with a mid-rise show off your shape.
Your ultimate outfit: an empire-waist dress.
  • Inverted Triangle Shape. A plus size woman with an inverted triangle body shape is widest at the shoulders and bust, while her frame narrows through the hips, thighs and legs. Direct attention away from the upper half and create balance with wrap tops and V-necks, fit and flare dresses and wide leg pants.
Your ultimate outfit: a tunic with wide-leg pants, finished with a pendant necklace to draw the eye away from shoulders.
  • Rectangle Shape The lines of a plus size woman with a rectangular body shape run straight up and down; weight is distributed evenly on top and bottom. Pick out clothing to create curves and make your waist appear narrower. Wrap tops, deep scoop neck tops and V-neck tops are perfect for drawing attention downward. Other good picks? fit and flare dresses, high-waisted skirts and boot-cut jeans.
Your ultimate outfit: a peplum top paired with a pencil skirt.
